•Y/N: Your Name

•E/C: Eye Color

My sneakers give off light taps when I walk on the pavement in hopes of getting to the bus stop quickly and without incident. The sky above me is dark with grey clouds blocking the sun's light, and the scent of rain stains in the air. If I don't find the bus stop soon, I'll get rained on. My nerves have not settled in the slightest, for the streets are empty, and I still see no sight of the monster that haunts my dreams. My eyes keep darting around to search for the creature, since I'd rather he not surprise me now that I'm completely alone. I had been so concentrated on finding him, that I found myself lost, which made me panic. I groan anxiously and bite my lower lip as I lightly rub my arms to warm them. It's a little chilly out today, so wearing shorts in the autumn weather was a bad idea. I didn't expect to be outside this long today either, though.

'Oh, what am I going to do? I'm lost.' My eyes begin to water, so I wipe them with my sleeve as I pass by an alleyway.

"My, are you lost, little one?" Asks a smooth, deep voice that makes me freeze mid-step. My body refused to move upon hearing the male speak. It took me a lot of courage to even turn my head to look down the alley to see who had spoken to me. My E/C gaze lands on a tall, lanky figure that stands around six foot three (190.5cm), possibly even taller. He stood quite a ways away from me, so it's a little hard to tell.

The shadows of the alley hide some of his features, but I can make out his silver orbs. My heart thumps loudly in my chest as the man steps closer to me with slow, almost cautious, movements, but I'm still frozen in place. Now, I can see that the male has medium-length, black hair that's gelled back some, while the ends of the raven locks are left wavy. His thin frame is dressed in a dark grey, button up shirt with black slacks and dress shoes. He has pale peach skin and dark circles beneath his eyes that make the silver orbs stand out better. On his smooth lips rests a light smile as a calming gesture that oddly made me feel uncomfortable and unsafe in his presence. Shakily, I stumble back to get away from the stranger. I don't know what his intentions are.

"I...I was j-just l-looking for the b-bus stop," I state in a meek voice without ever taking my eyes off his. A light chuckle escapes his lips, sending a cold chill down my spine. I gulp nervously, getting ready to bolt. I'm taken off guard when he reaches a hand towards me, which sends me into a panic. Instinctively, I scream and crouch down with my arms covering my head. I breathe heavily, my body trembling when I think he will attack, but nothing happened. Slowly, I open my eyes and peer up at the male. On his face is a blank expression until his gaze meet mine. His smile soon returns as he crouches down himself with his thin fingers still outstretched to me to offer his hand.

"I can take you there. I know the way. There's no need to hide." His smile widens slightly into an amused smirk, while confusion fills me. I could've sworn he was about to hurt me. His actions don't match his aura at all. Every bone in my body tells me to run away, but I was left stunned. "I mean you no harm, little one."

I gulp down my nerves and slowly lower my arms before shakily extending my hand towards his. When my hand lands on the palm of his soft hand, his thin fingers lightly wrap around it. The man then helps me stand with gentle movements before linking our arms. I'm sure he can feel my trembling as I cling to the limb with both hands. Thankfully, he doesn't seem bothered as we begin to walk. However, he makes no attempt to comfort me either. While he takes me to the bus station, I take to looking around for the creature again. His disappearance put me on edge, causing me to cling to the male at my side tighter. Our tense silence is broken by the man's voice, tearing me away from my search.

"What's your name, little one?" He asks in a soft voice that puts goosebumps on my skin...or perhaps that's just the cold? I try to calm myself, for It appears he's trying to get me to relax.

"Y-Y/N," I manage to stutter out with great difficulty. I still am not very fond of speaking to this stranger. If I wasn't lost, I wouldn't be following him in the first place. He lets out another small chuckle, which still doesn't sit well with me. "W-what's yours?"

"Pilvrich."

My brows scrunch together, for I found that to be a...peculiar name. I look up at him with a brow raised.

"Pilvrich?"

He nods his head, his smile widening some.

"That's a really strange name," I mutter to myself while looking away from the male. Honestly, I didn't expect him to hear what I said. He laughs lightly as though he found what I said funny. Had I not been so nervous around the stranger, I might've blushed due to embarrassment.

"Yes, I suppose it is."

A bit of relief washes over me knowing I didn't offend the man. The walk stays in a semi-comfortable silence. I was probably the only one feeling on edge, though, due to my paranoia. I'm not sure if it's the normal amount or what, but something just doesn't feel right. I sigh softly.

'I really wish my brain wasn't so scrambled. He's just trying to help me. If he did want to hurt me, wouldn't he have done it by now?'

