《The Gifted ( +1 Megan )》The Question
Advertisement
It had been four days since Megan joined the Gifted program, but she hadn't made any progress on figuring out why she was there.
"Was it something about the last question?" Megan asked Ohm. Both of them were slumped over one of the tables in the library.
"Like, the one on the back of the answer sheet? The 'natural selection' question?" Ohm asked.
"Yeah. The paper had the Gifted logo."
"Oh, I didn't even notice that!" Ohm exclaimed. "That was a loud noise during the test, wasn't it."
"Yeah........" Megan trailed off. She got up and headed back towards the Gifted section.
"Where are you going?" Ohm called.
"To get some more books!" Megan replied. She scanned the shelves, looking for something in particular. Then, she found what she was looking for. Books on sound. She pulled a few off the shelf and brought them back to the table.
For the next week, Megan spent all her free time reading up on sound. Most of what she found was talking about how sound stimulation could help treat Alzheimer's and other similar issues. It wasn't quite what she was looking for, but she felt like she was on to something.
Or, of course, it could have just been an issue with the speakers.
"Why don't you ask a few people what they answered for the last question?" Ohm remarked on afternoon, while Megan was close to falling asleep. She sat straight up, suddenly full of energy.
"Great idea! You're coming with me," Megan said, pulling Ohm out of his chair. He groaned.
"Why can't I just stay here?"
"Because it's your assignment too. Come on."
However, after asking around for almost an hour, they discovered that no student outside of the Gifted Program was aware that there was an essay question.
"Do we have super hearing or something?" Ohm asked.
"Who knows? I'm not sure anything could surprise me when it comes to the Gifted Program," Megan replied. "Anyway, we can discuss this with Mr. Pom during the Program tomorrow. I wonder what the other students came up with."

CODEX
The call of adventure was prevalent in Eric's mind since he was a fledgling of a boy. He loved exploring new places so much, that he happened upon a magical tome in a cave he found when he wandered around his neighbourhood. And from this tome, manifested the ghost of a dead sorceress who made a home in his mind. And so began his journey in becoming a legendary mage; and also a royal pain in the ass. NB: Just a side project made purely for fun! HIGHLY EXPERIMENTAL. NO PLOT! Well, maybe a little plot. Okay, it has more plot than I first intended for it to have. An original fiction of the Isekai sort, people being sent to another world. I go back in time and send my whole classroom into the other world, as heroes, it might be overly biased and not make a lot of sense in a few parts, I wrote it in a hurry long ago, so enjoy, 1 chapter per day.

Heartbreak Town (COMPLETED)
Reagan Renne Walker left the tiny town that she grew up in in Wyoming five years ago to fulfill her dream of opening an equine therapy ranch in Montana & to start a new life. Reagan's parents died when she was just seven years old. Mallory, Reagan's older sister, was still too young to care for both herself and her sister. As a result, Reagan and Mallory were forced to live with their grandparents. Mamaw and Papaw Walker sent both girls through school and college. Reagan never imagined leaving Wyoming. However, after her unexpected relationship with Swayde, her childhood best friend, and love of her life, took a turn for the worst, all Reagan could think about was that she couldn't get out of Wyoming fast enough. Swayde is your typical, rugged cowboy. His smile was enough to melt any girls heart, his eyes made it seem like the sun was always shining, even in the worst storm, his square jaw line accented his dark beard, his body thick with muscles. His physical features and build were intimidating at times, and didn't always match his laid back, easy going, gentlemanly personality. Swayde never thought he would fall for feisty Reagan, and even more so, Reagan never thought that she would fall for him. They end up in this unexpected whirlwind relationship, and everything is hunky dory until Reagan finds out a secret from Swayde's past that would forever change the way she looked at him; a secret he kept from her for over ten years. Confiding in her grandma, Reagan finds out that her grandparents knew the secret all along too. How could the people she thought loved her hurt her so bad and keep this big of a secret from her for so long? When tragedy strikes back in Wyoming, Reagan is forced to move back to the town she swore she would never step boot in again, thus leaving her new life in Montana behind. Through God, can Reagan find a way to forgive the people who hurt her, or will she forever consider Alpine Ridge "Heartbreak Town?"
