"I'm here" He almost whispered, not realising himself how close he was.
Zelda's stomach flipped as she she almost melted into the half embrace. Link radiated confidence and his intentions were clearly to show Zelda that he understood her emotions, and that he knew what would make her feel better. And damn did it make her feel better. He was confident, because this was one of the things he knew he could do to help. The worried look on his face paired with his slightly rosy cheeks and concerned eyes made Zelda's surroundings just disappear.
Whether it was the soft hand that rested gently on hers, or the firm yet soothing grip that lingered on her shoulder, rubbing little circles that were oddly calming her down. It could've been because of the contrast with the cold weather outside or it could've been straight up nervousness, but Zelda's cheeks were stained red as she tried her hardest to keep her cool, to not look like all she wanted to do was scream how she felt there and then.
The only thing she wished Link knew was how smooth and charming he was being, just in general. It was almost like a switch had been flicked, that he was oblivious to what he was doing to Zelda. He couldn't have not noticed, surely.
Although he was the reason for these emotions anyway, he was remedying them immediately, so all that Zelda could feel was the pretty flutter of butterflies and complete relaxation. Her shoulders managed to loosen up and stop being so tense, as she hung her head slightly down to try and hide the grin that had appeared on her face, but she could feel Link's stare follow her, she needed to face this head on.
"I know" She answered, bringing her eyes to meet his, lifting her head up slightly. Making him worry was the last thing she wanted to do. She was well aware that her blush and grin showed her embarrassment and how she felt in that moment, but she felt okay with it. "Thank you" Eyes squinted from the smile, she continued, nervously giggling. She subconsciously placed her other hand on top of the one that was holding hers.

Link broke out into a smile, his eyes smiling with him, falling into the moment as if his feet were to never touch the ground.
That is, until the bell rang, signaling first period to start. The two jumped apart, quickly gathering their things whilst awkwardly coughing and scanning their eyes around the room.
"I-I better go" Zelda stood up, almost tripping over her own feet as she clumsily walked over to the coat rack.
Link awkwardly followed, scratching the back of his head as he did so. He too picked up his things as he tried his best not to look embarrassed. It's almost like he forgot what he was doing or where he was.
"I'll see you second!" He waved her off as he rushed away, cussing himself for acting so uncool when he actually realised the situation.
Zelda watched in slight amusement as she chuckled, before realising that she did have to hurry to make her next lesson. So she hurried along, putting her hand over her heart as it felt like her heart itself was directly feeling the emotions.
As slow as time went for the first period, second period inevitably came around. That was a recurring theme that Link had noticed, how time always slowed down until he saw her next, in which time would sprint the whole way.
Surprisingly though, Link was actually on time, walking into the lesson with the rest of the class. It didn't surprise them to hear the teacher say that all they were doing that day was the project, as the next week was the deadline and when they were done with the project once and for all. They had to use any second they had in an English lesson putting the time to good use.
The teacher scanned through the register, Link replying with a timid "here" directly after Zelda had answered her own name.

"I'm going to leave you to it. Try to keep your voices down, I've got work I need to be doing also" The teacher commented, setting the class free to sit where they liked, and pretty much do what they like. There was no way a class of 16 year olds would all do their work with no complete supervision.
Zelda stared obviously at the empty chair next to Link, and wondered for a minute whether she should take the opportunity and help him with the project in class. There was a possibility though, that it'd make him feel pressured and uncomfortable.
That's when she clocked it. If questioned, she could make the excuse that it was getting too crowded near where she was working. Yeah, that was it.
Slowly, she ascended to her feet, taking her bag with her. As she approached the other side of the room, she was certain that she'd made a mistake; it was too late to head back to her own seat.
Gently, she placed her bag down at the side of her chair, trying not to make too much noise. Linked cocked his head to the right to see her look nervous, as if she was planning out what she was going to say.
"I think I've come up with a topic" He softly spoke first, his voice only audible to Zelda, his gestures a lot smaller than they were usually.
"You have? That's great!" She sighed in relief, happy that she wasn't questioned as to why she was there in the first place. "What is it?" She asked quietly as she got her own project folder out of her bag.
"Well... It's a little bit cheesy, but I think it's something I can talk about" Feeling the need to justify himself, he spoke.
"Cheesy is fine" She chuckled slightly, quickly forgetting about her earlier worries.
"I was thinking to do it on equality. Y-You know, respecting people for who they are" In embarrassment, his cheeks started to turn pink as he refused to look at Zelda's face, as he feared her reaction. He truly missed out on a beautiful sight.
Zelda was focused on his profile, seeing how he was scared of being judged for choosing what he chose. He started to think that maybe it was stupid-
"I like that idea" She flashed a grin, seeing how quickly his mood seemed to change from a simple sentence of confirmation.