"Here we are," he says, snapping me out of my thoughts when we reach the bus stop. His arm slips out of my grasp and, oddly enough, I miss the comfort it provided. The smirk on his lips continues to unnerve me, but his actions puzzle me. Is it because strangers haven't really acted so kindly towards me? Is it from my lack of socializing? Who knows? I feel bad for misinterpreting the situation, nonetheless. Pilvrich really had only wanted to help me.

"The bus should be here soon. I should get going as well."

"Um..." I bite the inside of my cheek. I want to send some parting words, but my mind drew a blank.

'Just thank him.' Gulping, I gain the courage to do so.

"Th-thank you f-for walking me here."

"It was no trouble, little one." He bows his head some before walking past me. I turn and watch his retreating form. "Perhaps we'll meet again someday." He lifts his right hand and waves it without looking back at me.

"B-bye," I mutter, though, I doubt he heard it. I hate that I'm so quiet. I look beside me at the metal bench and have a seat to wait patiently for the bus to drive by. Pilvrich seems to have left quite the impression on me, for I didn't even think to look for the creature after he disappeared. Honestly, I'm thankful for that.

It has been a long time since I had my thoughts elsewhere. I just wish I could figure out why my interaction with the man felt weird. I'm pulled out of my thoughts when the bus pulls up and stand when the doors open to welcome me inside. I gulp. This isn't my first time in a bus, but it is the first time I've been in one alone. Right now, though, my anxiety doesn't feel as high as it did earlier today. I step inside and pay the fare before taking a seat away from the other passengers.

'Maybe meeting Pilvrich was a good thing?' I look down at my hands and immediately take notice that they're steady.

'I'm not even shaking anymore.' I set my hands on my lap and look out the window for the duration of the ride, being sure to pay attention so that I don't miss my stop. Thoughts of the mysterious stranger plagues my mind, though, I don't mind. I was mainly just trying to figure him out. Soon enough, I reach my stop and have to get off the large vehicle.

I reach the front door and unlock the door before pushing it open. The house is silent, and all the lights are off. A familiar sense of dread fills me as I stare inside rather than going in straight away. I nearly jump out of my skin upon hearing the sound of thunder and rush inside before slamming the door shut behind me. My heart pounds loudly as I lean my back against the wooden surface and stand there until it calms. I take off my shoes before walking further into the house and hesitantly peer up the stairs.

'He's up there; I just know it.' I whimper softly. He's probably waiting for me up there. I go to the living room, not taking my eyes off the upstairs until it's out of my sight and have a seat on the dark brown couch with my hands holding each other tightly. The living room is one of the bigger rooms in the house with dark, wood floors that have a large white rug in the very center of it.

Across from me are two recliners that are the same color as the couch and between them is a long, wooden, coffee table. Mounted on the sky blue walls is a flat screen T.V. that has two wooden shelves positioned on both sides of it. On the shelves are little nicknacks, books, and movies. On both ends of the couch are end tables that have a simple lamps set on them. I jump again upon hearing the loud roar of thunder with the sound of dripping rain following soon after. Shakily, I reach over to the nearest lamp and turn it on to fill the dark room with light. I bring my knees up and gently rock side to side in attempts to comfort myself from the sounds outside and knowledge of the monster upstairs. I hate storms. They remind me of the night that damn thing came into my life and screwed everything up.

'Maybe I should sleep on the couch tonight? I really don't want to go into my room.' Sadly, this won't do much to stop the monster. It won't matter where I sleep, he'll always come for me.

He always does.

My stomach rumbles to show I'm hungry. I had skipped breakfast, since we left in a hurry to see Mrs. Williams. I kind of regret that now. My eyes glance over to the doorway that leads into the kitchen. I don't go in there anymore because of one of the dreadful dreams I've had. My hand was shoved into a blender by these clawed hands that held my wrist so tight, I thought it'd pop off before it was blended. That wasn't all, though. After I managed to pry my mutilated hand out of the machine, forks flew across the room and stabbed into my eyes before the hands from before pinned me to the floor and forced me to drink my liquified hand. My screams still echo in my head and the blood...

Dear god, the taste of blood can still be tasted in my lips.

I gag and lurch forward while slapping a hand over my mouth. I force myself to stand and race to the downstairs bathroom, stumbling over my feet on the way there as vomit climbs up my throat. I lift the toilet seat while falling onto my knees before emptying my stomach into the bowl. The substance burns the inside of my throat and leaves a foul taste in my mouth like...like the flesh I had been forced to drink in that nightmare. More bile fills my mouth, which I spit out into the toilet. After I'm done, my trembling returns as I shakily stand and flush the toilet. I hold my head as dizziness consumes me. I lean against the sink to stabilize myself and look at my horrid reflection in the mirror as tears gather in my eyes.

I cry heavily, for I know these terrors will never end.
