《Freshman》9. Dancing in slow motion

Jisung and Minho were dancing like crazy. After a few minutes of awkwardness, Jisung let himself loosen up, feeling comfortable around Minho. They were moving and smiling, following the beat.
At some point, Jisung looked up to Minho and their eyes met. It felt like everything was in slow motion, like they were the only ones in this world. Jisung admired Minho, every single of his features. His shining eyes, his cute nose, his smiling lips, his hair falling elegantly on his forehead. Beautiful, gracious. Perfect. Minho was perfect. And really kind. At this moment Jisung knew that he liked Minho without a doubt, he liked him a lot. He only knew him for a week but every moment they shared, the older made him smile and laugh, made him happy.
They stayed like that, dancing, not looking away, for what felt like eternity. Then Minho got closer to Jisung and grabbed his waist, making their bodies brush, their faces a few centimeters away. He leaned toward Jisung and slowly kissed him. Jisung kissed back, puting his arms around the older's neck. At this moment, he did not care a bit if anybody saw them. It felt so right. How could anyone hate them? Jisung was taken aback by how Minho's lips on his matched perfectly. He liked kissing him, no, he loved it. He didn't want to stop but Minho drew back and rested his forehead on Jisung's one. Looking straight at the younger's eyes, he whispered:
-I like you Han Jisung.
Jisung couldn't be happier. He was now sure of his feelings and they were mutual.
-I like you too, Lee Minho.
They kept dancing, but more softly as they were tired, they arms still behind each other's back and neck.
Nobody said anything about them. Minho was right, college was different. Better.

Later in the evening, Jisung left to look for Hyunjin. He found him leaning against a wall, talking with Seugmin. Jisung saw the way Hyunjin looked at the red-haired boy, and it didn't look like simple friendship.
-Hyunjin. Hey Seugmin, you're here. How's your night?
Seugmin smiled at him.
-Hey Jisung. Pretty good. We've been talking a lot, it's nice.
Hyunjin shyly smiled, blushing a little. Definitely not friendship.
-That's nice. Are we going home together? As it'll be dark, I'd rather not be alone.
-Sure, text Hyunjin when you wanna leave, or he'll do if we want to go first. How do you like this party?
-It's great! I'm having fun. Yeah, I 'm glad we came.
Jisung felt a hand on his shoulder.
-Hey guys! Said Felix, looking at the three boys. I'm sorry I wasn't really with you, even though you don't know much people here. You're good?
Seugmin smiled, looking back at Hyunjin and Felix.
-Don't worry, we got to know each other more. And we barely saw Jisung, so I suppose he met people.
Felix looked at Jisung.
-That's cool! By the way, as you know Changbin and his friends, we could hang out all together!
Jisung didn't know what to think about it, seeing Minho and the boys at the same time could be a little awkward for him.
Seugmin's voice took him out of his thoughts.
-That'd be nice. Meeting new people is always good when we come to a new place.
-Sweet. Changbin is super nice, he's the best, you'll love him. He's super funny and actually very smart.
The three other boys chuckled at Felix rambling about his boyfriend.
They kept talking until Seugmin and Hyunjin were really tired, and they all got back to the dorm.
Jisung fell asleep in a minute, smiling, thinking about his night.

Currently releasing 5 chapters a week Luke Kells liked only one thing about himself: his green eyes. He hated getting bullied, hated being poor, hated being an orphan, hated his weakness, hated the government, hated his life. If someone had given him a button to push and kill everyone but him and his granddad, he would've done it without a second thought. Then, one day, after fainting during a beating, he woke up with memories that would change his life. Magic, martial arts, how to craft special artifacts; he knew it all. Anyone would’ve taken that path to glory at once. However, he had to deal with a lot on his plate first. To even begin walking that path, Luke first had to deal with his own psychological issues. Almost two years of brutal bullying that was akin to torture and no support from the school staff of the police had left him with a broken soul. Before even realizing he could be rich or powerful, he had to bring himself out of the mental hellhole he found himself in. Oh, and his memories also told him the Sentinel Tower would change reality in six months to protect the planet from the Demonic Horde. But that wasn’t as important as not making the local bully angry, right? A story about personal growth, overcoming obstacles, and reaching absolute glory at the end of the path. This is a slow-paced, character-centered story. If you want something faster paced, filled with almost immediate and nonstopping action, check out my other novel: Modern Awakening - A cultivation, LitRPG, apocalyptic novel. Will is poor. This is a fact he does not like about himself. Even back at his home village he was considered poor, but poor in the big city means something completely different than poor in a small village... It means ten hour days of hard manual labor with barely enough money to survive, and poor living conditions. He's sick of it, and desperate for change. Perhaps that was what made him decide to spend such a large portion of his savings on a mysterious potion from that beggar... That, and it seemed so special when he held it. But ever since that day, he's been having the strangest dreams... And the work is really starting to take a toll on his body... Author's Note: I wasn't sure which mature content warnings I should put on this novel, as I'm pretty much pantsing the story. I'm putting them there mostly as a percaution, but also to not limit myself as to where the story can go. This is my first time writing and publishing anything substantial. Any feedback would be greatly appreciated.
