《Legend of Zelda ONESHOTS! (read des.)》Lover?: Revali x Kind! Reader

You walked along the empty halls of Hyrule Castle, glancing at all the cold, stone walls that held ancient pictures of the royal families that were born in different timelines. The Princess had instructed you to study all of the past princesses and what they did in order to unlock their powers, since she herself had a hard time managing it. You of course obliged, since she was the Princess. Plus this was good since it was research, and this was your job.
"What are you doing out here this late?" You heard the familiar crisp voice you heard almost everyday. You hummed in curiosity, turning around to see a navy blue bird with a beak the color of the sun. They also had piercing emerald eyes, the color of glossy green leaves, as well as white and red markings across their eyes, which almost resembled makeup.
"Hello, Master Revali." You talked with a soothing voice, one that sounded like a cool melody to the bird.
"I was just taking note of the princesses on the walls. Princess Zelda instructed me to study how they acted." You smiled at him, looking back to the portraits. "Does that bother you?" You asked in a worried voice. "I don't want to make you worried!" You held your leather sketchbook up to your chest. It was one that you held dearly, since your best friend, who supposedly lived in Rito Village, made it herself, and you loved every part of it.
"No, no. I was just curious as to why you are up and around the castle at midnight." He crossed his arms, raising an eyebrow while you swiftly moved your pen onto the paper.
"I would like this done by tomorrow so I could get started on the structures of the guardians for Purah." You simply explained. Revali then caught his gaze back to your E/C eyes. "Is there a problem, Master Revali?" You looked up to him staring at you. His usual sharp gaze had softened, and his expressions were less... prideful.
"No, just fine. You should go to bed."
"But I need to-"
"Now, you wouldn't want to disobey a champions orders, now would you?" The bird caught a glimpse of acceptance from your eyes.
"No, Master Revali. If you excuse me," You left to the royal lab. "I can go now."
Revali frowned. "The royal lab is quite far, do you need a lift?" He smirked.
"No, I'm okay. I think I can manage on my- Woah!" You were interrupted by Revali placing you on his back and flying off.
"M-Master Revali, what are you doing?!" You looked down to the ground, which was a big distance away from you.
"Just simply flying you back to the lab, like a real hero would do." His pride rang through your head. You had tried your best to keep up an act with him, because he was an important key in defeating Ganon.
You had been kind to everyone, and you hadn't said or done something mean to anyone in your entire life. So you couldn't just talk back to him. Once you got there, he dropped you, almost making you fall to the ground.
"Thank you Master Re-" You turned around to face Revali, but he wasn't there. He had already left. "-vali." You looked into the sky once more, and you swore Revali looked back at you, but that didn't matter. You walked inside your lab, then organized all of your papers. You really wanted to keep on working, but you also didn't want to disobey Champion Revali's orders. So you just went to bed.

In the morning, you woke up to the chirping of birds, and the morning breeze rushed through your window, messing your work up. You saw Purah walk in with a stack of new papers, something that happened everyday. "Good morning, Miss Purah!" You greeted her, motioning for her to sit down while you made an omelet, her favorite. "What is the new work today?" You asked her. She then smirked, making you walk over to the papers and take a look at them.
"Y/N, today you are traveling with the champions to Rito Village!" She excitedly jumped up. "That way you can spend time with them!"
"Wait, what?!" You had tons of work to do! "The champions? But I do not really have the time to do that!"
"Princesses orders!" She pointed a finger at you. You sighed.
"Okay, Miss Purah." You started packing papers and pens up, also taking your new work with you.
"And stop calling me that name! You know that we've known each other long enough for you to call me by my first name!" She pouted. She sure acted like a little kid sometimes.
"Yes, Purah." You have grown to become great friends, always helping each other with work. Purah was your best company when you were at home.
"So... tell me how things between you and Revali happened last night?" She smirked, wiggling an eyebrow.
"Did you see that last night?" Purah nodded excitedly, scooting next to you. You giggled, sitting next to the little scientist. "Um, well... I was at the castle, doing some work for the Princess when Master Revali asked me why I was up."
