《Welcome To The Family》The First Night

Gabe's father stood up straight. I looked past his legs to see Finn passing out on the kitchen floor. He was lying in a pool of blood.
"You can bring her upstairs," Gabe's father said. "Jenny, go get the needles."
The needles?
They were going to torture me.
My heart was pounding and I shook my head. I scurried back across the floor until I ran into something hard. I looked up to see that it was Gabe. He smirked as he bent down and grabbed my arms. He pulled me up onto my feet and wrapped his arms around my waist.
"Are you going to be a good girl and go upstairs?" Gabe asked.
"Get off me!" I yelled.
Gabe did not struggle to keep me in his tight grip as I fought to get free. He chuckled and pushed me forward.
"No!" I screamed.
I dug my heels into the floor to try and stop him. My feet slipped and he pushed me farther forward. I screamed and clawed at his arms. Blood bubbled up the surface of his skin. He sighed and spun me around.
He leaned down and threw me over his shoulder. I kicked my legs and pounded my fists into his back as he walked forward. He carried me past Finn. His eyes were closed and he was breathing was shallow. I cried out his name and reached toward him. Gabe climbed the stairs and Jenny rushed up past him.
He carried me down the hallway. He kicked a door open with his foot. I looked up to see that it was a bedroom. He dropped me onto a bed. I bolted up, but Gabe grabbed my wrists and pinned them down onto the bed. I shook and contorted my body to try to free myself.
Jenny walked into the bedroom. She had a syringe in her hands and was flicking out the bubbles. I screamed as I kicked my legs out harder.
"Calm down," Gabe said.
"Fuck off!" I screamed. "Get off me!"
"Honey, do you think you can hold her leg for me?" Jenny asked Gabe.
He grabbed both of my wrists with one hand. He rolled me onto my side and grabbed my knee. He pushed it into the mattress. My thigh was exposed because of the shorts I was wearing. Jenny's hands shook as she grabbed my leg. She pierced my skin with the needle and injected a mysterious substance into my body.

A hand grabbed Jenny's shoulder and pulled her back. Gabe's father was standing there grinning.
"Let go of her, Gabe," he said. "I want to talk to Lindsay. Help your brothers in the kitchen."
Gabe nodded as he let go of me. He took one last look at me before leaving the room.
I sat up and my head was spinning. I held onto my temple as I swung my legs off of the bed. My muscles were heavy and I felt like I was stuck to the bed. I held onto the bed with one hand and pushed myself up onto my feet. My knees wobbled. I was almost standing when Gabe's father pushed me back down onto the bed. He grabbed my ankles and brought them back on the bed.
"You need to rest," he said. "We don't want you hurting yourself."
I opened my mouth to speak, but only a small noise came out. I gathered all the strength I could to roll onto my side. I could not move, so I curled up on my side to try and protect myself. I squeezed my eyes shut and the last few tears escaped my eyes. Gabe's father put his hand on my shoulder.
"I never got to introduce myself," he said. "My name is Noah."
He dragged his hand down my shoulder and onto my side. He rubbed my side like he was trying to comfort me.
"Now, this is a little different from our usual family tradition," he said. "Typically, on our son's twentieth birthday, the father goes out and finds him a wife. Gabriel seemed to take an interest in you. That's the only reason we didn't kill you along with your friends. We're giving you a family instead."
My chest tightened. This could not be real. This had to be some kind of nightmare that I would wake up from in a few minutes. I did not just watch my two friends and the love of my life be massacred.
I let another pathetic sound leave my lips. Noah chuckled and curled his fingers into my side.
"No need to thank us, sweetheart," he said. "We are going to protect you now."
My eyes crashed shut. I could not longer see. The darkness was comforting as I slipped into unconsciousness.

My head was pounding as my eyes fluttered open. My mouth was parched and my throat burned. The air was thick with humidity. I held onto my head and my muscles screamed in pain as I sat up. The thin sheet covering my body slipped down. I took in a sharp breath when I saw that I was naked. I grabbed the sheet and clutched it to my chest.
There was light snoring that filled the dark room. Moonlight, which appeared in strips, was cast onto the floor. I squinted as I leaned to the side to look at the windows. Thick bars were blocking the windows.
My heart was pounding as I took in the figure of a man sleeping beside me. He was on his stomach and facing away from me. For a moment, I thought it was Finn. The figure was much larger and Finn never snored.
The horrific images of last night filled my head. Wyatt's skull was bashed in, Alyssa's throat was slit, and Finn was stabbed in the back. My friends were dead because I told them to go into this farmhouse. Gabe and his family have just destroyed my life.
I rubbed my thumb across my chest. Sweat was running down from my temple.
Why was I naked?
What did Gabe do to me?
I threw my hand over my mouth to stop myself from screaming. Gabe was also naked. I did not want to think that he had assaulted my body, but the worst possible thoughts flooded my mind.
I shifted my weight on the bed. I struggled to get enough strength to get my feet onto the floor. My eyes scanned the floor to try and find my clothes.
The snoring stopped and I could feel the bed dip as Gabe rolled over. I dug my teeth into my bottom lip. His rough calloused hand touched my back.
"Lie back down," he said.
"I need to go home," my shaky voice said.
I listened as he sat up and sighed. He ran his fingers from the base of my spine and up to my neck causing me to shiver.
"You need to lie down," he said.
I shook my head. His hand slipped around my neck and he grabbed my throat. He squeezed, cutting off my air, and pulled me against his hard chest.
"You're going to do as I tell you," he whispered into my ear. "Do you really want to test me?"
He growled as he threw me down onto the bed. He swung his leg over me so that I was trapped under his weight. I closed my eyes and rolled my head to the side. I did not have the strength in my body to try and fight him off.
"Look at me, Lindsay," he said.
I didn't move. Gabe grabbed my face with his hand. He squished my cheeks as he turned my head. I opened up my eyes. The moonlight fell on his face and I could see that he was scowling.
"You need to learn to listen to me," he said.
I opened my mouth to speak, but Gabe covered my lips with his hand.
"I'm going to warn you," he said. "If you disrespect me I am going to have to punish you."
The thought of a punishment terrified me. His family brutally murdered three people. I had no idea what they would do to me.
I nodded my head. Gabe's scowl was replaced with a smile. He lowered his hand and I sucked in a deep breath. He leaned down and kissed my forehead. His lips lingered on my skin. He rolled off of me and onto his side. He snaked his arm around my waist and pulled me against his chest.
"Don't try to get out of the bed," he warned me.
I bit down on my lip. Minutes of silence passed before Gabe began to snore again. I stared at Gabe's alarm clock to see that it was the middle of the night. The red numbers burned my eyes.
I did not want to fall asleep, but I succumbed to the effects of whatever medication they had injected into my thigh earlier.
