"here you go" jake spoke as he held out a water bottle for yuna.
the three were currently in the cafeteria eating lunch when yuna asked for a water bottle so jake offered to go get her one
"thank you" yuna took the bottle as jake sat across from yuna and sunghoon
"and you didn't get me one?" sunghoon asked pretending to be offended with a hand on his chest
"you literally bring your own water bottle sunghoon" jake replied and yuna just laughed at the boy
"oh yah you're right.." sunghoon nervously smiled before shaking his head and looking at jake, "anyways...how was your date?"
"you have a girlfriend?" yuna asked in shocked, "you guys did not tell me this"
"is someone je-" yuna immediately grabbed her spoon, grabbing a spoonful of rice from her bowl and shoving it into sunghoon's mouth before he could finish his sentence
"stop talking" yuna whispered into his ear and the boy slowly nodded as she took out the spoon and he began chewing on the rice
"anyways" jake chuckled seeing the two, "no, i don't have a girlfriend. sunghoon set me up with a girl and i didn't wanna be mean and say no..so i went on a date with her"
"oh really?" yuna glared at sunghoon and he felt her stare. he laughed awkwardly before looking away, rubbing his neck. yuna looked back at jake, "did you like her?"
"she was nice but i'm just not looking for a relationship right now. i need to start applying for colleges, i have student council, soccer practice, violin rehearsals, and also afterschool tutoring...i just don't have time for a relationship"
sunghoon looked over at yuna, expecting a reaction from her but she kept the same smile that she had all the time on her face

"you're always so busy. you never really hang out with us anymore" yuna joked around slightly but the two boys knew it was true since jake often did either cancel plans or not show up because he was busy
"i try to make time for you guys as best as i can" jake softly spoke, feeling bad "i know it's been awhile since we've hung out outside of school but-"
"hey jake" a girl came over to their lunch table causing him to cut off his sentence and look over at the girl who came; it was another member of the student council
"rat.." sunghoon muttered and yuna lightly hit his arm and told him to be nice. he muttered incoherent words and continued to eat his food
"what's up?" jake smiled, being nice to her
"we have to go help moon remember?" she spoke, "we signed up to help him during lunch"
jake let out an 'oh', "i totally forgot!" he looked over at his friends, an apologetic smile on his face, "i'm really sorry i-"
"it's okay. you can go" yuna smiled, "we'll be waiting for you afterschool"
"uh..i can't do afterschool today" jake spoke again with the same apologetic smile, "i'm really sorry! i tried to get out of tutoring but-"
"dude" sunghoon cut him off, a chuckle following afterwards, "don't worry about it. you're busy because of school so we won't get mad at you for being so involved in school. now go before you get in trouble"
"thanks guys" he grinned before grabbing his tray of food and standing up, looking at the girl, "let's go"
the two began walking and as jake passed yuna, he ruffled her hair with a small grin on his face still before walking away with the girl

sunghoon watched as yuna fixed her hair with one hand before she dug her chopsticks into her rice. she then looked at sunghoon, "then..library afterschool?"
"are you upset?" he asked her, noticing that she was upset
"yah i guess but.." she sighed before putting on another grin, "jake's a good kid. he cares about everyone and everything so i can't be mad at him for caring about school and other people"
sunghoon smiled, patting her back, "you're too nice for your own good. it hurts my heart how nice you are"
yuna laughed, "so" she looked at him with a serious face and sunghoon gulped knowing he was about to get scolded at, "you set him up on a date?"
"y-you see..uhh. actually i have to go.." he quickly threw his chopsticks on her tray, grabbing his tray and standing up basically running away from the table since he was honestly scared of the girl. yuna just shook her head realizing that both of the boys just left her
"get back here park sunghoon!"

