《The Godfather {Being Edited}》¤Chapter Forty-One¤

Euphoria placed back and forth in the living room. She was trying to make sense of what she had discovered but couldn't. It just kept leading to more and more questions. She was heavily confused.
"I don't have a sister." Euphoria whispered to herself. "Let alone a fučking twin?" She stopped pacing and faced the woman who stood uncomfortably in the living room. "How the fučk are we twins? We can't be."
"I was as shocked as you were." The girl mumbled.
Euphoria took a deep breath. "Paula right?" The woman nodded. "Let's get you cleaned up and comfortable. You must be tired from spending the night in an interrogation room I have a few clothes you can borrow. After you take a shower and eat we'll have to speak about this."
Paula nodded. "Ok."
"Ok." Euphoria blew a breath. "Demetrius will be here by the time you come down."
Paula shook her head at her as she waved her arms frantically. Euphoria frowned. "No? Demetrius is a good guy. Not what-"
Paula lifted her shirt up and placed her finger against her lips. Euphoria's eyes hardened at the listening devices attached to her. "Not what the media makes him out to be. He's a big teady bear." Euphoria stated in a cheerful voice but her eyes remained the same. "Come on let me show you to your room."
Euphoria led Paula to her a room on the second floor. It was the first one near the stairs. "I'll have Katrina bring over a few clothes for you. Just pass me that." Euphoria indicated towards the listening devices. "And this one." Euphoria pointed to her ear.
"You know, to whomever may be listening, it is extremely illegal to spy and listen in on someone conversation. With that being said I will be suing whoever you are and make sure that you'll be sorry."
Euphoria left Paula's room and found Edward outside waiting with the other gaurd Dave. "Edward sweetheart can you please go give this to the pigs that are probably down the street from here listening to people's private matters."
"Yes ma'am." Edwards nodded before taking the devices from her.
"Becareful not to drop the ear piece." Euphoria told him as she placed it on his palm.

"Twin?" Demetrius frowned at the revelation.
"That's what I was think but if you could see her she looks exactly like me Demetrius. The same honey brown eyes, nose, hair, lips and even ears." Euphoria exclaimed throwing her hands up.
"But I thought you said she was your aunt Melissa's kid."
"That's what David Daniels told me." Euphoria huffed.
"Weren't there pictures that you were looking at of her? Didn't you see it then."

"Honestly I had such a long day that day all I did was skim though some of the pages. I didn't go far because the jealous and envious feelings were eating me alive." Euphoria admitted.
"Come here." Demetrius pulled her in his arms. "We will get through this. As crazy and unexplainable this is we will get through this alright? I'm here for you."
"Why do I have so much drama. At this point I'm a living, breath, walking telo-novela." Euphoria groaned aloud.
Demetrius chuckled at her dramatics. "If it makes you feel any better you're the only telo-novela I've ever watched in my whole life."
Euphoria giggled. "I don't think that's supposed to make anyone feel better."
"You giggled so I'm pretty sure that I make you feel a little bit better."
"Just a little bit." Euphoria made a pinch sign with her finger as she tip toed and pecked his lips.
Demetrius gripped the base of her neck gently and deepened the once innocent peck. Euphoria bit his lip as she pulled away and giggled as he groaned. "You always do that."
"It's not my fault that you're so amazing."
Euphoria scrunched up her nose. "That was too corny."
Demetrius chuckled. "And you love me for it."
Euphoria swallowed as she stared deep into his eyes. She had been hoping for him to reciprocate the feelings to her but he never once said anything since that one night. In fear of rejection she never brought it up. Euphoria couldn't seem to swallow the thought of rejection but at the same time she had to get her answer in order to know where this relationship was heading. After spending so much time with him and his family, she wanted nothing more than for her to be officially apart of the family. She felt so safe and at home when surround by them.
"Yes I do love you for it. And I love you for far more things than your corniness. I love you for you Demetrius D'Agostino." Euphoria said staring deep into his eyes.
Demetrius pecked her lips. "Do you know how long I've been waiting for you to say that?"
"What the fučk do you mean?" Euphoria frowned. " I did say it to you that other night and you didn't say it back or say anything to me there after. If anything, I'm waiting for you to say it."
"Calm down mio regina." Demetrius chuckled. "I wanted you to say it without using the high of sex to gain the courage to say it."
Euphoria kissed her teeth as she crossed her arms. "You still could've said something you know?"
"No need for pouting." He gave her a sweet kiss. "I love you too Euphoria Kreek."

