"Baby! What are you doing? You wanted to leave early and you're the one slow poking around!" Brielle said as she grabbed both her and Cam's duffles.

It was three days before Christmas and they were getting ready to head to the Hayes Compound in McKinney. Cam's parents turned one of their properties into a holiday home which they only use for Christmas and the summer holidays. It was a enormous house with at least ten bedrooms, six bathrooms, dinning, two kitchens and whole lot more.

"Damn I can't handle my hygiene?" Cameron spoke as he walked out of the bathroom.

"Nope, not if you're going to take all day." Bri said as she placed both duffles on her arm and walked out of the room going downstairs. Once she made it down, she grabbed Cam's keys from the counter and walked over to the garage door—opening it. She pressed the garage opener and unlocked the truck. Since all the wrapped Christmas gift were in the trunk, she slid the bags on the backseat. Going back in the house, she was met with Cameron coming down the stairs with her purse and bookbag.

"Baby you driving?" Bri asked as she grabbed a bag of snacks from the counter, two core waters and a Gatorade from refrigerator.

"Yes. I'm finna put all this in the truck and do a walk through."

Bri nodded her head as she followed behind him. She pulled the passenger side door open and hopped in setting the bag between her legs. Cam placed her purse in her lap and walked back in the house. Bri pulled out her phone and facetime'd her parents. It rung for a few before her daddy's face popped up in the screen.

"Wassup muffin?"

"Hey daddy! I was just making sure y'all made it safely." Bri said as she dropped her purse between her legs and pulled her seatbelt on because she noticed Cam walking out of the door.

"Where you at and yes, we just pulled in not too long ago. We're almost to the cabin." He peaked into the camera. "

"I'm in the car and yess, y'all coming back on New Year's Eve or before?" Bri asked as she looked over at Cam sliding in the drivers seat. The original plan was for Bri to fly to Cali and do New Years with her family but they decided on coming back to Texas.

Dakari shook his head. "Before, but your sisters are going to make it before me and your mama, because they're flying back."

"Who that?" Cameron whispered while he was adjusting his seat.

"My daddy." Bri turned the phone putting the camera on him.

"What's good pops?!" He threw his head back and pushed the start button—backing out of the garage.

"Wassup C! Y'all finna head to Kinney Bri?"

Brielle nodded her head. "Yes sir."

"Alright muff. Let me know when y'all make it and don't open no gifts from us until we get back." He pointed his finger into the camera.

Bri laughed and shook her head. "I won't daddy and please tell Keria she'll get all her gifts once she get back. Didn't nobody tell her to be born on Christmas."

Dakari looked over his shoulders before whispering. "I should've pulled out."

"See! Daddy bye! I am not finna play with you." She she shook her head and hung up on him. "Lord he gets on my nerves."

Cameron glanced over at Bri before placing his eyes back on the road. "They drove all the way to Cali?"

Nodding her head, Bri placed her phone in the cup holder and popped her lips. "Yup and I'm surprised my sisters road with them. A day is a long time in the car with my parents."

"You ready for this weekend?" Cam licked his lips and changed lanes.

Bri looked over at Cam. "It's my first time spending Christmas away from my family, so it's a little weird. But I think I'm going to be okay."

He grabbed her hand and brought it to his lips—kissing it. "I got you mamas and if you feel uncomfortable around anybody let me or my parents know, but more so me."

She nodded her head and relaxed into the seat. The ride to McKinney was only about a hour away, so Bri thought a little nap wouldn't hurt. Thirty minutes into the ride, Cameron looked over at his girlfriend and shook his head. Bri had her feet on the dash, head back and mouth all open. If it's one thing Bri does, it's sleep. Thirty minutes later, Cam was pulling into his parents compound. He pulled around the fountain and parked at the door. He threw his seatbelt off and looked over at Bri. She was still sleep. Cameron leaned over the arm rest and placed kisses all over her face.

"Wake up mama. We here." Cam took her seatbelt off and sat back in his seat.

Bri groaned and stretched. She wiped her face and looked out of the window. "Cameron what the fuck."

He chuckled and licked his lips. "Big as fuck isn't it?"

Bri shook her head and opened the door—stepping out. She looked around in awe. The Hayes Compound was huge and it dawned on Bri that Cameron may be richer than her. But hey she wasn't complaining.

"Amari why this house so big?" Bri grabbed her bags from the floor and shut the door with her hip. She moved down towards the backdoor and pulled it open grabbing the both duffles along with her bookbag. She walked around to the trunk where he was standing.

