No, stories written in any year are eligible to participate.

To be eligible, the story must have a minimum of 10000 words (for poetry submissions, the minimum word count required is 500). Please note that the word count does not include author's note and similar stuff.

The story can have any number of parts.

Yes, only completed stories are eligible to enter the Wattpad India Awards 2020.

Note - poetry submissions are not needed to be complete.

Yes, you can enter as many stories as you like in any of the mentioned categories - as long as they fulfill the eligibility criteria.

Note - You cannot enter the same story in multiple categories.

Yes, you can enter the Wattpad India Awards 2020 even if you have won any of the above mentioned contests. However, you cannot enter the same story which won in those contests.

Group or collaborative stories are eligible for the Wattpad India Awards 2020. However, the award itself will only be presented to the account the story was originally published on.

Yes. Should the story win, you will be rewarded in whichever language you submit your story during the submission process.

No. Your story must be your own.

In case of a winning story that is available on other storytelling platforms, Wattpad reserves the right to ask that the story be made elusive to our platform.

This year, submissions will be accepted in 9 categories - Romance, Poetry, Fantasy and Adventure, Science Fiction, Horror and Paranormal, Mystery and Thriller, Young and New Adult, Fanfiction, and Regional Language.

In the submission form, you will be asked to specify which category you'd like to be considered for. To know more about each category, kindly check out the chapter titled 'Award Categories'

In such cases, you are free to choose the category that your story best fits in.

Note - your story will be judged according to the category it is submitted in.

While Wattpad India Awards are committed to celebrating the best in storytelling around India, we're also committed to creating the best awards experience possible. Which means, we aren't yet able to review submissions in every Indian language. We are hard at work to expand our reach for future editions of Wattpad India Awards. With that in mind, we're currently accepting submissions in English, Hindi, Tamil, and Malayalam languages.

Yes. Participating in Wattpad India Awards 2020 doesn't preclude you from entering other Wattpad contests and activities.
