"Zelda..." Her mother muttered.
"What? He's your patient, so it has nothing to do with me" Zelda huffed and folded her arms.
"Why are you speaking with that tone then? Look, I know you're worried, but you've got to look at things from his perspective. Some random girl comes to his house to help him study, who just so happens to be his therapists daughter"
"To me, that doesn't seem so bad. But it obviously does to him as you're saying that, so why did you make me go there in the first place? Nothing you're saying is making sense with what you're doing" Zelda understood why her mother couldn't tell her anything specific about Link's 'condition', but that didn't mean that she could stop being curious then and there.
Zelda had seen first hand many times that Link could in fact speak. She may not have understood why she'd only recently discovered that to be a fact.
She was in a bit of a dilemma. Just because she was going over and helping him didn't mean that they were necessarily friends. Besides, maybe he just wanted to keep his mouth shut at school, and he was too far in to back down so he just continued with it. But there was a chance, however small it might've been, that it had to do with whatever his problem was.
Zelda still had no idea how to describe it. She didn't know if he had an illness or a disorder, or if he just went to talk to the councillor for someone to talk to. None of those answers seemed far fetched, and her own mother wasn't being very leading at all. Not to mention that he flew off to the bathroom and 'wasn't coming out for awhile'
I wonder. If I just asked him why he visits my mother, would he tell me? I mean, has he talked to anyone else at school as much as he has to or with me? Probably. Actually, I'm quite surprised that he didn't ask for help or even mention the English exam. Maybe he's just planning to skip it and fail. That would be really sad, honestly. I'll ask him about it next time. Zelda thought.

She found herself thinking about Link a lot as of recently. She didn't really know why, but her mind would subconsciously be reminded of his smile, and the way he squinted his eyes when concentrating. She didn't necessarily hate it though. It's not like his smile or his eyes were unpleasant to look at. In fact, Zelda quite liked the view.
It surprised her that all of the attention Link got were for the wrong reasons. If he talked and acted more like a 'normal' student, he would be rather popular, or so Zelda thought. She'd heard girls gawking over his looks all the time, but it was always met with something like "What a shame" or "That's unfortunate". She wouldn't deny that he looked good, but even if he didn't she'd still help him.
Once the car ride came to an end, Zelda jumped out and immediately tried to run into her house. Of course, it was locked. She pulled out her key and put it into the lock, turning it until she heard a little click.
"Why are you running off?" Her mum called from behind her.
"I'm just... Really tired" She replied, walking in the door.
She hung her jacket over the banister, sighing as she did so. Her hands ran over the soft, silky material as she wondered. Why could she literally not get her mind off him? Was it because she was too curious, and nosier than she thought?
She felt just as bad as everyone else, who brought Link up often for a topic of conversation. Although she was helping him, she couldn't help but be scared that She said or did something to make him suddenly bail. From what her mother had said it didn't sound like it, but that's the intention she truly got.

She slowly and sloppily dragged herself up the stairs, only just realising how tired she actually were. She yawned loudly as she were half way up the stairs, covering her mouth even though no one could see her.
Once she reached her bedroom on the second floor, she flopped into her bed with a huff. What time is it? She thought, remembering that she left her phone in her jacket pocket. She did however, have a digital alarm clock on a little table just beside her bed.
Only 2pm?! She was shocked. She was sure that it had been longer than that. It's not like the session with Link dragged on, but she really thought it was later than that.
She rolled onto her side, her long, shining hair gracefully flowing over her shoulder onto her back.
She stared out of the window that was directly in front of her, squinting as the brightness squeezed through the blinds and invaded her retinas. She covered her eyes with her arm, yawning as she did so.
She turned again, so was sprawled out on her back like a starfish, before falling asleep unwillingly.

Link slowly unlocked the bathroom door after he heard the door suddenly close. He still couldn't bring himself to mutter a single word, but he was still relieved that Zelda had to go quickly after he shut himself away. He really assumed that she'd know something, that her mother would've spilt the beans. But she didn't.
He took a deep breath, sighing immediately afterwards. He brought his hands that were shaking moments before and wiped his tearing eyes with them, moving his hands in small, circular motions. He wasn't doing it roughly, yet his eyes started to inflame and puff up red.
Great. He thought. Now it looks like I've been crying. But of course, he hadn't been.
