《The Godfather {Being Edited}》¤Chapter Six¤

Euphoria bounced in her seat as she waited for Demetrius to park the car. He had decided to drive for the day and his reason to her was that he wanted them to spend time alone together. His fancy sports car had her gawking at him as he drove smoothly. But, as of now for the first time she was looking anywhere besides at him.
"You brought me to an amusement park." She couldn't help but squeal. "I've always wanted to go to one."
"You've never been?"
"No." She shook her head. "My parents couldn't afford it and when I went into foster care I never got adopted." She shrugged looking out.
"I'm glad to be the first to bring you." He said before getting out and walking around to open the door.
Euphoria was too scared to open the door. It opened up like a butterfly and she didn't want to break it. She took his hand and smiled at him. Once he'd locked the car and handed the keys to one of the guards they made their way to the entrance.
Once they had gotten their wrist bands. Demetrius had told her that they'd do anything that she wanted to do. Euphoria couldn't help but to drag him around to play various games and go on many rides together. She was glad that he participated with her. Demetrius had won her a giant teady bear that he'd named Unicorn, since she let a little girl have the last unicorn that she wanted, and she'd won him a medium sized monkey that she named Captain Bananas.
"Ugh stop being so boujie." Euphoria laughed. "It's just a hotdog."
Demetrius scrunched up his face in distaste. "What if we get food poisoning?"
"Then this place wouldn't be here." She shook her head. "Hi can I have four hotdogs with bacon bits, mixed cheese jalapenos on two and onions on the other two." She ordered. "Do you eat jalapenos?"

"No. Spicy food and I don't agree." He shook his head.
Euphoria smiled at her correct assumption. "While I wait for the hotdogs why don't you go and get us fries and a table?"
"You're sure you'll be fine?" Demetrius had been paying extra attention to her that she wasn't quiet used to and had her flustered and flattered half the time.
"Yes I'm sure now go." She giggled. When was the last time I giggled at a man?
"What toppings do you want on your fries?"
"Mayo and barbeque sauce."
He gave a nod before he left with one of his gaurds and left her with the other two. There were more gaurds around the area and Euphoria couldn't help but be reminded of his importance and just how bad he is. How can someone who's deemed to be so bad, be so kind hearted, attentive and silly?
"You're order sweetheart." The guy before her winked at her.
"Thank you." She simply said taking the trey as one of the guards paid for it and the other escorted her away from the man.
It had been that way all day. Whenever a man would approach her or flirt with her while Demetrius wasn't near by they'd escort her away from him and go to wherever Demetrius was. He'd only step away to take a business call. At some point Euphoria suggested going home since one of his business calls had gone on for about twenty minutes. She thought they needed him while he was here with her. Demetrius promised her to not have a call run for more than five minutes so they would continue their date. Euphoria was a bit hesitant because she didn't want to keep him away from his work but agreed when Demetrius wouldn't let up.
"Thank you for today." She smiled at him once they'd finished their food. "I had so much fun."

"My pleasure." He nodded at her with a smirk on his face. "Are you ready to leave?"
"No there's one last thing I want to do." She grinned at him.
"Oh?" He titled his head slightly. "That being? We've played every game and gone on every ride here."
"C'mon." She took his hand in hers. "Now where did I last see it." She stopped and looked around. "Oh down this way." She pulled him.
"A photo booth?" He quirked his brow.
"Yes. For memories." She nodded enthusiastically.
"I'm not a picture type of man." Demetrius stated staring at the booth.
"Oh c'mon please." She held his hand and stared up at him giving him her best puppy eyes as she tucked out her bottom lip slightly. "Please, please, please Demetrius."
Demetrius stared at her for a moment. Before looking at his gaurds who looked away with slight smirks on their faces. He knew he wasn't going to hear the end of it after this.
"Ok fine."
"Yay!" He let her drag him into the photo booth.
It started taking pictures and all he could do was stare at her as she made faces. Once it was done she faced him. "Stop staring at me like a creep and smile."
"I don't smile." He shook his head.
"Oh c'mon please." She grinned at him as the machine started all over again. "All you have to do is look straight," she turned his head to face forward. "Then smile." She put her index fingers at the corners of his lips and drew them upwards. "See." She smiled cheekily.
Demetrius looked back at her. "I'm certain that your hands will show up on my face in the picture." He drew her hands back.
Euphoria pouted slightly and she heard the all too familiar click of the picture. "One smile." He held up on finger to show her.
She grinned and nodded eagerly before turning to smile at the camera while he did the same. Demetrius turned around and turned her head to look at him. "You have a panty dropper smile." The words spilled out before she could stop them.
Demetrius chuckled as she began to shy away from him. "You have a beautiful smile Euphoria."
"Thank you Demetrius." She smiled at him. "Ok the machine is done we can go now."
Demetrius held her hand as they exited the booth she quickly grabbed the four strips then followed behind him. He had led them to an awaiting SUV while the gaurd went towards his car. Once situated Euphoria smiled at the items they got from the amausement park.
"Wait did you get these customized?" Euphoria more stated rather than asked noticing that her her big brown teddy bear had both their names switched on the foot of the bear and the same with the monkey. "How and When?"
"I gave it to one of the guards to go get it done." Demetrius shrugged.
"That's so sweet." She grinned. "Look at you being all cute." She teased as she let out a giggled.
"I'm not cute. Handsome? Yes. Cute? No."
"Sure." She laughed before yawning.
"Tired?" He asked her making her hum out an answer as she leaned against the door. Demetrius scooped her up and placed her on his lap. "Sleep Bella, I'll wake you up when we get to you're apartment."
"Ok." Euphoria could barely bring herself to argue with him for placing her on his shoulder. She was far beyond tired from all the activities that they had done during the day.

The Legion of Nothing
Nick Klein is your average high school geek--if you can still count as average when your grandfather is a retired superhero, and you've been trained in the martial arts by his friend, a mysterious, immortal mercenary. After his grandfather dies, Nick inherits the last version of the Rocket suit, powered armor that allows him to shrug off bullets, smash through walls, and manipulate sound. Along with it comes the base of his grandfather's superhero team including the team's jet and trophies from forty years of fighting criminals and aliens. Together, Nick and his friends, descendants of his grandfather's teammates, attempt to bring back a superhero team that was originally formed during World War 2. Along the way they'll face the normal problems of high school (bullies, homework, and dating), and the less normal problems like supervillians and mysteries leftover from their grandparents' past. As a story, it uses the conventions of all eras of comics from the 1940s on, ranging from serious to silly. If you're hoping for a grim and gritty story, this isn't it.
