So it turns out that Angela's back and she's in my algebra class. She's still not my favorite person, because of the lie she told about Alex, and I just find her really annoying and perky. Sometimes, she just needs to take a chill pill and relax.
But it was lunch time now, the worst time of the day. It was a good thing all Freshmen have the same lunch today, because starting tomorrow, we'll be mixed in with upperclassmen. It seems scary. I'm terrified.
When I walked into the cafeteria, I immediately saw a table with all of my friends. I walked over, hugged them all, then sat down at the open seat next to Tara.
When our table was called to go buy lunch, the majority of our table rose to their feet and went to the line. It was a pretty long line, but I wasn't complaining. I had Courtney and Emma to talk to while we waited.
Today's lunch was cheeseburgers and fries, but I'm a vegetarian, so I just got cheese pizza. It looked way better than middle school food.
I was the last one back to the table. My seat was taken by Felicia, a girl whom almost all of my friends kiss-up to. They do everything to try to impress her. I hate Felicia, and Felicia hates me. I guess today my friends decided that letting her take my seat was the right thing to do. I know they like her better than me, even though I'm always there for them and I don't talk behind their backs like Felicia does.
I looked at her, then I looked at Courtney, who probably was the one who let her sit there.
"Um, I was sitting there," I said politely.
Courtney looked at me and said, "Oh, we thought you were going to sit with Abby and Kayla." everyone laughed, accept for me. Abby and Kayla were the two weirdest girls in school! Sitting with them on my first day of high school might ruin my reputation forever. And I won't take that chance!

Courtney knows that I would never sit with them. She always acts different when Felicia's around. I hate it.
I took my lunch and threw it away. I was not going to stay in that cafeteria. I bolted out the door and headed straight for the bathroom.
I walked into the girls room, and it was completely empty. It kind of makes sense, because these are the seniors' bathrooms. But I didn't care. I went into a stall and locked the door.
I waited there until I heard the Freshmen walking by, back to class. I walked out to join them, and there was Courtney, Emma, but no Felicia.
"Hey, where'd you go?" asked Courtney.
"Away from there." I said firmly.
"Hey, we were just kidding around!"
"Yeah, real funny." and I walked away. They know I can't really take jokes that well. They know everything about me.
I guess we were supposed to go back to our homerooms for some reason.
I was kind of getting sick of all these butterflies I felt in my stomach whenever I saw Alex. And going back to homeroom where he was, didn't help a bit.
When we got back to homeroom, I realized we only had an hour left of school. Wow, I thought, time flies.

7780, or: Children of a White Rider
As one war ends, another begins. The year Fastidious: 7780 marks deteriorating relations between the Siralians, devout sailors of the Ordos Canticula, and the Ardalians, matchless fire mages ruling neverending farmlands. In the shadows, Ardalian rebels successfully unlock an ancient magical gate. Their desire? A soldier, immutable, unstoppable, and enslaved. Eli Stuart and his fiancee Patricia Secord find themselves thrown into a strange world. Trapped in a land of hostile magic and alien politics, the two of them must use their newfound powers to make alliances, stop their enemies, and ultimately reunite. However, something goes wrong. In this chaos, as the world begins to unravel in foul ways, something else stirs. Something else found its way through. Author's Note: I will update this story as often as I can. I am quite busy and write this during breaks at work. This is one of those goon-squad stories with a million characters, so "dizzying" might be a good way to describe the energy. Much of what builds up to the first arc happens in the first ten chapters, which are quite long. For that reason, if you have difficulty getting through the story, I understand, though things don't really start happening until Chapter 8-10.

Forced Development (What does it truly mean to live a fulfilling life?)
To get things started I would like to admit that this story does not bring much new to the table when it comes to the over-saturated Litrpg genre in terms of things like mechanics and power systems. Then what exactly am I trying to bring to the table with this work? A nice slow-paced novel about people maturing and growing older think of it as the re: zero or jobless reincarnation of Litrpgs. A story that tries to take into consideration how a worldwide system would affect the economics and culture of a world. A story that is much more character-focused than the typical heavy progression-focused novels this genre is known for. The RPG system, like any good power system, is there to actually explore the themes of the story and not just as a plot device for characters to get stronger. This is a story where we will see the growth of the Mc from being a baby to when he dies of old age. With plenty of heart-racing actions and intriguing plot developments along the way. Exploring themes like; What does it mean to improve at something and what does it mean to mature as a person? How does magic, the constant threat of monsters and people so much stronger than the average joe that they can destroy countries affect one's culture both on the micro and the macro scale? How people are affected by the culture in general? Generational trauma Nature vs Nurture Talent vs hard work What is morality, society, and people's opinions on both? What does it mean to be human and what does it mean to be alive in the context of a world with multiple sapient species vastly different from one another in basic biology? All these questions are going to be explored from multiple angles using the system as a catalyst for those discussions. So if any of does questions sound interesting to you what are you waiting for, I'm sure you are going to love this story. PS - Chapter come out every Friday at about the same time.
