《Freshman》10. Saturday morning

When Jisung woke up, it was 10 already. He was usually a morning person. He was also usually not going to parties, late. He didn't mind though. It had been a great night, a very great night.
Jisung smiled to the thought of him and Minho dancing, together. Getting closer. Kissing. The memory made him smile even more and giggle.
He lost himself in thoughts. Minho was in a lot of them.
After a while, he finally got up and prepared a healthy breakfast to start his day. He cut a bunch of fruits and arranged them nicely in a bowl. This was a habit of him when he started his day happy. He sat at his desk to eat, looking outside his window. The sun was already up in the sky, no clouds in view. It was going to be a nice day.
As he was eating, he got a text. He checked his phone and saw it was an unknown number. He opened it.
Hey Jisung!
It's Minho ^^ I asked Chan your phone number, I hope you don't mind. I was wondering if you'd like to hang out this afternoon.
We could go find a new cake shop...
Jisung smiled at it, making a soft sound, happy. Of course he wanted to see Minho.
Hey Minho!
No problem :)
I'd like that a lot. Where do we meet?
A minute later, he received the answer.
I'll pick you up at your place. 2pm is good for you?
Alright. 2pm's good! Can't wait :)
He had three hours left. He decided on an outfit and took a shower. He then took a book to read. Well, tried to read. He was mostly lost in his thoughts, reading the same sentence again each time he snapped out of it.
Jisung checked his phone once again. 1:42. He put his book down, took his jacket and went outside his dorm. He waited there, impatient.

At 1:53 Minho appeared from the building's corner.
Jisung smiled at him and went towards him, waving.
-Hey Minho.
-Hey Jisung.
Wow. He was outstanding. Was he getting better looking every time?
-So I looked online for the best cake shop in town and it's sort of across the city. So we have to take the bus. Said Minho, very serious.
Jisung laughed.
-What?
-We're crossing the city for cakes.
-Don't take cakes lightly. It's like cats. They make you so happy. You would cross the city to meet your friend, right? It's the same. Cakes bring joy and never disappoint. There's always cake for you, when you're feeling down.
Jisung laughed even more. Minho grinned, failing to hide it.
They waited at the bus stop.
-Last night was fun.
Jisung turned his head to face Minho.
-Yeah. I hadn't danced like that in a while. It was nice.
They stared at each other, not mentioning the kiss, nor what it meant.
It didn't feel weird or awkward. It was a comfortable silence.
Suddenly, Minho took Jisung hand and rushed.
-It's our bus!
They got in and Minho handed the money for two tickets, Jisung's hand in his right one.
He then went to the back, where a few seats where left. They sat, finding two seats side by side.
As the bus started, Minho was still holding Jisung's hand.

Risen
Note: Slight edits to early chapters (and removal of one chapter - previously chapter 2) have been made 2/2/21 The city, my city, had once been alive in a way that was hard to describe. Thriving, active, hopeful. Vibrant. But life, as I had come to learn, sometimes possesses only the most tenuous of grasps. Finally, in the end, it became my city - mine alone. I was, after all, the only one left. Worse, it was entirely my fault. There was red in my ledger that could never be wiped clean. Not while I still lived, anyway. This story follows Eran, a man who became the opposite of everything he had ever wanted to be; in a world where superpowers began to appear in a rare few, his lack of control over his own power relegated him to the role of a terrible villain - the Reaper, named so for the countless lives that he absorbed and made his own, each only furthering his deadly lack of control. Gone mad with guilt and isolation, he strove for a single heroic act - his own demise. Death was less permanent than he hoped. Centuries later, he woke to a changed world and in a body not his own. Unfortunately, his power came with him. Yet this time, things would be different. This time, he had a chance to bring it under control. He could never truly make up for the things he had done; he could never achieve redemption. That wouldn't stop him from trying to be a hero.
