"And that is the end of today's lesson on mythology, any questions?" asked a green-haired professor.
One of his students raised their hand in curiosity. "Ah, yes Eri?" Deku smiled.
"W-why did the gods change over the centuries? Like the moon goddess Selene and Elina?" Eri asked.
"Or like Bakugo and Hawks who were the sun gods?" Kota added.
Deku smiled, happy knowing that his students were paying attention." Well, many professors say that it was a culture change over the years, and their gods were simply reimagined. But there is written evidence that these changes were deliberate, for what reason. One can only speculate," Deku smiled as the school bell rang.
"Remember to study the material that we went over today," Deku called out to his students, as they poured out of the classroom.
Izuku chuckled as he started to pack up his things, making sure that he didn't forget anything. As he did one final check, he pulled out a special moon crescent pendant from his jacket pocket.
"Oh, and Mr.Izuku can I ask you something," Eri called from the door suddenly. " Oh, what a pretty necklace, is it yours?"
"O-oh, Eri. Yes, it is, a special friend gave it to me," Izuku smiled as he tucked it away in his pocket. " Know you had a question for me?"
"O-oh right. I was wondering. I read a book that talked about a different moon goddess in the same mythology, but it was written about only 2 thousand years ago. according to the book, I wasn't able to find what happened to the previous goddess, do you know?" Eri asked.
"I-I'm afraid not, but I'll make sure to look into it," Izuku smiled.
Eri stared at her professor, sensing the feeling that he knew more than he was letting on. But teachers wouldn't lie about stuff like that, Eri thought to herself. She happily nodded and quickly left the classroom.
Izuku sighed in relief as he too left the school. Yet instead of heading home, he went somewhere else. He made his way to an old temple deep into the woods, just north of the bright and noisy city. Izuku looked up at the sky to see the cloud banket the night sky.
"I sure hope clears up soon," Izuku sighed as he let the light of the pendant guide him.
The pendant soon led him to a grand temple hidden to humans, except with special permission.

Izuku smiled as he breathed in the clean air of this temple as the moonlight shine down through the glass ceiling.
"Lady Y/n, I wish to seek an audience with you," Izuku smiled, as he held the pendant into the moonlight.
The opal in the pendant glowed brilliantly, as a magical gate opened in front of him. Izuku was no longer in the forest moon temple in a flash of light, but in the great moon palace that guided the great celestial body. No matter how many times he has seen this beautiful flying castle, the stories never did it justice.
"Y/n," Izuku called out. "I'm here for our date night."
"I'm coming," A voice called out.
Izuku turned to see a familiar figure coming down the stairs, with great speed. " So what do you think? Is this inconspicuous enough?" The moon Goddess Y/n asked.
"Y/n you look beautiful," Izuku blushed as Y/n smiled sweetly at him and kissed him on the cheek.
"You're too sweet," Y/n chuckled. " So what do you have planned for us?"
"Well, there is a new restaurant in the city, and I've only heard the best," Izuku suggested.
"I trust you Izuku. It's been a while since I walked in the human city."
_____________
The two inconspicuous couple happily wandered the city, smiling and trying out all sorts of new cafes and seeing many sights.
Izuku thought to himself as he held hands with the lovely goddess.
Y/n smiled at her first love ever, still slightly surprised that her first love is a human.
As they walked out of the park, a delicious smell caught their noses. They quickly followed it to find the restaurant Izuku was talking about.
The two smiled as they were seated and their food was served.
The two shared a soft and passionate kiss, as the light of the full moon shined down on them. They soon retired back to the moon palace and rested in Y/n's private chambers. As Izuku rested his head on the goddess's legs, he remembered the question from today as Y/n stroked his fluffy hair.
"Y/n, one of my students had a question for you," Izuku said as he rolled over to look up at his lover.
"Oh, and what would it be?" Y/n asked curiously.
"She wondered when the previous sun and moon gods changed from Elina and Hawks to You and whoever is the sun know?" Izuku asked.
Y/n frowned slightly as she reminisced the great change. With a sad sigh, she explained.

