《The First Champion | BOTW Link x GN!Reader》Yiga Clan Hideout

You walk out of the entrance of Gerudo and hear footsteps in the sand approaching you. You turn and see a man running toward you and Link.
"Are you the Champions everyone is talking about?" he asks you.
"I-- uh..." you debate speaking the truth.
"You are! Please, accept this gift from me. I hope it will aid you on your quest." He bows and holds out a folded pair of pants and a pair of boots on top. You take it and are surprised by the light weight material. "They should help you in the sand." He stands up straight and looks at you. "If you... you know... If you are free sometime... Maybe I could take you on a... on a d-da--"
"Oh, well, uhm-- Sorr-- I'm... He's kinda--" You take a deep breath and begin again. "Not a chance."
"Awh man. You could have at least let me down easy," he sighs and walks off. You look down at the boots gifted to you.
"Hmm, hey I'll be right back," you say and walk back in the town. You turn to the clothes shop and walk in the back to put on the sand boots. They have a tight fit and light weight that was perfect to not sink into sand. You stomp your feet on the stone ground and hear only a muffled thump. They were pretty sound absorbent as well.
You walk out of the shop and head back to Link. You see he had changed into the Desert Voe spaulder and headband.
You look around and see the man who gave the boots to you sitting under a canopy.
"Hey!" you call, to which he looks up hopefully. "Thank you! That was very kind of you. These should be a big help!" You take a moment to appreciate his smile before leaving.
You turn and walk off with Link by your side. The boots helped you stay on the surface of the sand. The ground felt completely solid and you feel you can even run on the dusty beach. You hear the sound of the Sheikah Slate starting and see Link looking at the map. He touches Karusa Valley and taps a red marker. He then switches to a smaller map and gets the exact direction they need to head in.
You pass a cactus with red fruit growing on it. Link takes a picture of it and the camera reveals it to be Voltfruit, a fruit that has low level electricity resistance. You take it with you now that you know they are edible.
After a while of walking, you rip off your silk mask and breathe in the hot air. You take off the veil and stuff the fabric in your pocket bag.
"My goddess, it is hot," you complain. While wiping sweat off of your neck, your hand brushes the brooch you pinned to the top of the Gerudo Vai top. The brooch was made of gold and carefully cut sapphires. You realize that you are able to bear the horrible heat thanks to the sapphires' natural power of heat resistance.
Maybe he had that in mind... the person that gifted you the brooch. You were so close to finding out the name, it was infuriating.
You really loved that person. How could you forget his name like this?
You continue to hike through the bare desert for what seems like an hour, until you finally reach the canyons. You pass tall formations of rock that tower over you. Electric Keese fly a little ways away from you. You take out a voltfruit and peal a part of its tough skin off so you can take a bite of the center. It tastes mildly sweet and was surprisingly juicy. It helped satisfy your thirst.

You walk deeper into the canyons and look around you to see statues resembling frogs. They were placed all around the walls and face the path. The incline starts to get very steep, but you see lines of banners and paper strung on the canyon walls. This must mean you are getting closer.
You walk up the mound and find that the sand path ends here. You climb the stone to a higher lever and you see the only way to go is left.
You almost run up the dirt path, knowing you are closer. The path swerves up and goes under a stretch of rock that sand rains down from above.
You jump and grab your bow as you hear a laugh from behind you. You turn and see a Yiga footsoldier appear in red mysterious magic. You grab an arrow and pull back the string, aiming at the Yiga. They just laugh and disappear, only to reappear in a corner to your left. You let the string go and hit their arm.
They let out a yell and fall to the ground. Link runs and swipes at them with tri-boomerang. In a quick flash, they disappeared and retreated, probably to let the clan know you are here.
You ran up the path, wanting to get there as soon as possible. You see more of the frog dolls, but the ones ahead have paper draped over their faces with the anti-sheikah symbol. More banners string above you and sway in the wind.
You walk up to a spot in the path that has the stone dolls surrounding it. You draw an arrow and walk closer, alert. Three Yiga appear in front of you as predicted. As soon as you got a good shot, you aim for the middle one's mask and fire. They are knocked back letting out a yell of pain, leaving Link to take care of them. The others disappeared and reappeared on either side of you.
You jumped out of the way and rolled to the one on your left. You get out your sword and with a swift movement, strike their feet, and they fall to the ground in a heap. You draw your bow and hit the other one square in the mask. You run over and slash at their torso. Both of the Yiga retreated, leaving rupees spilling out of their pockets.