He looked down at her. "Wanna know some?"

Bri nodded her head.

"I designed it." Cameron said as he grabbed the gifted wrapped boxes from the trunk. Bri's jaw dropped.

"You're lying." She shook her head as she followed behind towards the front door. Bri walked around him twisted the doorknob—pushing the door open. She stepped in and move out of the way letting Cam walk in—shutting the door behind him. Bri followed after Cam as he walked over to the huge Christmas tree in the corner of the living room, sliding the boxes under there.

Cameron laughed and shook his head grabbing the duffle bags from her grasp. "I'm not but come on, we're staying in the west wing. I wanna get you situated so I can get the rest of the stuff out of the trunk."

Bri shook her head in amazement as she followed behind Cameron. The house was truly stunning. From the features to the art that was displayed on the wall. They climbed up the stairs. Once making it to the second floor, they walked down the hall and took a left. Cameron pushed the door open and Bri gasped. The room was big and spacious, with a French styled decor. Cam dropped the bags and turned around scooping Bri up—tossing her on the bed.

"Ahhh." She squeaked and smacked Cameron across his arm. "What you do that for?"

He shrugged his shoulders and chuckled. "I don't know."

Bri looked down in his face and reached her hand up playing with his eyelashes. She was obsessed with them, being that they were long and curly. Cam blinked against her fingers. He licked his lips and leaned up kissing her. Bri stuck her tongue in his mouth, which caused Cam to suck on it. She moaned against his lips pushing him away, breathing hard. Cam smirked and got up from the bed.

"I'll be right back mama. My parents along with my siblings should be here soon." He pulled his shorts up and ran his hand across his print, which caused Brielle to look down.

She tilted her head to the side. "You get like that just from kissing me?"

Cameron chuckled and licked his lips. "Yes ma'am. I told you that you be doing something to me." He leaned down and doubled pecked her lips before walking out of the room.

She shook her head and grabbed her bookbag—opening it. She pulled out the medium sized gift box and played around it. It was Cam's first gift and it was going to determine a lot if he accepted it. It would be a huge step in their relationship. Bri slid the box back in her bag and pulled her phone out. She was receiving notifications from customers, confirming that they received their orders. Happy was an understatement, because she was worried that some people wouldn't receive their items until after Christmas.

Hearing footsteps, Bri looked up from her phone and saw Cam walking back into the room. He pulled his hoodie over his head and threw it on top their duffle bags.

"You wanna take your boot off?" Bri asked as she was getting ready to climbed out of the bed.

Cam nodded his head and sat on the side of the bed. Brielle walked around and squatted in front of him removing the straps. She pulled it off gently and held his leg as he slid into the bed. Cam pulled one of the pillows from behind him and passed it to Bri. She positioned the pillow and placed Cam's leg top. After doing so, Bri removed her hoodie and replaced it with one of Cam's shirt because all she had on was a sports bra. She climbed back into the bed and sat crisscross on the side of Cameron.

She played with her diamond necklace around her neck as she stared at him. "Can I give you your first gift? I would usually do first gifts on Christmas Eve but since I'm not with my family, a slight change in tradition won't hurt."

Cameron slid and sat up against the headboard. "Yea? What is it?"

"Boy that's the purpose of it being a gift." Bri shook her head and pulled her coach bookbag into her lap—pulling out the medium sized gift box that she was once fumbling with. She placed the box in Cam's lap and started playing with her fingers out of nervousness.

Cam picked up the the box and tore the paper off. He took the top and his mouth dropped. He whipped his head towards Brielle, almost giving hisself whiplash. "Alaya, are you serious?"

She nodded her head. "Yes, and I understand if you say no, because it is a big step." She put her eyes elsewhere and played with her fingers.

Licking his lips, Cameron reach his hand up gripping Bri's chin turning her face toward his. "Yes I'll move in with you mama."

In the box, there was a note, a set of keys and a garage opener. The note was just a small piece of a paper that had the question Will you move in with me and the security code to the alarm.

"C'mere." Cameron pulled her onto his lap, to where she was straddling him. He rubbed his free hand along her thigh, being that his other hand was occupied by his cast still. "Since we giving out gifts early and what not, I got something for you. Now I had planned to give you this on your birthday, but I couldn't wait so I chose Christmas." Cameron reached into his pocket and pulled out a velvet box. He licked his lips and looked up in her face.

