Euphoria swallowed and moved away slightly from him. "If it's about that night I swear I didn't tell anyone about it. Including Tasha." She spoke in one breath.
Demetrius stared at her before his lip slightly quirked upwards. "I know you didn't do that Bella." His face remained stoic.
"Really? How?" Her eyes enlarged.
"Yes." He nodded. "You seem like a smart girl."
"Oh, ok then." She nodded releasing a breath. "So what is your important question?"
"I wanted to ask if I could court you tomorrow?"
"Court?" Euphoria asked as she tried to suppress the giggles that unfortunately slipped out.
"Yes, court." He smirked as he looked at her. "What's so funny?"
"Nobody says court anymore." She let her giggles slip through. "They say date now-a-days."
"Ah, of course. A date." He smirked at her.
"Wait you wanna go on a date with me?" Euphoria blinked at him.
"Yes, why is that so hard to believe?" He titled his head slightly causing a lock of his hair to fall over his forehead. She itched to touch it, play with it even.
"Well I'm basically a nobody and you did threaten me after I what saw..." She trailed off opting to look out the window behind him.
"You aren't a nobody and I'd prefer we move pass that, yes?" He arched a brow. "Consider it as a wrong place wrong time sort of moment."
Euphoria bit her lip as she glanced at his green eyes that stared deeply at her. "All I'm saying is there's nothing wrong with taking advantage of opportunities presented to you." Tasha's words rung in her head.
But there's everything wrong with that. I'm basically using the man. She tought to herself.
"Why do you want to take me out, besides the most obvious answer of trying to get to know me?" She met his stare. "Is it sex? Fučk buddy maybe? Or are you exploring?" She narrowed her eyes as she questioned him.
A smirk played on Demetrius's lips. "Sex will come later in the relationship if you allow there to be one, with your consent of course. I don't want a fučk buddy. And I've had my fair share of woman of colour, so no exploring." He answered all three of her questions.

"Oh..." She didn't know what to answer to that.
"I'm going to state the obvious and tell you that I'd like to get to know you. And hopefully one day marry you then you bare my children."
"Whoa, whoa, whoa. Hold the phone. Slow your role." Euphoria quickly jumped up from her seat. "No offence but I don't even have feelings for you. I barely know you! And you're here telling me about marriage."
"I'm an Italian man tesoro. We're quiet possessive. And I've been searching for someone I'd give all my love too." He spoke with passion that weighed heavy on her heart making her look out the window again.
"And you think that's me?" She frowned at the words that passed her lips.
"Oh no bella, I know."

Euphoria stared at the sun as it shun through her room. She had been awake for about an hour now. The conversation she had the night prior rolled through her head repeatedly. She had barely gotten much sleep because the conversation that continued to play like a movie.

Euphoria shut off her phone and placed it in the charger before getting up and getting ready for her date with Demetrius. After making sure and much probing she finally agreed to go on a date with him. Plus she could tell he was becoming irritated by her lack of trust in him. Euphoria could careless. She still remembers what Tasha told her about his family not marrying or being in serious relationships with the lower class and people of colour.
Euphoria had settled for a simple denim high waisted jean, yellow fitted V-neck long sleeve top and black sneakers. She accessorized with earrings, watch and a small necklace. She wore no make up and put her hair in a low ponytail.
While she waited she tidied around the apartment stopping occasionally to take a bite out of her jam sandwich. Just when she'd finished her last bite a knock startled her before she went to the door. "Who is it?"

"Demetrius." She could hear the amusement in his voice. She thanked the heavens that she was dark skinned as she opened the door. She did not want him to see her blush. "Hi."
"Hello Bella." He kissed her cheek making her cheeks feel hot. She remembered him kissing her cheek last night by the door just before he left. "Are you ready?"
"Yes just let me get my phone." She watched him nodded before she went to her room and got her medium sized black handbag and plucked her phone from the charger before making her way to the front door.
Demetrius stepped aside allowing her to close and lock the door. "So where are we going?"
"First we're going out for breakfast then we're going on a little road trip."
"A road trip to where?" She quizzed as she looked up at him. She had to crane her neck backwards to look at him. There wasn't enough space for them to walk side by side in the hallway.
"You're a curious one aren't you?" He smirked looking back at her. "We're going somewhere fun."
"That doesn't exactly tell me where we're going." She frowned slightly.
"That's the whole point tesoro."