You stand there panting with your hands on your head to breath better. 'Gods, that is stressful', you think. 'Monsters are one thing, but these are people.'
Adrenaline courses through your veins. You bend down and pick up the blue rupees they dropped. You then see a bunch of bananas lying next to the money and pick them up. 'Why would they be carrying around bananas?' you questioned. You looked up to Link and gave him a confused look, which he returns.
You look past him and see the entrance. At last, you had made it.
You begin running toward the entrance. When you get closer, you slow down and draw your sword. You slowly turn around the corner and then see you are alone. You put back your sword with a sigh of relief, but the tension slowly built back up as you stare at your surroundings.
Long and tall banners hung from the ceiling down to the stone floor. A platform stood in the center of the circular room wit torches surrounding the steps. You walk up the steps and see a Duplex Bow, the bow they carried that is specialized to fire two arrows at once.

You grab the bow and replace it with your current one, which was nearly breaking. It was a downgrade, but at least you know it won't be snapping in the next battle.
You then see that there are steps leading up to the banners with torches around them. The entrance must be around here somewhere...
You grab a torch from the center and walk up to a banner. You hold the flames up to the fabric and watched the fire spread up the fabric, eating away at the threats. You step back as the banner falls in a crumpled heap. The fire burns out and reveals only wooden crates.
You walk up to them and look inside to see some apples, rupees, voltfruit, and bananas. You take the money and food before turning around. You see Link burning the other banners, following your lead. The one he tried only lead to crates and barrels as well.
It takes three more guesses until you find the entrance you are looking for. You quietly call for Link's attention. He comes out of a corner and sees you pointing towards the stairs. He nods and follows you.
You walk up the two sets of stairs. A sandy and dusty fragrance fills the air. Your throat urges you to cough, but you swallow the choking smell. You then see a platform with a small cellar with a woman sitting tied up inside. You walk closer to her and see that she is of the Gerudo.
"Barta!" you whisper. She looks up and startled.
"What are you doing here?" she hissed. "This is the hideout of those Yiga thieves who stole the Thunder Helm. If they spot you, they'll call their friends for sure. There's no way you can take all of them on. If only you had some way of distracting them... but I don't know how. All I ever see them do is patrol and eat bananas. I have never seen anything else that you can exploit as a weakness."
You then see a small table with bananas sitting on it. You grab the two bunches, thinking they would be handy for distraction.
"Listen, this place is dangerous," Barta begs. "You should get out of here while you can. I can take care of myself." You quietly sigh and step back.
You then suddenly pull down Link to the ground with a grab of his wrist. A flame lights the area around the passageway. You hear footsteps lead up to the platform you're on. They stop and the flame moves around as though looking for trespassers. After a moment of bated breath, the guard walks away. You get go of Link's wrist and he stands up.
You stand up with your eyes on the flame. You gave him a look saying 'any ideas?'. He looks at the bananas and then back at you.
"We'll distract them and get the Thunder Helm. There is no going back now," he quietly says. You nod and silently climb down from the platform. The hallway loops around a wall with torches around it. You help Link get down and stay as quiet as possible as you follow the guard around the walls. As soon as they turn their back, you will run to the down stairs.
You sneak around the wall and the guard turns their back at last. You quietly run towards the stairs with Link just behind you. You walk down the steps very low to the ground and see another guard blocking a door, standing as still as a statue. You think of what to do until Link taps your arm. You turn around and see him holding the bananas. You nod and take them from him.
You draw a deep breath. If you mess up, it will cost both you and Link's life.
You toss the bananas past the wall you hid behind. The guard walks over as you and Link run as quickly and soundlessly as you can to the next hallway. You look behind you and see the Yiga eating the bananas happily.
The stairs lead to a narrow passageway. An entrance and a ladder are your two options. You get a small glance at what is past the doorway and see a large room littered with guards patrolling around crates. The ladder is your only option. You look behind you to Link and give him a 'follow me' look.
You run past the doorway as quickly as you can, hoping that nobody saw you. You climb the ladder and see a passage to a room that is piled full of bananas. You looked behind you and slowly blinked at Link, giving him a 'what the actual living hell' look. He shakes his head and slightly smiles.
You look to your right and see that the windows have no glass. You could easily climb through them. You look down and see very narrow wooden rafters that are wide enough to walk on. You turn to Link and he shakes his head. You give him a 'well do you have a better idea?' look. He sighs and shakes his head again. You motion him to follow you.
