Raghuveer had his hands behind his back as he stood watching his servant Dhruvan, who was trying his best to carefully remove a Krishna Tulasi from the wild ground. It was almost difficult to find this type of Tulasi in their kingdom but miraculously he has found one in his garden.

He was never upset when queen Anasuya had given him this piece of land for his twentieth birthday, instead, he was happy. He always had an immense interest in medicinal plants and herbs but unfortunately, he turned to be a prince, a bastard prince.

A royal member can never have a choice of their own, only the welfare of their people through politics should matter for them.

However, he has got his house built here in this barren land. This gives him a choice to stay away from the palace, stupid villagers and most importantly, he can peacefully research on these herbs.

"Dhruvan, try to extract oil from these leaves and-" Raghuveer's voice to an abrupt halt as he saw a stranger woman waking up from behind the bushes. Her lehenga was torn and her choli was too immodest with no dupatta.

She slowly woke up stretching her arms like a cat and when Dhruvan noticed her blood-stained hand and dress he gave out an ear-splitting scream, "Chudail!" His screams were so loud that his voice echoed throughout the forest startling that woman.

She squinted her large eyes, placing her dainty hand near her face covering her eyes from the midday sun.

For a moment Raghuveer felt lost looking at her, she was nothing near to beautiful as all she looked was skinny and weak but her beautiful dark eyes had a world in them. Her sharp features slowly turned into a frown and he snapped out the trance.

"Who are you?" Raghuveer's voice came out loud and stiff, making her visibly tense. She squinted her eyes in confusion and fright looking around as if she was scared.

Her expression looked so intense that he wanted to help her but he shouldn't be bothered, what if she is a spy in the name of a maid from queen Anasuya?

Riya felt weak but more than that, this scenario was confusing her, how the hell did she wake up so hale and healthy after falling down a mountain, is this afterlife or what?

She slightly pinched her arm and felt a sharp sting, okay, so it looks like she is alive.

"State your purpose, woman!" The tall man who was standing in front of her almost shouted and she flinched in reflex. He was extremely tall, easily over six feet with broad shoulders and his face has authority and fury, it seems like she is trespassing his private property but should this handsome man be so rude?

"I-i apologise but yesterday night, I slipped off that cliff." Saying she turned around and pointed towards an edge which seemed small from where she was standing.

Listening to that pathetic excuse Raghuveers eyes turned red, how dare she lies to him? Of course, how will she know that he was standing right there last night? Angrily marched towards her and pulled her out of those bushes gripping her hand tight and she shrieked in pain.

"How dare you lie to me!" He shouted as he pulled her in front him looking straight in her eyes and Riya shivered in fear seeing his expression if only looks can make fire she would be burnt to ashes by now.

"I-i am sorry for invading your property but please believe me! I was attacked last night and while running away I fell down."

"Oh really? Then tell me, who was the one chasing you?" Raghuveer challenged her because by now he understood who she was. She is queen Anasuya's maid. A captivatingly beautiful spy.

"Tha-that-" Riya's head spun as she tried to remember what happened last night however to no avail as her memories were a little hazy. She can swear on her life that she was chased, but what exactly happened last night?

Knife. Blood. Running and falling off a cliff but why was she even running in the first place?

Oh no, no, she can't lose memories. She closed her eyes trying to focus on how she ended up here but the more she stressed the more her head hurt.

Raghuveer was amused looking at that maid, wah! What an amazing actor! Queen Anasuya has perfectly trained her.

Before he could open his mouth and bash her left and right with his words, her eyes rolled over and she collapsed flat on him fainting. Oh lord no.

"Dhruvan! Get a physician immediately." Shouting, he swiftly lifted her in his arms clutching her tight.

As much as he could say that she was lying he could also see how weak she is.

"B-but Rajkumar Ji, why don't we just throw her outside? We can peacefully continue with our work-"

"No Dhruvan," Raghuveer started walking towards his house with this woman in his hands. She weighed less than a feather, how malnourished can she be? "This looks like queen Anasuya's another attempt to track our moves through this girl and I will not let this go easily."

