Chapter Thirty Four

Drew’s POV

Upon seeing the bright red blood splattered on the steps all thoughts of being quiet and sneaking up on Blaine vanish from my mind. My vision turns cloudy with rage and my heart pounds in my chest as I aim my gun sneaking along the walls, I’m prepared to kill.

I feel no remorse at the thought of murdering someone, nothing. I feel contentment at the thought of killing that f***** that makes my girl fear for her life. She’s living her life knowing that he’ll come back for her and tonight that’ll be no more. She’ll be able to live her life with peace of mind knowing that he’s dead, and he won’t be coming back for her.

The halls are dim, the shack is shady. The wooden floors creak poorly under my weight, the timber walls pressing into my back transporting nervous chills up and down my spine.

Turning a corner, I notice four thickset men standing with their hands clamped to their small handguns, their bird like eyes flicking around the hall. I rip the silencer from the back of my jeans, jamming it onto my gun before aiming at the first guy’s chest and firing.

His eyes enlarge as the bullet tares all the way through his body, blood seeping out from around the wound. He stares down at it, blood bubbling out from his open mouth. His buddies stare at him briefly before loading their guns, firing everywhere in the hall not spotting me. The guy with the bullet wound above his heart crashes to the floor his eyes wide.

Gulping and thinking only of Harmony and not the fact that I just killed a person for the first time, I shoot at the last three men hitting each of them in the same position I hit the first guy. I fire a couple more shots at them to take them out faster then the first guy, they too crash to the floor with blood leaking from their open mouths and their eyes wide with alarm.

I flee the scene racing down the hallway. Blaine had to have heard the sounds of those guns; he has to know that I’ve taken out most of his men. If he’s smart, he would’ve taken Harmony and ran but considering he called Ian just to let Harmony talk to me smart is not the first word that comes to mind when I think of him.

Kicking down every door in my sight I inspect each room quickly for Harmon ready to shoot Blaine if I happen to come across him in a different room. None of the room’s on the top level. I enter the last room on the upper level and stop dead in my tracks when a loud bang echoes through the shack followed by an all too familiar scream.

My heart leaps into overdrive at the sound of her voice and knowing she’s in the shack. Then another bang and another scream follow and I know something good is not going down in the attic.

I race out of the room and tare down the hall, throwing myself up the latter of the attic. I lob all of my body weight at the small closed off opening door to the attic shouting her name at the top of my lungs.

“HARMONY” I scream lobbing myself at the opening, “HARMONY”

The damn door flies up but doesn’t open entirely. I continue to holler and shout louder as the bangs and the screams carry on above me.

He’s hurting her!

My heart speeds up and it takes all I have in me not to loose all my energy. A sickening wail of pain breaks through my ears and my heart tears in two just as my body is ripped from the latter.

I yell and kick at the person holding me blinded by rage knowing that just above my head, that f****** was hurting the most important thing in my life.

As I fight whoever’s holding me back not hearing a word they murmur to me, the loud sound of splintering wood causes me to freeze.

The person refraining me realises my body and shoves me towards the opening. I push myself away and practically throw my body up threw the hole, flinging out my gun.

The sight I see upon entering the attic chills me to the bone and anger like I’ve never felt it before runs through my body.

Blaine stands in front of me, his pants dropped, a bloodied and battered Harmony on her knees at his feet begging him with a waterfall of tears flowing door her bruised and bloodied face.

Her head snaps towards me as I fly in her eyes nearly popping out of her skull. I stare at her in horror seeing her naked, her breasts bloodied and cut, harsh purple bruises line every spot in sight on her fair skin, unable to see anything else. My head snaps towards Blaine and without even thinking twice, I raise my gun.

“I wouldn’t do that if I were you Drew” Blaine snickers nodding Harmony at his feet, “Not if you want her to die”

My eyes widen and my heart stops yet again. I stare at the blade pressed crosswise to Harmony’s chest, just below her breast and just above her heart.

If he were to cut her there, it would be instant death. Rage floods through my face at how close his nasty hands are to where only mine should be.

Harmony weeps louder, “Please Drew, get out, don’t get hurt”

I pay no attention to her: there’s no way in hell I’m leaving.

“What do you want Blaine?” I choke holding in my anger.

Blaine waves me off, “Nothing too major, her blood that’s it”

I tremble with wrath wanting to wrap my hands around his throat and squeeze until he’s beyond dead.

“Why?” I roar my gun still raised to his head.

Cunningly I raise it higher until it meets him between the eyes. If I pull the trigger, I won’t miss. He’ll be in Hell and Harmony will be safe. Unless of course he jumps out of the way…

“For getting away, for telling people. I can’t afford to go to jail Drew” Blaine says shaking his head feigning grief and counting off the two things on his fingers.

I snort in repulsion, “See I’d understand that if anyone else BUT you said that to my f******* face. But too bad for you, I don’t” I hiss, “You raped her that’s enough blood and that deserves prison for life. She told no one and yet it looks to me that still there’s no way your getting out of here alive or not in jail”

Blaine cackles, “Oh but you don’t seem to comprehend Drew, she doesn’t love you, she’s never under any circumstances loved you, she’s always loved me. In fact, I wouldn’t be surprised if she was carrying my kid”

Harmony’s sobs grow louder and fiercer. I can’t keep my feet glued to the floor anymore. I dive forward, knocking Harmony out of harm’s way and fire directly at his head. Blaine dodges out of the way and produces a gun from his pocket.

