《Destroying The Plot》Chapter Eleven

the words coming out of Niklaus's mouth or the tell tale tingling on my right shoulder.
'Mine' He growled again at me and I could feel my stomach erupt in butterflies.
Stupid mate bond.
Niklaus of all people, I mean don't get me wrong I absolutely love him but I always wanted him to be with Caroline.
I slowly get up much to the dislike of my other mates and I walk over to Niklaus.
I can see the vulnerability in his eyes and the worry that I'm going to reject him.
I could never do that to him.
I wrap my arms around his waist and give him a hug, sighing in contentment.
Five down, one to go.
'But seriously of all guys' I hear Damon scoff and I turn around to give him a glare.
'Niklaus is my mate and you shall have to accept that as he is apart of my life now' I tell them sternly, particularly looking at Elijah and Damon as I know they aren't his biggest fans.
They all sigh begrudgingly and give me a nod of understanding so I turn back to Niklaus to find him looking at me with so much warmth.
'I really thought you were going to reject me, my little hybrid' He softly whispers to me.
'Never Niklaus' I tell him happily, 'now let's do this ritual'
I take his hand and lead him over to the fireplace, I summon the doppelgängers vial of blood and a bowl.
'I'm going to cut your hand okay?' I ask him and he just nods his head in response.
I summon a knife and I press it into his hand, wincing at the hiss of pain he makes.
Now for the part I didn't tell them about.
'Wait Little One, you know you can't-'

Shit Cass knows.
I quickly cast a spell to create a shield so the others can't get in to stop me.
'Little hybrid what does he mean?' Niklaus asks me suspiciously.
I don't respond and I quickly create and fireball from the fireplace.
By this time Cass is banging on the shield and is chanting to dismantle it so I know I don't have long.
I mix the blood in the bowl and hold the fireball over it.
Quickly saying the spell, a tsunami of pain strikes at me and I fall to the ground.
The shield drops and Cass rushes over to me with my mates in tow.
'Little One, you should've told me!' Castiel shouts at me and I flinch at his anger. It reminds me of me of my old life.
He sees my flinch and sorrow flashes across his face.
'What did she do?' Niklaus growls at Cass.
Of all my mates I didn't think he would be the first to speak up.
'The doppelgängers blood was such a large power source for the spell that she had to swap it for something. Little Crystal has elemental powers, she gave up one of her elements as a power source. Fire was her favourite' Cass sadly explains and I can feel myself starting to get drowsy.
'Elskan!'
'Little Hybrid!'
'Love!'
'Angel!'
'Minnow!'
That's the first time Jeremy has ever given me an endearment, I smile up at him and he gives me a sheepish smile.
'Minnow?' I question with a small laugh.
'Yeah...you know Crystal Waters, fish swim in the water....I can choose something else if you want' he starts stuttering and scratching the back of his neck.
He is too adorable.
'Can we get back to the point here' Enzo lowly snarls, 'Our mate gave up one of her powers for you to become a hybrid'

Everyone looks at Niklaus and I feel bad for him.
I get up with Jere's help and go to stand by Niklaus's side.
'Everyone lay off Niklaus. I wanted to do this for him, this was my decision and you have to respect that. Maybe I could've found a way around it but I wanted to do it sooner rather than later' I tell them firmly and I leave them in the living room while Niklaus follows behind me.
'You didn't have to do that you know?' He softly says to me as I head upstairs.
'I know Niklaus but you're my mate and I'm always going to support you' I smile at him.
He pulls me into a massive hug and I feel warmth bloom in my heart.
'You can call me Nik love' He whispers in my ear, tickling me with his breath.
I'm about to respond when I feel darkness enclose me and I feel the world beneath me spin.
'Crystal!'
Where am I?
This looks oddly familiar.
I'm in a house that I remember but can't put my finger on it.
'Who the hell are you?!'
I spin around to come face to face with no other than Kai Parker.
Shit, he's going to kill me.
'Ummm I'm Crystal...please don't kill me' I quietly beg as I slowly back up.
'Why don't I want to kill you? Why do I want to give you a massive hug instead?' He asks me confused and I see his eyes narrow in suspicion.
It could be that....maybe that's why I'm here.
'Do you have a soulmark?' I ask him quietly, I feel like if I make one wrong move that he could blow up like a bomb.
'I do but why does it matter?' He asks, his eyes still narrowed and a knife suddenly in his hand.
I don't feel any tingling but it would make sense...maybe it needs to be physical contact like with Stefan?
'Just take my hand for a moment.' I tell him, moving close to him.
'Why should I trust you?' He asks again suspiciously but he comes closer nonetheless.
'Because I could be your only chance of getting out of here' I tell him quickly before grabbing onto his hand and feeling a familiar tingling go through me.
'Mate' We both gasp.
I wake up in Damon's room gasping. I look around for someone and I see Kai standing in front of me in shock.
'I'm out' He whispers.
He lunges onto the bed and wraps me in his arms.
'Thank you so much' He says running his hands through my hair.
'Always' I whisper. 'Always and forever'