"Then?!"
"Then he told me I needed rest. And when I tried to argue for him not to take me to the lab, he put me on his back and flew me here." You put the bags on your back, standing up.
"A lovely chapter to the story!" Purah remarked, laughing when your face heated up.
"Purah!" You covered your face.
"Y/N!!!" You turned around to see Princess Zelda standing at the door.
"Hello your highness." You bowed to her, but she stopped you.
"Ah- what did I tell you about this?" She crossed her arms and huffed.
"No talking maturely to me, Y/N. You know that we are best friends, and that doesn't change because I'm a Princess." Zelda repeated her words from the past.
"Now we shall embark our journey to Rito Village!" She pretended like she held up a sword and pointed it to the door. You laughed, seeing the princess of Hyrule, your best friend, so childish. Just like Purah.
"The land of Y/N's lover!" Purah added in, copying Zelda's movements, and you stopped.
"Purah, you know that's not true." You hugged Purah goodbye.
"That's what you think!" She told you, waving goodbye, then walking back to her own lab.
"I have a question Zel." You looked at Zelda, who walked beside you.
"Yes Y/N? Tell me." She held your hand, and you blushed.
"Why do you guys ship me with Master Revali?" Princess Zelda raised her eyebrows.
"Because, it's obvious he likes you. And you like him. Plus, when you're together you guys are so cute!" She pointed out.
"Okay. That's all I needed to know." You both continued the walk with a comfortable silence. Once you reached the champions, you all greeted each other
"Glad to see you could make it, Y/N!" Mipha walked over and hugged you. Ever since Zelda introduced you to the champions, you have made quite the acquaintance with each of them. Especially Link, who was like an older brother to you. When you stayed up for nights at a time he would take care of you.

He always scolded, "You need to get in bed, or else I will ruin your work!" Of course, you always followed his orders since you couldn't deny anyone's requests.
You hugged all the other champions and then started making your way to Rito Village.
"Y/N, now's not the time to study! Look at the gorgeous view!" Urbosa commented, bringing your head up to meet the fantastic landscape placed before you.
Skinny trees were scattered all over the vast meadows, with the wood bringing a cedar scent to your nose. The sun was gleaming bright, as usual, and the sky was a vivid cerulean blue. You took note of the Divine Beast Vah Medoh, a mechanism controlled by the champion Revali, gliding around the huge rock that the Rito made a village out of.
You gasped when you took in the breathtaking wonder, stopping your trek. You had wanted to sketch it so badly, but you had decided to keep on moving with the group.
"We're here!" Mipha pointed out, glancing to the village made out of wood. It was very peaceful, and you almost heard a melody when you stepped foot in the town full of bustling people. From Ritos to Hylians, it was always busy, even at night.
"Well, hello there! Have you come to see us?" Daruk's booming voice snapped you back into trace as you saw his head look down.
"Excuse me sir!" You heard a sweet voice. You then saw a girl rito with dark blue and purple feathers gasp when she saw you. She had a golden colored beak and kind ocean blue eyes.
"Y/N!!" The Rito hugged you. "I missed you so much, WHERE WERE YOU!?" the little rito pouted. You giggled and was almost tugged down to her height as she hugged you.
"Hi Mayona, how have you been?" You asked, excited to see your friend.
"LONELY! You've been gone for so long, how come you haven't visited?" She crossed her arms, stomping the ground.
"I'm so sorry, I had work to do!" Mayona played with your hair.
"Come on, mommy wants to see you!" She pulled you to the front, and you looked at the shocked champions.
"Oh! Mayona, these are the champions! Princess Zelda, Lady Mipha, Chief Urbosa, Master Daruk, Mr. Link and Master Revali! Guys, this is Mayonaka, my friend's daughter!" Mayona waved hi to the champions, then looked back at you.
"You guys can call me Mayona!" She smiled, making you laugh.
"May I ask what that name means?" Princess Zelda asked, bending down to see Mayona.
