Chapter 4, Another Day, Another Slay
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
You are stuck with me, face the facts.
Beep...
Beep...
BEEP...
"Oh Jesus Christ shut the hell up already!"
I groaned as I grabbed my phone off of the night stand and turned off my alarm, today was the first day of school and I didn't even prepare myself for it.
Well, there's not much for me to prepare anyways, I'm seeing people I despise and people that I love, all I have to prepare for is anything that is thrown my way at the moment.
As I sat up from the bed, I rubbed my eyes so I can readjust having them open before I got up from my bed and turned on my LEDs, I made my bed and walked to the closet to grab my outfit and set it out on my bed so I didn't have to do it when I came out of the bathroom.
I never hated the first day of school, it was always the rush of excitement that always woke me up in the morning all jittery, but then it dies down after the first month because everyone there acts all Boujee and weird.
Can't stand people who act conceited, you're nothing but a high schooler whose probably going to end up drunk on a sidewalk bench, begging for change and screaming at random things like the graffiti on the store doors.
I walked to the bathroom and turned on the lights before using the toilet, I don't know who brushes their teeth before peeing but if you do that then you're a psycho.
Once my bladder was all empty, I washed my hands before brushing me teeth, making sure my teeth were all washed and my tongue wasn't white, I used mouth wash and then began to do my skincare routine.
Loving yourself is the best thing anyone can do, it makes you more confident and more attractive, I needed to start loving myself if I wanted to see changes in my lifestyle, sometimes change can be a good thing.
When I finished doing everything I needed to do in the bathroom, I walked out and yawned before going back into my room, I stretched for a bit which made me look like I was having an exorcism done on me, when that was done, I walked to my vanity and grabbed all my essentials that would make me look and smell good.
I stripped from my pajamas and stood in my underclothes as I applied deodorant and perfume on my half bare body, the perfume made me shiver and almost shriek with how cold it was but nonethess it was on.
I put on my outfit and spritzed on some more perfume before walking to my vanity and grabbing my hair supplies, I walked out of my room and back into the bathroom just so that I can do my hair.
Curly hair is all fun and games until you actually have to style it so that you can look decent whenever you go out, only the strong ones survive.
Once I looked fresh and pretty, I grabbed my phone and portable charger, shoving them both in my bookbag before grabbing my lunch box, yes I still use a lunch box because I'm a picky eater and don't want to try anything new food wise.
I walked downstairs slowly and quietly, going into the kitchen to make myself some breakfast and make my lunch, I wasn't hungry enough to actually put something in my stomach but I didn't want to be starving the whole day until lunch.
I made myself some grilled cheese with added tomatoes with the side of strawberries and to drink I got myself some orange juice, it doesn't taste bad all the time, I just have to crave it before shoving it down my throat.
When I finished eating my breakfast, everything goes into the sink before walking to the lunch and packing myself some lunch, I didn't know what I wanted so i just grabbed some left over chicken Alfredo and reheated it before putting it in my container.
I added some snacks and chips before grabbing my chocolate milk carton and apple juice box and shoving them in my lunch box, I zipped everything up and grabbed my bookbag, slinging it over my shoulder and walking to the front door.
Our keys were hanging near the door way, so I grabbed mine and walked out of the house, closing the door gently so that I wouldn't wake anyone up and have to deal with the screaming when I got back home.
Kiana and I were meeting at the deli across from the school because she didn't want to make anything from home and her corner store always messed up her orders, so I made sure that, that is where I was headed before going to school.
Dana was most likely going to be late to school, she dislikes everything about school with her full soul which is why she never bothered being on time or participating in classes.
She's only there for the grades and the grades only, paying no mind to the boys or the girls that came her way, she had a strict, pass the class rulr and if someone was going to hold her back, she would rather it be herself than someone else.
I finally got to the corner store and found my best friend standing by the door waiting for me, her face lit up as she noticed me walking her way.
"You look amazing."
Kiana signed with an awe look, I giggled slightly not knowing what else to do but pull her into a hug and returning the compliment, we got into the store and wandered around getting the snacks and drinks we wanted.
I just got myself a sprite and a brownie because I wanted to have something sweet and a back up drink option in case I don't like how my juice or milk tastes with my lunch, Kiana was paying for her things and I realized she didn't notice me leave her side.
So with my brilliant thinking, I walked up behind her and grabbed her shoulders, she let out a giant gasp as she turned around getting ready to scold whoever just did that.
When her eyes met mine, she pinched my arm and glared at me before going off on how I can't do that to her.
"What if I had a pocket knife in my pocket? I could have stabbed you, you idiot!"
Kiana signed angrily as she grabbed her bag and left the store with me walking behind her, there was no need for me to hold in my laughter because her face was something else.
You are stuck with me, face the facts.
I signed back to her as she finished ranting about me, Kiana only sighed defeatedly before nodding her head and grabbing my free hand.
Kiana couldn't get rid of me even if she tried, I'm too pretty and too comfortable around her for her to even think about leaving me.
Principals of having a best friend since birth, we talk it out instead of walking out.
