After my dream about Cole and my mother I decided to go for a walk in the woods to clear my head. Despite the reservations my mates had, I told them I would be fine and went on my way.

Stefan broke up with Elena because of his soulmark and I was quite surprised to be honest. I think I know who it is though and I can't wait to find out.

I'd been out here for an hour and it was just starting to lightly rain.

A twig snapped behind me and I saw Alaric emerging from the trees.

'What do you want Niklaus?' I asked tiredly.

A look of shock crosses his face at my knowledge of his true identity but I just brush it off with a wave of my hand.

'Niklaus, speak'

'I followed you here and I was going to kidnap you as a bargaining chip.' He confesses and I'm surprised at how honest he's being.

'Well sorry to disappoint but that's not going to happen' I growl lightly.

He narrows his eyes and I see a witch come out behind him, she starts chanting and I feel pressure on my head.

'Please, you have to do better than that' I scoff at them.

I twist my wrist and the witch's neck instantly gets snapped. I then use my elemental magic to create a ball of boiling water and I throw it at Niklaus while I teleport away.

Little One, I sense a presence.

Who is it?

I fear that someone may have resurrected your brother.

What?! He died? After all I did to protect him.

Go to the old boarding house. Now!

I teleport away instantly and I see my brothers body lying on the ground.

'Cole!' I scream, all the memories of us together come rushing back.

'No please, I need you alive. I need my little brother' I sob, running over to him.

He's extremely pale and has a very weak pulse when I check.

I grab his hand and I teleport us over to the Boarding house. I scream for my mates and they come rushing down from upstairs with Elena and Bonnie in tow.

'Help him please' I cry.

Jeremy and Enzo slowly lift me away, while Elijah and Damon try to figure what's wrong with my brother.

'Elskan who is this boy?' Elijah asks softly.

I look up at him with tears pouring down my face and say -

'He's my brother'

I watch that stupid Crystal girl sob in my brothers arms and I feel jealously swarm over me at how much attention she's getting.

Suddenly Elijah stands up and I can tell by the serious expression on his face that's its not good news.

Hopefully that bitch will leave.

'He's a vampire elskan.' Elijah gently tells her.

A vampire?

So I can kill him if I say he was going to attack me?

'What? How?!' Little Miss oh I'm so powerful and I steal people's boyfriends sobs.

'Why don't I take him over to see Caroline? She can teach him how to be a vampire' I say in a fake nice voice.

Crystal Cow gives me a nod and Stefan helps me lift her brother into the car. He's actually quite good looking, it's too bad I want him to die.

I drive him over to Caroline's and I quickly explain who he is to her, she says she'll teach him but for now we just have to wait for him to wake up.

Now all I need to do is work out how to kill him then goodbye Crystal and hello Salvatore brothers.

I couldn't believe my brother was back, surprisingly Elena offered to take him to Caroline and I agreed because I knew that Caroline would take care of him.

I've been waiting nervously for ages to hear from my brother but so far there's nothing.

Suddenly my phone rings and I quickly pick it up.

Hey big sis.

Hey who other brothers do you have?

Mom got me, this guy call Luci sent me here as a present for you.

I know it's so weird.

I'm in this old warehouse by the Grill, practicing my speed with Elena.

She was really nice to me and offered to help.

Uh oh this can't be good.

'Jeremy, I'm going out' I call out to him. My other mates are out hunting and I don't want to disturb them.

'Do you want me to come with?' He says coming down the stairs.

'No I should be okay but I'll call you if I need you. I'm just going to see Cole' I tell him with a small smile.

I hug him goodbye and quickly hop into my car, it doesn't take me long but I soon make it to the warehouse.

'Cole?' I call out.

I get no response so I go up the stairs to the next floor.

I see Cole whizzing around and he stops when he sees me. I run over to him and I give him a massive hug, he spins me around laughing.

'I've missed you baby bro' I tell him softly after he sets me down.

'I've missed you too big sis' he tells me with a soft smile on his face.

I hear movement behind him and we spin around to find Elena behind Cole with a stake in her hand.

'Say goodbye to your bitch sister' she maniacally says.

I freeze when I see her and she stakes Cole through the heart then runs towards the stairs.

'Cole no!!' I cry out.

I use my magic and freeze Elena in her place as I watch my little brother grey as he dies.

I can't believe I've let him get hurt again. I promised him I wouldn't let him get hurt, I promised!

I hug his dead body as I cry the most I've ever cried in my life.

Cass you have to bring him back, please Cass!

I...I can't do anything. I'm so sorry Little One.

'Cass please!' I cry out loud.

I feel my control over my magic failing and Elena gets released from my spell. She runs out of the building and I can hear her phoning Damon but I don't care.

I just want Cole back.

The ground starts shaking and I care hear lighting outside.

It starts growing hotter and hotter until I care feel the burn of the fire ball behind me.

'Cole come back to me, I'm sorry I didn't keep you safe. Please!' I whisper to his dead body as the roar of the inferno grows louder.

Crystal, he's dead. I'm sorry.

'No!'

I'm out hunting with Enzo and Elijah when I get a call from the doppelgänger.

Damon help me please, Crystals brother attacked me. I need help. I heard then conspiring against you, you can't trust them Damon.

Please Damon!

I hang up sighing and I look at the other two who have narrowed expressions. I know they heard every word of the conversation and I know they don't believe it.

'Let's Go' I sigh.

We vamp speed over there to find lightening striking down everywhere and the ground shaking.

Elena's standing outside with a small smile on her face that instantly disappears when she sees me.

'Damon it's Crystal, help me!' She whines at me.

I ignore her and start to go into the building with Enzo and Elijah not far behind me, when fire bursts out of the building.

'Crystal!' I yell in fear, worried that my mate is dead before I've enough got to know her properly.

'Damon no! Stay with me' Elena tries to pull me away but I shrug her off, accidentally too hard, she falls to the ground but I couldn't care less.

The ground stops shaking suddenly and the lightening clears up instantly.

I see a figure walking out of the building, carrying a body bridal style.

'Crystal?' I whisper in fear.

The figure comes closer and I see it's a male carrying Crystal.

He comes up to me, Enzo and Elijah with a grave expression on his face.

'Who the bloody hell are you?' Enzo asks in disbelief, while Elijah growls at another male holding our mate.