Series – Dice rolls, quests, and intriguing characters are only the tip of the spear. The Adventurer series includes playable game mechanics, maps, and more! Thrust into a world governed by tabletop RPG rules, Cire must survive an onslaught of wondrous and horrific challenges. His peculiar race, charismatic personality, and talent for turning negative situations sideways might just be the tools he needs to achieve his goals, or they may lead to his ruin. Adventurer Book II - Dawn of an Empire Short story prequel- The Lurking Lair: An Adventuer Series Short Story Summary for the LitRPG savvy reader: Looking for a LitRPG that is more tabletop traditional role playing game and less MMORPG? This is probably your cup of tea. Long term progression with a heavy slice of life element. Strong mix and inclusion of ancient Greek life, values, and myths. Hence, the world can be a bit more harsh and brutish than modern sensibilities. The system is tangible and knowable beyond the MC's insights. The MC is more of an everyman than someone specifically chosen for the experience. Author's Note: This is my debut novel. Up until this point, the only thing I have written of comparable length has been non-fiction and related to history. I am immensely grateful to all the folks who have given me feedback and helped me improve my writing.

Triquetra: A Multi-Class Isekai or How I Learned to Stop Worrying and Accept the End of the Multiverse
Triquetra: An Multi-Class Isekei Adventure I know, I know, you have heard it all before. Yes I was hit by a truck. Yes I ended up in a Fantastical World suspiciously similar to one of my favorite RPG’s. Yes I had access to cheats no one else possessed. Yes it was a world of classes and levels and magic powers. Finally, yes I was an overweight middle-aged loser failing to live up to my potential. Given my eclectic reading habits I should have been better prepared. Unfortunately I was not. Sure I could multi-class with reduced penalties, but my starting class was Scholar! No combat abilities and very limited spellcasting. My HUD interface costs mana to use, and my universal translation seemed to be outsourced to Giggle Translate. I’m supposed to be an OP MC! Not a slice-o- life struggling to survive in the wilderness. Not to mention the Arch-Magus who summoned me, mistimed everything, I arrived 300 years too late, after the fall of the Empire I was supposed to save. The surviving remnants have devolved into Murder Hobos. What’s worse is that the Great Devourer, Ancient Calamity, and Spawn from the Void Beyond Time, Space, and Sanity is now aware of a new world to plunder, a world called Dirt! (Told you this translator sucks) Warning Extra Crunchy Authorial Vebosity! Lots of infodump in the early chapters, but I learn my lesson and it does get better, eventually. I do not own the Cover image, found it on a free image site.

Dark Matter
In the year 2023, scientists investigating the nature of dark matter caused a blackout throughout the entire world of Coranth. With this blackout came the appearance of supernatural and near-magical elemental abilities able to be wielded by all. By harnessing the dark matter in the environment, even ordinary humans now accessed powers that would have been deemed fantasy. These abilities include Wind, Fire, Lightning, Water, and Terra, being the five natural elements of which dark matter is absorbed by the planet itself. Additionally, the two moons orbiting Coranth offer the "Superior" elements of Dark and Light. The year is now 2041, and Dark Matter will follow the story of an adolescent boy named Raiden Sullivan in a dystopian future, 16 years old, eldest of 2, and son to Marcus Sullivan. Raiden is an intelligent young man belonging to a poor family with an absentee mother. He partakes in daily chores to cover living expenses after school and his home life is surrounded by his caring father and younger sister. In truth, this is my take on urban fantasy with slight LitRPG that keeps the "magic" elements somewhat scientific for a more realistic story. In using the dark matter surrounding our universe, humans can now harness elemental abilities as well as absorb dark matter from the beasts/monsters to further strengthen their abilities. For the most part, that'll be the main premise of the power system. Full transparency, this will be the first story I write and also the first story I publish, so please be patient with me. For some context, I'm an avid reader and after 4 or so years of only consuming, I feel that it might be time to try my hand at writing instead. Please feel free to add your opinions and criticism, it would be much appreciated. With that said, I hope you enjoy Dark Matter!