You carefully step out the window and onto the long board. It creaks slightly, causing you to hold your breath. You walk along it and step on top of a large crate. Link follows you and steps onto the crate with you. You walk along another rafter and see the entrance to the room is blocked by a guard. Great.
Link hands you more bananas. You grab them and drop them for the guard to see. Without question, they walk over and begin eating the bunch with no other care in the world. You jump down behind the guard and run into the doorway. Link follows you into the bare room.
A chest sits in the middle of a platform. You run up to it, hoping that this holds the Thunder Helm.
Nope... just bananas.
"Seriously?!" Link mouths. This is getting ridiculous.
You step off the center and look around the room for anything. You find a Demon Carver, a circular blade with sharp spikes around the edge. You grab it, as it is much better than your sword which threatens to break at every attack it takes.
You look around and see targets painted on canvas and plastered around the room. A bare part of the wall stands out among the rest, as every other inch is covered with junk.
You walk up to the bare wall and press your hands against it, feeling that it is cold. You softly knock on the material and reveal that this is metal.
Link turns to the source of the sound and sees you looking at the wall. An idea comes to him and he retrieves the Sheikah Slate, selecting the Magnesis rune. A magical projection of a magnet materializes around the Slate. Link motions for you to move out of the way.
You move as an orb of magnetic energy connects to the wall. He twists the slate, and the metal board swings around and reveals a secret room. He turns the rune off and walks in the room with you behind him.
You step into a large clearing with paper lanterns strung up on the roof above you. You walk out from underneath the roof and look at the canyon walls surrounding it. You see a large circular hole in the center of the arena. It seemed to drop down forever with no bottom.
"Hey!" you hear a voice call. You stop in your tracks and look around with one hand on your handle to the carver, but not drawing it yet. The voice was sickeningly familiar.
Suddenly a figure appears next to you using the magic of the Yiga. You look and see a clan member much more dressed up than the others you've seen. "Who the hell do you think you are, walking in here so carelessly?!"
The voice was male. Deep, but youthful. The enemy stood taller than you by a few inches. He wore red clothes with silver jewelry. A belt in the design of a string of eyes strapped around his hips. His identity was completely covered by a hood and a Yiga Clan mask that curved into horns at the top.
But once his hidden eyes fell on you, his entire demeanor changed. He straightens up and hesitates on his next words.
"My gods," he says. "Is it really you?"
Neither you or Link say anything. You can't tell who he's talking to.
"All these years, and you finally decide to come back? Do you know how long I waited? My scouts claimed you had woken up, but didn't dare believe it. But now... you're here. Oh, how I've dreamed of this moment..."
Your heart pounds in your chest unsettlingly loud. The stranger notices your stiffness and widened eyes, flickering in fear but showed no form of recognition. Next to you, Link subconsciously forms a fist as he realizes the attention of the enemy was on you.
"What's with that look, (Y/N)?" he steps closer. "Do you really not remember me? We grew up together, for Hylia's sake, and you really forgot me?"
You say nothing.
"I'm guessing the theory was true then. Resurrecting really does cost memory, huh? Well if you've truly forgotten, then please allow me to introduce myself."
He opened his arms wide in presentation. "I am the leader of the Yiga Clan! Master Ahgin!"
There it was:
the name.
Your heart nearly stops altogether. You nearly drop the carver as your mouth slowly opens in utter shock.
"But wait..." you start with a weak voice. "That's the name of..."
"What? Still nothing clicks?" he baits. "Well, not to worry. I will tell you what happened after the Calamity struck... and after I found you there nearly dead."

The Legend of Rayola the Deathless [Dead]
[This story is Discontinued] Another story based on the lore, which has been expanded and with far more details and hopefully better writing shall be released later on. After about the tenth time she died, Rayola started to think, that maybe she didn't come out quite right, even by supernatural standards. Of course, the pale white skin and hair, plus the blazing orange eyes might have been a clue and it was getting harder and harder to blend in. To top it all off, she has no memory of who she is and there's an incredibly suspiscious, snarky voice in her head making quips about her life choices. Even worse was the inability to sleep. At first, she thought that maybe she was just an overly messed up zombie or even a vampire! But she was proven wrong time and time agian... there were too many inconsistencies and it made her uneasy. The final straw was the issue with her own identity. At first she was okay with being her own brand-new person, but as more and more ghosts of her past started to slowly catch up, she had no choice but to set off on a journey... A journey to discover who she once was, and to find out what had happened to her. It was for no noble cause but merely one for personal salvation. Yet, her actions left behind a legend in her wake.