"It means midnight! You know, because of the color of my feathers!" Mayona was very cheery, maybe a little too cheery at some points in life.
"Oh, what a lovely name!" Princess Zelda saw the nod Mayona gave, and she giggled.
"What are you doing out here Mayona- oh, Y/N, you're here!" You turned around to see a bigger rito with sky blue and lime green feathers walk up to you and hug you.
"Hi Aila!" You returned the hug, smiling at the champions who were still confused as to who these people were. Even Revali, who lived in this village.
You all walked in the village, with Mayona talking about how she was when you left. Of course, you listened, since you didn't see her for 3 months.
Aila made dinner for the champions and you, and you settled into her home. You hugged Aila's husband, Kayo, then started to eat the dinner they made.
Zelda, Link, Urbosa and Mipha sat on one side, while Aila, Kayo, Revali, Mayona and you sat on the other side. Daruk sat at his own side, since he was the biggest of all of them.
Mayona sat in your lap as you fixed her hair. Then your expression saddened, which didn't go unnoticed by anyone.
"How... How have you really been Mayona?" You questioned, and Mayona tried brightening your mood up.
"It's fine, Y/N! My heart rate has been normal for the past few weeks!" She smiled, then continued eating.
"She has been eating normal, but we don't know when it'll come back." Aila interrupted, and you gave a hesitant nod.
"Has she still been having nightmares?" You wondered.
"It happens every night. We don't really know the cause of it." Kayo said, stopping to take a bite.
"Hmm... Maybe I can make another elixir..." You thought out loud, making Mayona's eyes brighten.
"WAIT! As in.. that weird blue colored potion you put in tea that tastes really good!?" Mayona exclaimed, making you giggle.
"Yeah, that stuff." You excused yourself from the table and Aila helped you unpack your things, insisting you stay in her house. You accepted, since you didn't want to make her sad. You then packed a small bag full of vials and a journal, and bringing your weapons. You then headed out, also making sure no one was following you.
You walked to a hill near the Rito Stable, then settled down. You took out your potion journal and flipped to one of the last pages. You had listed all of the ingredients and the thorough instructions in your book, and you were happy you did. Now you knew all of the plants in Hyrule, and you even discovered some too, such as mighty thistle, and armoranth. You also knew the qualities of each plant, and which ones make the right potion. You had definitely come in handy when people needed an elixir.
Hearty Elixir
2 Hearty Radishes
1 Hearty Lizard
2 Lynel Horns
You closed your book and started walking to the Hebra Mountains.
When you got to an open field, you saw a giant beast in the middle of it and you sighed. This was going to be a piece of cake.
You had your weapons out, which was a Traveler's Sword and a Traveler's Shield, as well as a Traveler's Bow. They weren't actually what they seemed, though. Once you clicked a button on the sides of each weapon, they all turned into Ancient Shiekah weapons.
Once the Lynel had spotted you, it roared. It attempted to hit you, but you had easily dodged it, also making some attacks yourself. You had stunned it with an electric arrow and you rode on its back. While stabbing it, you had the horns spotted, and you were going to cut it, but the Lynel had taken notice. Though you were too fast and hit it with an arrow. It turned into purple smoke, leaving behind its residues.
Once you got back to Rito Village you started making the elixir, adding the ingredients one by one. You mixed it up, then added a secret flavoring to it. You then went to Aila and Kayo's house and made a tea, adding the perfect blend of herbs to the steaming water. You saw the champions talking with Aila and Kayo, and they seemed to enjoy the company. Not wanting to interrupt, you went to Mayona's hammock, and saw the same little bird laying there.
"Y/N? I don't feel so good."
"I made you tea. Drink it up." You instructed her, sitting her up. "Hopefully this can help for now." You said quietly as Mayona gulped it down.
"Thank you Y/N!" She said in a cheery voice, then groaned. "Mayona, did you take any medicine today?"
"Um... I kinda went out early with my friends to Warbler's Nest, and didn't take my medicine." She coughed, making you worry. You checked her forehead and felt it burning hot.