A wicked grin spreads across his features and he too fires. I keep my body positioned protectively in front of Harmony firing my gun frequently. Blaine laughs and circles me having the upper hand. I won’t move from the floor. Circling Harmony’s wounded body on my knees I keep my eyes locked firmly to Blaine watching his every move waiting for him to slip up.

There was no way I’m going to let him hurt her anymore then he already has.

I shoot again and stupidly glance over my shoulder Harmony cowering on the floor behind me. Blaine takes this split second to fire a shot that rips through my shoulder. I cry out in pain and squeeze my eyes shut.

“DREW” Harmony cries.

She springs from the floor fast enough for me to not have any time to grab her. She shoves her face into Blaine and spits, “You sick son of a bitch”

She throws her small body at him and knocks the gun free from his grasp with her knee. She starts kicking him with all she has in her and throws blind punches left and right as her jet black hair whips her in the face. Even though my shoulder is searing with pain, I pick myself up from the floor.

Harmony is way more important then a damn shoulder.

At that instant, Blaine seizes the knife from his boot and drives it through Harmony’s side, yanking it down violently before throwing her body at the far wall. I can’t see anymore or hear anything else because of the fury I feel.

With his back to me, Blaine approaches Harmony raising his glinting knife to stab it through her heart. I shoot him without stopping until bullets are no longer coming from my gun and my gun clicks every time I pull the trigger.

Out of ammo.

Blaine chokes on his blood and turns to face me, shock written on his face. The carving knife slips from his grip as he claws at the bleeding punctures in his chest. He gapes at me and drops to the floor on his knees. I scowl at him and press the gun to the flesh between his eyes.

Blaine starts laughing suddenly spitting blood all over my face and with all of his lingering power; he grabs the knife from beside his knee and thrusts it into my lower chest.

I intake a ragged breath in pain and pull the trigger as Harmony’s whimper of heartbreak gradually registers in my mind. Blaine’s body pitches forward. I step out of the way, throwing my gun at his limp body.

“Drew” A gurgled whimper sounds in the quiet of the room.

I stagger over to Harmony dropping to my knees beside her. I pull her gently into my arms and press my hands to the bleeding gash on her side, trying desperately to keep it from bleeding. Harmony does the same thing; compressing her small cold hands to my lower stomach; she tries to maintain pressure to the wound.

I gaze down at her tear streaked and bloodied and beaten face groaning in pain as I raise my free hand to cup her cheek. I rub my thumb above her skin afraid to touch it.

“I’m so-“Harmony gasps in a breath.

I shush her shaking my head with great difficulty.

“Save your breath Peaches” I rasp breathing heavily.

Harmony’s eyes fill with tears and they spill out from her eyes leaking down her face leaving trails in the dirt and blood smeared along her beautiful features.

“I l-l-lo” Harmony struggles for oxygen her body shaking.

My eyes fill tears at the sight of her in pain and me unable to stop it. I shake my head as I watch her fade away.

“Don’t –“I breathe, “Don’t leave”

Harmony’s smile is one filled with heartbreak and hurting. She takes a huge breath and realises a strangled sob. She presses harder to my bleeding wound and I can feel myself slowly slipping although in my lap, I know Harmony’s dying.

Glancing down I see another puddle of blood forming where Harmony’s legs are. I stare at her face in shock and press two fingers tenderly to her bloody core. Harmony whimpers and clutches onto my chest.

“He did?” I whimper, “Harmony he didn’t” I plead.

Harmony shakes her head and grabs my hand between her legs holding onto it feebly.

“L-Love y-y-you” She wheezes, her eyes fluttering open and closed, before closing finally.

“No” I say shaking my head as tears spill over, “No, No, NO! HARMONY NO”

I press my lips to her fading ones in a desperate plight to make her open her blue eyes. My tears fall to her face as I cradle her broken body in my arms.

“HARMONY” I wail, “COME BACK, HELP, SASSY, IAN PLEASE”

With no more pressure on my wound I feel myself go groggy. I continue to shout and cry for Harmony not to leave me when just as I feel my eyes drift close sirens shriek in the distance and the sounds of boots running along the paneling of the house sound dulled from my resting spot in the attic.

I see at least three paramedics break through the crack I came through and hustle towards us. I shove their hands away weakly and try to push them towards Harmony.

“No, No” I beg, “Help her, help her, not me”

Then my eyes close and I make sure to keep my hand holding tightly onto Harmony’s limp one. In my mind I pray to the God I hope is up there, begging him to save her life. Hoping he’ll heal her.

There you go! The chapter you were all waiting for. :) This was really hard to write as I haven't done many violent scenes, but I really liked doing it. How'd I do? Lol, just want to know to see if you guys want me to write an action story or something.

To those of you who are wondering, no, this story is not over yet. It's coming close. Unfortunately I wanted to finish this before summer break officially started so I could start the second Living With book but it's not so you'll have to wait a little longer for the Second book. There's at least three more chapters until this is over -the ending is the part I've been super excited to write. I'll finally be able to get the idea in my head out in words!! :)

If any of you are probably confused about who was holding Drew back, it'll be explained later. I don't want to tell y'all in this chapter, too much happened.

Song on the side is I wanna grow old with you by Westlife :) Lovely song and I think it fits the chapter a little bit.

Picture on the side is the attic that it all went down in.

***Readers of The First Time I Saw Her I Was Stuck** I've got good news about un up coming sequel and a special surprise that'll come with it. Hopefully you'll like it. :)

Comment -If you want Harmony to live or not ;)

Like -You know you want to :)

Fan -Only if you like my writing :P

Good night and big balls (From wipeout to those of you who asked)