He quickly dropped the girl on the bed and due to that disturbance, she shifted slightly moaning in pain, still unconscious.

Raghuveer groaned in frustration as he walked to his wooden almirah taking out a few medicinal herbs. He is a perfect prince with no flaws but no one but himself knows that his weakness lies in sick people. He can never see anyone suffer in pain in front of his eyes.

He quickly walked to the kitchen and bought a wet rag and settled on bed beside her, he carefully took her bleeding hand in his and examined it.

Her hand was dainty and boney making him wonder about what kind of family she might have come from. Don't they feed her anything?

Raghuveer slowly wiped her blood-stained palm and applied a dark green herbal paste which is used to prevent the loss of blood.

She lay unconscious all the while he was treating her, Raghuveer bent forward wrapping a small turmeric cloth around her wound and she turned to his side, almost sticking herself to him.

Was she doing this on purpose? He looked at her from the corner of his eyes only to find her sleeping peacefully like a baby. She has bright skin with sharp features, a pointed nose and high cheekbones which were slightly pink, her lips were almost hibiscus red which made him wonder how can anyone have such red lips?

Out of curiosity he bent over carefully making sure to not fall over her, he slowly touched her lips and he was shocked to see that it was some colour, the paint was smooth, no the smoothness should be her soft plum lips.

A knock on the door interrupted his improper touch and staring at the young lady, what is wrong with him?

"Rajkumar Ji, Physician Vishwanath Ji is here," Dhruvan informed in a low voice and Raghuveer got up quickly and pulled out one of his cotton kurta from his almirah and walked back to the unconscious woman.

He slowly lifted her up trying to pull it over her as her choli was too deep and skin showing. Though she might be an enemy he can never risk a woman's safety.

After a small conversation, the physician walked inside to treat her. Vishwanath took his own time but soon he walked out with his herbal bag in hand.

"Yuvraj Ji, how did she faint?" He asked, still casting a look inside the chamber, at her.

"She was claiming that she fell off the cliff in my garden and while I was interrogating her she fainted." His words came out careless but Vishwanath nodded his head raising his eyebrows up as if it made sense.

"Right, right. What she is stating might be true, Yuvraj Ji. Her body is severely strained, her legs look swollen and there is a small wound behind her head, she must have got it when she rolled down the mountain."

Raghuveer frowned deeply listening to that, if she is not a spy then how did she end up here? His part of the forest is heavily guarded by soldiers.

"So, are you saying that what she might be saying is true?"

"Yes, the wound on her head looks deep so she could have slight headaches and her memories might be cloudy. But there is nothing to worry about, a peaceful rest of three days can heal her body and strained brain." Vishwanath babeld. He was excited to find a woman in prince Raghuveer's chambers.

Vishwanath has seen a little young Prince Raghuveer grow up to be a handsome man, a perfect prince. The prince grew up in a chaotic environment but it always worried him that he maintained his distance with women.

Several beauties of the kingdom tried and failed to tempt him. Alas, maybe his father's disgusting marital and sex life have affected him.

However, now looking at the young lady he can breathe some air in relief, the woman inside his chambers is beautiful beyond words and looking at the amount of attention he was paying her might lead him to like her.

Vishwanath excused himself and left Prince Raghuveer's house. The evening fell and night came up and Raghuveer settled on the roof of his house with a book in his hands.

Before he could even turn a page of the book Dhruvan came up running and panting heavily.

"Rajkumar Ji! Rani Anasuya is here with her maids! And she is marching straight to your chambers!!" He screamed in fear, not only Dhruvan but everyone including infants in kingdom Sagara knew how scary of a queen they have.

"So what? We have never invited-"

"But Rajkumar! You have a woman in your chambers!!" Dhruvan cried out in fear as his legs shook and Raghuveer stood up at once, jumping on the clay tiled roof, sliding down so that he could reach his room before the queen.

If that woman does not work for queen Anasuya and gets caught in his chambers, that woman's life would be done. For he knows how cruel and heartless the queen of Sagara is.