"Why is it so cold in here?" She questioned. That was the last straw. You quickly got up and went into the room where everyone was. You instantly searched the cabinets for her medicine, but when you found the bottles they were empty.
"Mayona I'll be right back, please stay in bed." You reassured her.
"Okay Y/N!"
Aila and Kayo stopped their conversation to listen to what you were saying, but before they could question, you quickly left the house.
You went to Rito Village's doctor, Nave, and got her 3 new bottles of medicine. Then you quickly sped to Mayona and gave her the medicine.
"You need to point this stuff out next time, okay?" You pet her head as Mayona yawned, falling asleep.
"What happened?" Kayo questioned, making you look up.
"Mayona has a fever. I gave her a hearty elixir in her tea and she just got her medicine."
"You know we are the parents." Aila said, dragging you into the room full of people.
You looked back to Mayona. "I know I just... I can't lose another one, you know?" you looked to the floor. You thought of Aila and Kayo's last child, Mimilo.
Mimilo was a boy with brown and white feathers, and ever since he was a baby he was sick. He fought it until he was 9, when he sadly passed away. You were his best friend, and he was yours. You knew that he would pass away early, but you didn't think he would die that early.
"I'm fine, don't worry."
An hour passed since you gave Mayona the medicine. You sat at one of the ledges at Revali's Landing. You took your sketchbook out and started drawing the twinkling stars that surrounded the crescent moon. Shades of blue painted the sky as the sun died into darkness.
"Hey, scientist." You turned around to face Revali, who stood up on one of the ledges.
"Hello, Master Revali! What are you doing here?"
"Oh, you poor thing." Was all the bird said before he used his famous gale to lift him up into the sky. you watched as he flew up to Divine Beast Vah Medoh.
"Wait, is something the matter? Did I do something to you?" You tried shouting out, but it seemed like he didn't hear you. You sighed, walking to Aila and Kayo's house.
The champions had already left, leaving you, Aila, Kayo and Mayona. The little family had already seemed to fall asleep, giving you the perfect silence to continue your work. You had finally finished Princess Zelda's work, now working on a drawing of the skywatcher guardian. After finishing halfway, you had taken a piece of paper out and started to write down new ingredients for a new elixir.
Healing Elixir, Advanced Addition
2 Big Hearty Radishes
3 Hearty Lizards
2 Moblin Horns
1 Lynel Gut
1 Lyashi Rose
Most of the ingredients were easy to come by, but the Lynel Gut and the Lyashi Rose were hard to collect. Luckily, you had gotten a Lynel Gut from the Lynel you had just beaten in a little glass container, so that was off the list. For the Lyashi Rose, it was the rarest flower in all of Hyrule. It only bloomed once every 5 years on the top of Mount Lanayru. That was going to be a long trip.
The consequences were that you couldn't leave the champions' side, you were an important aspect in defeating Hyrule. Of course, not as important as the champions, Link or Zelda, but you were helping as much as you could.
You could come up with an excuse, maybe to stop by the lab to gather ingredients and pick up extra work to bring on your trip.
You decided it. You would leave bright and early tomorrow. Or possibly once you finished some work at the village. The moment you clicked your pen shut to study some notes about the divine beasts, you heard a tiny squeak.
"Y/N..." You glanced up to Mayona, who was standing in front of you.
"Oh, Mayona! Hello." You quickly covered your notes with your hands, which sparked interest in the little rito.
"What is that Y/N?" Mayona looked to see the notes, and then gasped loudly.
"YOU'RE LEAVING?! BUT YOU JUST GOT HERE!"
"Mayona it's nighttime! We wouldn't want to wake anyone up..." You put a finger over Mayona's beak, but it was too late.
"Where are you going?" You heard a voice from behind you. You and Mayona both jumped to see Link and Revali standing at the door. Mayona gasped again and went over to Link, instantly pulling his arm towards your papers and shoving it in his hands.
"Y/N is LEAVING!"