Euphoria grinned wide from ear to ear as she threw her arms around him."You love me." She sang teasingly with an earth shattering grin.
"And you love me." He countered.
"But you still love me." Euphoria continued to sing.
"You guys are cute." A new voice entered their little bubble.
They both turned to see Paula entering the living room. She wore well fitted jeans with a cropped sweater and socks. Her hair was done into four rows of cornrows.
"She really does look like you." Demetrius muttered to himself.
"Thank you. Come on lunch is set and ready for us." Euphoria and began to lead her to the dinning room with Demetrius trailing behind them both.
Demetrius used this time to compare them. Euphoria was definitely thicker than Paula. Paula had more of an athletic build to her body, almost tomboy-ish. They were both the same in height and the only similarities in hair was probably the type. Demetrius remembered the lecture that he had received about women's hair types especially women of colours hair types from her. He said something about all hair being the same and Euphoria lost it. Demetrius never said something similar ever again.
Euphoria's ašs was defenaitly rounder than Paula's. If anything it seemed to have gotten rounder over the passed month and a half Demetrius thought to himself as he studied her ašs much closer. He made a mental reminder to examine her body later on to confirm whether his observation was due to him being horny at the moment or not.
"Are you done?" Euphoria asked him with an arched brow.
"I have no idea what you're talking about tesoro." Demetrius shrugged as he pulled out chairs for both women.
After they were all seated they began to eat. Well... Paula mainly scuffed down her meal while they are at a steady pace. "I'm sorry don't mind my current manners. I haven't eaten in two days." Paula stated with a light blush before continuing to inhale her food.
"Don't worry about it." Euphoria waved off.
After they had finished up with their meals Demetrius had led the women into the living room. Euphoria stated that she wanted them comfortable and nothing formal so the living room was the next best thing.
"So Paula, how exactly are we twins and how do you know this ?"
"Well after my 'dad' died my 'mom' got pissed at the fact that he left most of his assets to me and you of course. She went on raving about it. She even tried to bribe Mr. Daniels to let me sign on your behalf. Obviously Mr. Daniels knew something that I didn't and threatened to go to the cops about something which made my 'mom' step off. Straight after that meeting I packed all my stuff and tried to leave, but my 'mom' started crying and it's not a pretty sight watching old people cry. So I stayed. She started saying all this random shít, drinking a whole lot and trying to make me claim your money but I didn't want it. I had enough she had enough. My 'dad' believed it was enough then it must've been enough." Paula let out a breath. "One night she got so drunk and I don't even remember what entirely happened but she slapped me. I pushed her away and I remember asking her what kind of mother was she. That's when she laughed and told me the truth. The truth of her being infertile and practically begging your mom for one of us. Apparently she pretended to be pregnant and your mom pretended to only have one baby even. They came up with this whole Scheme of not having our fathers around the time of the birth, claiming we're born on the same day by coincidence. I don't know how they pulled it off by but they did. I left after that and quickly made a beeline for New York. My luggage got lost at the airport and someone stole my purse. That's how I landed up at the precinct two days ago. I wanted to warn you of Melissa Kreek. Don't listen to any of the bullshit she has to say. It's all lies. All she's after is the money and it you don't believe me I'm more than happy to go for a DNA test."
Euphoria sat back as she tried to digest all the information. "You didn't have to come tell me all of this but you did, why?"
"Because I wanted to meet my twin sister. It's weird to think that all my life I was only child, I believed that I was an only child, only to find out one day that I have a twin sister."
Euphoria released a breath. "What fučked up family did I have?"
"I wonder the same thing?" Paula huffed.
"Do you know if she's working with someone?" Demetrius asked after he'd been quiet for some time.
"I don't know names but it's a man and woman." Paula replied.
"Why did you agree to have them strap you at the precinct?"
"I didn't. They said I had to do it if I didn't want to be charged with obstruction f justice and interference with an investigation."
"What investigation?" Euphoria frowned.
"They've got files and folders dedicated to the D'Agostino empire even a whole board room filled with most activities that you've part took in dating back to seven months ago from what I could see."
"Fučk."

8 131Demonizing Matters
A high fantasy drama about a young woman who finds out a demon secret. This secret sparks a growing conflict between demons and humans. While trying to save her own life and dealing with the unexpected consequences of her actions, she falls in love with a hated demon. We follow the drama of Lita, alongside a cast of several other POV characters, as she discovers secrets (both open and purposefully hidden), makes well intentioned but sometimes disastrous decisions, and encounters prejudices and truths. Demons may be evil… or not. Humans may be good… or not. God is aloof… or not. Publishing every Monday, Wednesday and Friday. This is my first real work! Super excited to be publishing! I don’t spend a lot of time describing gore, sex, trauma or any other type of scene that would be labeled as mature. I've labeled the story as mature in every way more because I don't quite understand the standard and don't know if I've crossed the line at all (and I'd rather be safe than get my story rejected for under labeling ;)). Mostly I hint, start the scene then interrupt/fade out, and in general let the reader know it happens but without making it too explicit. (I’d love to hear how I did on this! And if it was still entertaining/informative without being traumatizing.) This is what I prefer to read myself so that’s what I write. I’m not apologizing. ;) If I mislabeled my mature content it was by accident. And, yes, the pacing was also on purpose. Beyond that, I welcome any feedback you want to give! Enjoy the story!
