"how are you feeling?" yuna's mother asked as she walked into the living room and sat beside her.

it had been about a week since yuna had sprained her ankle and she was recovering quickly. she was just grateful that her ankle wasn't worst or else she wouldn't be able to compete in her track event and it would be kinda embarrassing for the fastest runner of the school to not be there to represent them

"it's better than a week ago. luckily it wasn't too bad" yuna responded as she looked at her mother

her mother nodded, a smile on her face, "so.. since your father has a meeting tonight and won't be back until later..what do you want to eat"

"oo..hmm" yuna began thinking before she thought of an item, "tofu stew?"

she chuckled, patting her head, "sure thing yuyu. do you want to invite jake and sunghoon to have dinner with us as well?"

yuna nodded, "sure. i'll text them right now" her mother nodded before standing up from the couch and walking out of the living room.

yuna reached for her phone that was on the coffee table and grabbed it, texting the groupchat

"thank you for the food mom" sunghoon smiled as he, jake, and yuna sat down at the table where her mother was putting out food for the three.

yuna's mother and father treated jake and sunghoon as her sons basically and both of the boys' parents treated yuna as their daughter despite sunghoon already having a sister who wasn't yuna obviously.

"of course. whenever you guys want food, you can come here" her mother replied, with a smile on her face as she put a few more utensils on the table

"you don't have to tell me twice" sunghoon grabbed the chopsticks, ready to eat but jake smacked his head instead, "yah!" he looked at the boy

"don't be rude" jake scoffed lightly before looking at her mother, "you always have good food mom" jake complimented the mother who was washing dishes in the kitchen

"thank you jake, you always have the nicest things to say"

jake smiled as he and sunghoon then began eating along with yuna as well

"so how's school going for you three?" her mother asked, still continuing to wash dishes but listening to them

"it's going good" sunghoon responded after swallowing the rice, "except for that one teacher that does not like me" he muttered and jake chuckled

"that's great sunghoon" her mother replied, "and you jake?"

"same as always. busy with meetings and sports" he spoke, sipping his water

"you guys put so much pressure on yourself" yuna's mother finished washing the dishes and dried off her hands before walking over to them and sat across from the three friends, "yuna thinks that just because she doesn't have A's that i'm not proud of her which is completely false"

the three looked at the girl who had her mouth full of tofu stew. she looked at them, the corners of her mouth going up in an awkward smile, the food still in her mouth

the three laughed as yuna swallowed her food, coughing afterwards and quickly drinking her water

"you don't need A's yuna, see" jake told her, "even your mother said so"

"yes i do!" she complained as she finished drinking her water, "just one A! that's all i want!"

her mother shook her head and chuckled before looking over at sunghoon, "how is ice skating going? along with yeji?"

"it's going great. i had a competition a few days ago and i won of course" sunghoon was cocky making jake and yuna roll their eyes but the two knew he had the right to be confident and cocky since he was always 1st place, "yeji is the same as always but she recently got into dance classes so she a little more busy now. i think she should be coming back from the states with my dad in a few months"

"that's good to hear" her mother responded, nodding her head, "tell yeji to come visit us or bring her with you once she returns. i miss that little girl who isn't so little anymore" sunghoon nodded and chuckled, "all right then, i'll let you guys eat" her mother smiled, excusing herself as she stood up from her seat and walked away into a separate room, leaving the three in the living room

"so.." sunghoon began, "when the heck are we going to start the tutoring jake?" sunghoon asked

"next week?" he asked and they nodded, agreeing with him, "i usually don't have meetings those days and my tutoring ends at 4 so after that at like 5?"

"sounds good to me" yuna spoke and sunghoon followed with her.

the three continued to eat until they finished their food. yuna was the first to stand up and go into the kitchen so she can put her dishes away.

then the two boys finished afterwards and went to the kitchen as well.

while yuna was drying the dishes, jake and sunghoon were washing them

"hey, do you guys want to see a movie next saturday? the new one that came out recently?" jake asked but sunghoon and yuna were silent as yuna stopped drying the dish in her hand, "guys?" he looked up and at the two

"uhm.." she rubbed the back of her neck, "we kinda already saw it" yuna dragged her sentence, feeling guilty

"oh really?" jake sadly chuckled and looked back down at the dishes he was washing, "when?"

"we asked to hang out but you said you were busy so we went out to see the movie instead" sunghoon responded, feeling guilty as well, "b-but! we can see the movie again! it wasn't a bad movie"

"no it's okay" jake shook his head, denying the offer

yuna and sunghoon felt extremely guilty. yuna put down her rag and dish before limping slightly over to the two and stood in between them. she then wrapped her arms around their necks, "then let's do something else on saturday..hmm..any ideas?"

the three began thinking on what to do that day, "boba?" yuna suggested

"we do that everyday" sunghoon smacked the back of her head forward

she rolled her eyes, "you got any better ideas?"

"picnic?" jake suggested, "we haven't had one in awhile"

yuna nodded, "sounds fun!" sunghoon also nodded with a smile on his face

"wait but let's do sunday. i have practice that day" sunghoon spoke and the two agreed

the three were finally going to hang out and have a great time together and the three friends were happy about it