"Do you know the great tragedy 2,000 years ago? All sorts of horrible natural disasters occurring seemingly all at once, and lasting for many years?" Y/n asked.
"Indeed," Izuku nodded.
"To human's know days, it was just a series of unfortunate events, but it was a battle between the gods and the lords of the underworld. Many gods and goddesses lost their lives. So I a minor goddess of fortunetelling became the new goddess of the moon. While Shoto the once demon prince, aided the heavens, so he was given the sun palace for him and his fallen angel to live in," Y/n explained.
"Wait, Shoto the demon prince, now the god of the sun?" Izuku asked in awe.
" Amazing huh? and he has been doing an amazing job at it too," Y/n smiled.
"You both are, keeping the world in balance and the darkness at bay," Izuku smiled up at Y/n.
As Y/n smiled down at her adorable human lover, she leaned down and gave him a peck on his lips. Izuku's face turned red as he stared up in awe of her, but suddenly the moment was cut short by a sound of a loud bell. The two shot up in shock, as Y/n ran out of her chamber.
She ran to a special room in the castle, her orrery room.
Izuku quickly caught up to the goddess and stared in worry. Y/n began to run about the room and study the Orrery as the orbs and planet shift and change position. Izuku sadly couldn't understand what was happening as Y/n's face became more and more saddened.
"Y/n, what's wrong?" Izuku asked nervesly.
"It's time, yet again," Y/n sighed sadly.
"T-time again?" Izuku asked slowly.
"Another great celestial war, between heavenly order and the demonic chaos of the underworld. Another war between the great god All Might and the being of Choas of All for one," Y/n trembled as the shadows from her hair hide her eyes.
"What?!" Izuku gasped. " What does this... have... Y/n... Your not."
"I'm being summoned to fight, against the forces of evil," Y/n said slowly as she turned to Izuku.
Izuku froze in shock as her words echoed in his ears. His legs just wished to give out at the weight of the situation. Before he could even voice his concerns, Y/n cut him off.
"No there is no avoiding this summons from All might. I am called to fight," Y/n frowned sadly.
"Y/n, please. Please don't go," Izuku begged. " Don't leave me just yet."
Y/n's eyes began to water as she watched Izuku slowly walk over to her and pulled her close as if he didn't she would vanish. "I love you Izuku," She said as she activated the pendant on Izuku's person.
Izuku gasped as he began to fade, as faze through his love. He began to panic as white began to cloud his vision. "Please! PLEASE DON'T GO!" Izuku cried.
When he suddenly woke up in his apartment the next day. He tried many times to return to the moon palace but failed every time. So with a heavy heart, he continued his life, or more like going through the motions of it.
Time seemed to speed by as he went to work, return home, look up at the changing moon till he fell asleep, and repeat. When one night, the moon turned a blood red, which was quickly followed by many natural disasters. Earthquakes, sinkholes, typhoons, and tidal waves were widespread across the country. Homes, schools, and businesses were badly damaged, as all the citizens were evacuated to safe zones.
While everyone else thought it was a series of terrible events, Izuku knew what was really happening. A horrible war between good and evil, and his love Y/n was somewhere out there fighting.
---------------------
(3 years later)
After a year of many great disasters, people were quick to get back to normal, yet I couldn't help but worry. The gem on the pendant lost its beautiful shine after everything was over, all I could think was if Y/n had perished in the war. My heart just ached at the thought, yet I couldn't will up the courage to visit the temple.
I... I didn't know what to do, I was too afraid of finding out if my thoughts were right. Till one night.
___________
As Izuku returned to his apartment after another day of school, Izuku slowly sat down on his couch ready to grade homework. Then suddenly his pendant began to glow brilliantly. In shock, Izuku tripped over himself and some furniture as he ran over to his pendant.
He quickly grabbed his coat and ran to the temple, as he predicted the temple was in ruin. Swords, spears, and arrows littered the ground and pillars. Yet just up ahead stood a familiar figure Izuku for so long wished to see. The figure felt another presence and turned to see who it was.
"Y/n," Izuku sighed in reilf.

Lone: The Wanderer [Dropped Version (includes original draft of the rewrite's first volume)]
Nine-to-five. The daily grind. Life. Painful years of school. Working as a slave for some undeserving corporate big-wig. The monotonous life of unemployment. We all experience this in one way or another, and we can all conclude one thing: it's dull. Such a fact rings true even for the fabled Lone Immortus, a powerful nine-tailed Golden Foxkin. However, what would you do if your monotony was suddenly ground to a halt and you were thrown out of your comfort zone along with a young girl forgotten by time? Perhaps you might have done things differently, been more organised, immediately died, gained control of the world in a matter of days, but this is Lone's tale, not yours. Watching two insecure people struggle to survive and find their place in an unfamiliar land just might be enjoyable to witness. Who knows? One thing's for certain: it won't be an easy path for them to tread, and what could possibly be more entertaining than watching people endure hardships and grow? I know of at least eight gods that would answer with, 'Absolutely nothing.' I wonder, after seeing this journey from start to finish, how would you answer? [Goal of 2 chapters per week, the only exceptions being announced breaks or emergencies] A/N: This story is in the middle of a rewrite, so please forgive any noticeable plot holes and wonky chapter numbers. I am working on it every day, so understanding would be greatly appreciated. The new cover art is a courtesy of the very kind and talented ssddx. This novel is a participant in The Writer's Pledge

Era: Dawn of the New Gods
Concise Synopsis: This is a post-apocalyptic story about the origins of various powerful figures that appeared after the apocalypse event. During the apocalypse monsters appeared possessing powers and constitution beyond the limits of human understanding. They ravaged the world and brought down all governments. The first part of the story follows Jade, a terrorist that was ravaging the world before the monsters arrived. Dramatic Synopsis: The New Gods, the most feared and revered beings on the planet. They are forces capable of absolute destruction and creation. The Council of Branches Hayley, the Living Lie (if that is her real name) Chao Feng, the Prince of Stars Lara, the Mother of Heroes The Great City of Tver Gog, the Ever Losing War The Unkillable Freak Dave, the Flow Demon Avatari, (only the name is known) Satoshi, the Gentle Hurricane As Impactful as they are no one knew their origin, they are called the New Gods so there must be Old Gods. I and my collegues dedicated our lives to finding their origins only to find out that the beings we fear and adore were once like us, average, mortal and weak... at least most of them were. *It is a sort of reverse RPG as no one knows anything either skills, abilities or how the system works but they find out on their own or develop their own skills or abilites. *The story has many protagonists and point of views but it paints a beatiful story of survival in a world of endless perils for both the humans and the monsters(some monsters are protagonists). *There is a system but it is very limited (not overpowered) and treats everyone equally, monster or human. The system is very different from regular systems; no exp, levels and system items. *The story is a world building story where overall, the world is the true main character. The cover image photo is credited to Angel David *For now it's one chapter a day
