《Down, Up And Around | DISCONTINUED/REWRITTEN》Companionship - Annabeth/Will

As I came into the room again, for the second time, the others followed behind again, not wanting to be left out. Briseis had her butt on the floor and was rapidly scooting backwards, trying to get out of the crossfire. We formed a ragged triangle position, and I saw the thing playing out in my head.
The brunette (who at this point I'm certain is Patroclus) Cringes and shouts,"Don't, it isn't worth it!"Achilles leans back into him but says nothing. We stand there for a second, Percy had riptide out, hand on the cap of his lethal pen, and if I didn't intervene, I could see bloodshed would be inevitable.
Before I could open my mouth, Piper beat me to it."Stop!" She commanded in English. They couldn't understand her, but her charmspeak had grown so powerful they couldn't help it. Agamemnon, Achilles, Patroclus, And Briseis froze, along with our friends."You aren't enemies!" This time she remembers they can't understand her and uses Greek, which makes it even more powerful.
Chiron took the opportunity to break up the two men, and out of respect for him they grudgingly let themselves be stopped. Nico took this as a perfect opportunity to faint, and we were plunged back into chaos.
I had noticed outside that Nico didn't look to well. His perpetually pale face had grown to an increasingly unhealthy shade of jade green, and he swayed into me, relying more on the support of my hand gripping his than anything else. He had said he was just overwhelmed, but I knew my boyfriend better than he thought I did.
We heard a shriek, and this time everybody trouped in beside Percy, who I admit, was rather hot. I did have a crush on him when he first got to camp, but I quickly got over it when I saw Nico, who was hot in a cold, ghost king, skeletal, anemic kind Of way. Chill.

As soon as Chiron broke up the fight, Nico decided it was his cue to pass out into my arms (which were already holding him) and everyone started shouting as I picked him up bridal style and practically sprinted to the infirmary, leaving the yells behind.
My hands shook as I forced ambrosia down his throat. He spluttered and lurched forward into my arms. I gently leaned him back until he fell on the propped up pillows beneath him and croaked for water. I diluted some nectar and gave him that, sitting on the edge of his bed, fiddling with the covers.
The door opened, and Hazel burst in followed by a concerned Frank."Hi, Hazel.. and Frank." I spluttered as she crossed the room to the bed, Frank looking uncomfortable in the corner. She turned to me with alarm in her golden eyes.
"It's kind of a bloodbath in there, Briseis got cut accidentally and they're having a hell of a time holding them back." At this she glanced at me." Achilles and Patroclus, I mean." She turned to her brother on the bed, and clucked nervously."You okay?" He nodded, a hand pushed up to his face, pinching the bridge of his nose.
"I'll be fine Hazel. But you felt it too right?" I had no idea what they were talking about, and Nico noticed."The aura of death around them, it made me ill." He looked at me, the Hazel, who nodded in confirmation."I was a little queasy, but death is more your expertise." At this she cringed, looking at me with a pained expression on her face.
"I'm sorry..." she said to me more than him. Frank awkwardly cleared his throat and she turned towards him, eyes softening."We had better get back before they all kill each other." He nodded and they trouped out after me reassuring he would be okay in my care.
He laughed. I'm not sure why, nothing funny registered in my mind about our current situation."Hazel knows more than anyone about what's about to happen." I didn't doubt him.

Marrow
Marrow was old... older than me or you. Older than the nation he lived in. And older than anyone he knew. Which is not surprising, because he did not know anyone else. He had been sitting, or perhaps leaning is the more apt expression, in a closet for many, many years, and had done nothing but stare. But eating, or rather chewing, a spider opened up another world to him. A world with a voice that was talking to him - to HIM! Marrow did not get what the voice was saying, but that was secondary at this point. And Marrow started to feel restless. Nuff said. If you like a sometimes quirky skeleton as the main character and want to ride along for its coming of age, or perhaps rather coming of sapience story... give it a shot. It is a litrpg context with skills, levels, heroes and monsters... and a skeleton. Not sure yet how fast the skeleton will level... we'll have to wait and see. As a disclaimer... this is my secondary novel... my main story is ongoing and most of my time is dedicated to that. As such, new chapters will, at first, be rather infrequent and irregular. If things go well, I may shift more attention to the story, but we shall see how things go.

When hell freezes over
An ancient seal has been broken and a forgotten power returns to the world gradually, upsetting the balance of normality. People used to say "I'll do that when hell freezes over" jokingly, but now that saying holds more weight in a changing world where people have to get used to the unusual. Ancient creatures hidden in the earth stir from their slumber of centuries, and humanity is not prepared for their ancient powers. Can the human race of steel and fire stand against the creatures created by the most ancient of powers? Is the human race pure enough to band together and form a closed fist as they did centuries ago? Find out in this adventure where Jacob starts off on his way on a normal day towards his job. "I get the feeling this story might be one of those 'diamonds in the rough'. The premise is quite solid, there's plenty of room to flesh out the characters. It's quite easy to get into and be engaged by at the moment, imo. I don't know where the story will go from here, but it's off to a good start me thinks." - Xenower Attribution: The cave picture in the book cover is made by Stanislav Sedov and is licensed under CC-BY-SA-2.0 https://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-sa/2.0/ This picture was modified from the original with an overlaid moon and sea picture to be found at https://www.flickr.com/photos/ssedov/26342569905 The photographer has no affiliation to Tschallacka nor can be held accountable for the use of this picture the way as it is here.