Euphoria hummed lightly to herself as she scanned the menu. Demetrius had taken them to a cute little café in the nicer part of town. The café was bright and full of colours. It seemed out off place in the business block. Euphoria glanced up from her menu only to see Demetrius staring at her intently making her eyes dart back down.
"Staring is rude Demetrius." She stated before continuing her little hum.
"I can't help myself to do nothing but stare." Euphoria bit back the smile that threatened to make itself known.
"Where is everyone? I thought you said this place was popular." Euphoria changed the subject as she glanced around the empty café. There were only a few workers and his guards in there excluding them of course.
"I rented it out so we will not be disturbed." Demetrius said making her eyes bludge out of their sockets.
"You didn't have to do that." She began to shy away from his stare. "Don't tell me you also rented out the fun place we're going to next." Her eyes basically pleaded with him. Euphoria doesn't know how much more alone time she could take with the man.
"No I didn't." He shook his head with a smirk playing on his lips. Amusement danced in his eyes when she relaxed as she looked at him. "Are you ready to order?"
"Yes." She had been for over five minutes now. She just used the menu as a distraction from his stare.
Once they had placed their orders and received them not too long after she couldn't help but dance in her seat as she ate. Euphoria could understand why this place was so popular. The waffles were so big and fluffy, bacon was crispy but not too crispy, the sausage had her wanting another one and the orange juice danced on her taste buds.
"This so good." She moaned out as she continued to shovel food into her mouth. Wanting a taste of everything over and over again.
Her ears perked up as she heard him chuckle. Euphoria looked at him to make sure she wasn't dreaming when she heard his rich deep velvety chuckle. She couldn't help but smile as she watched him.
"I'm glad you're enjoying."
Euphoria couldn't help to take in his appearance. He wore a black long sleeve dress shirt, black jeans and black sneakers. His hair was still slightly damp and he looked cleanly shaven. She was enjoying more than just the food at this point.

Luck And Chronomancy
Time Magic is the best magic as everyone knows, although there are lots of unique Talents in the world. Most people only remember Haste because it is hard to get to higher Phases of Chronomancy. That is still enough to make the Talent iconic. A lucky enough Aleatory Talent can position you for greatness or leave you languishing in obscurity. The only true equality in the world is when that glowing message pops up at 8 years old. Even if it doesn't activate until you are an adult at 16 you still know. Sure you can find a new dungeon spawn and get another chance at a rare Talent, even this one, but you have to already be ready to delve into the *Far Wilds*, which is far easier with wealth or family power. This is the story of where my good fortune took me and the difference it made, even among a party of 7 others including an Arcanist. It is a journey of magic and monsters but also math, which some think is actually worse. Luckily I was born with Intelligence and Focus as my personal traits, and my parents were scholars. Of course Chronomancy can also be a frontline combat talent. Versitility well beyond other Elder Talents like Gravity, Abstraction, or Arcana. Might could have worked for me, too. I also met a runaway princess. All the best adventures have a princess. She hated being a noble and we didn't get married but it still counts. Besides she really filled out our front line. All that Leadership training came in handy. I still don't know where she's from. Who cares? How well Haste goes with giant hammers is what's important. I never learned much about anyone in the party, except the one I grew up with. I'm not a people person. I just wanted to optimize dungeon clearing time. *******Story Details******* No romance, politics, or traumatizing content, slice of life, or even dialogue. 1st person narration, like a guide/adventure log. 2000-7000 words a day, maybe 40-60% rpgish combat log with some reasoning on combat decisions, with the rest character Talent discussion and progression stuff. 8 person party with a decent variety in roles. Party members usually have 2 primary functions. Told from the support/control Chronomancer's perspective. Each party member will have 6 Basic/Background Traits, then 3 actual Talents with abilities. Capstone from their Educational Institution, Arbritrary as a gift from the temples, and Aleatory which is decided at birth, revealed at 8, and activated after adulthood at 16. Aleatory Traits ignore requirements and are random why is why they are so important. They'll gain new Talents from finding Dungeons to consume in the *Wilds*. Mature dungeons in cities can provide *Challenges* to raise the Phase of a Talent, up to 3 times from 1 to 4. Each character will get to roughly 8 non-Trait Talents. Attributes come exclusive from Talents, are required by Talents, and provide various effects as well. I designed about 220 Talents with abilities, 4 in each of 4 phases. "Traits" are just Attribute stuff. I'm not sure how many will be detailed in the story, more than 100 for sure. I used Talents because I want to be free of the legacy of tabletop. Half those rules are just because of the limitations inherent in a pre-computer ttrpg. This story mostly uses combat Talents, although like 1/3 of the 220 are for crafting and other society and economy stuff. If you really wanted to be a Thief you might take Intuition, Awarness, and Might for Basic Traits and Deftness, Manipulation, and Trickery for Family/Education. Then you'd pick Acrobatics, and Climbing for Educational Capstone and Arbitrary traits. You Aleatory Trait might be Shadow(Light/Dark) Magic, Umbramancy. A Bard might swap Dexterity for Charisma, Music for Acrobatics, and have gotten Illusion(Shadow/Sound(Air/Force)) for their Aleatory Trait.