"I'm pretty sure you already know what this is. You mean the world to me beautiful. I honestly feel like God sent you to me, because I was to the point where I had given up on the thought of being in love or loving someone. That girl broke me, she broke me to the point of no return. I'm so traumatized that I wake up everyday with fear in my heart that you're going to hit me for doing something you don't like, but I know you're not going to. I promise I'm going to work on that, it's not healthy for me to think way when I know what type of person you are and what type of heart you have." Cameron sighed and wiped his face opening up the velvet box. A loud gasp was heard from Brielle's mouth.

Cameron licked his lips and pulled the rose gold halo ring out of the box. It was a rose gold band with a pink heart shaped point eight carat diamond and white diamonds on the side. He rubbed the ring between his fingers and started singing. "Nothing is promised to me and you. So why will we let this thing go. Baby I promise that I'll stay true. Don't let nobody say it ain't so. And baby I promise, that I will never leave. That everything will be alright. I promise these things to youuu. Girllll just believe, I promiseeeeee."

At this point, Brielle was crying. She looked at Cameron through her blurry vision and shook her head—crying more because Cameron was crying as well. He sniffed and licked his lips grabbing her left hand. He slid the ring on her ring-finger.

"I love you Alaya, because your love gives me strength. While loving you gives me courage." He pulled her into his chest and laid down.

"I love you too Amari." Bri mumbled into his chest and brought her hand up to her face admiring the ring.

They were laying in silence, just taking in everything. Processing the moment that happened. Not saying a word. Their little time under each other was short lived when one of their phones started ringing. Cam rose up—still holding Bri in his chest, he pulled his phone from his shorts quickly swiping the answer bra over once he saw the contact. "Hey momma."

"Hey bink! You at the compound?"

Nodding his head as if she can see him. "Yes ma'am, Bri and I made it about a hour ago." He looked down and kissed her forehead.

"Oo Im glad I called. I really hate to bother her, but can you ask can she help me with the groceries? I don't won't you up despite the boot and your father is on his way to the airport to pick up Ess and Nerrick. Everybody else will be here tomorrow."

"Ok, hold on." He placed the call on mute. "Baby?"

Bri moved her head. "Yes?"

"Ma said you mind helping her with the groceries?"

Bri nodded. "I don't mind. Is she outside now?"

Cameron tapped the unmute button. "She said yes. Where you at ma?"

"Pulling in." She hung up the phone and Cam frowned. "Never did she hang up on me, but she just pulled in mama."

Moving from his chest, Bri climbed out of the bed and slid her feet back into her slides. She walked out of the room, hoping not to get lost. She took a right coming out of the room and went straight, going down the stairs. Walking out of the foyer, Bri pulled the front door open and saw Ms. Sasha stepping out of a black Chevy Tahoe.

Bri walked down the little step towards her. "Hey Ma."

"Hey baby." Ms. Sasha pulled her into a hug. "I think we can do it in two trips. I'm going to leave all the big stuff for my husband."

Bri nodded and watched as she opened the trunk. She started grabbing bags. Once she felt like she had enough on her arms, she followed behind Sasha as they made their way towards the front door. Sash kicked it open, walking in and taking a right with Bri following behind her.

It indeed took them a total of two trips. Sasha showed Brielle where everything was supposed to go while putting up groceries as well. Sasha looked at Bri who was loading the drinks into the refrigerator and smiled to herself because her son was happy and she knew that Brielle was the one for him. Sasha saw something gleam in the light and smirked.

"Bri, what that is on your finger?" Sasha asked as she put all the plastic bags under the cabinets.

Brielle looked down at her hand and blushed. She slowly turned around. "It's a promise ring from Cameron."

"I know, I helped him pick it out. Boy called me at like three am one night screaming. Girl I thought something was wrong but he was talking about how much he loved you and wanting to give you a ring. So we stayed on phone sending screenshots back and forth." She shook her head.

"Not at thre—." Bri was cut off by yelling.

"Momma I'm home!"

Sasha dropped whatever she had in her and sprinted to the front. Bri being the person she is, she followed right behind her. She stood back as she saw Sasha pull someone into a hug.

"Wassup babygirl?" Andre, Cameron's father walked over and pulled her into side hug.

"Hey pops." She hugged him back and stood off to the side. She felt some staring at her, so Bri turned her head and saw a tall brown skin girl. She's pretty she thought. The girl turned her head pushing her shades up on her head.

"Momma, who this?" She pointed at Bri and the attention was now on her.

"Whoever she is, she's fine as fuck!" The guy licked his lips and rubbed his hands together which resulted into Dre smacking him upside his head.

"Kill it, this is Brielle, Cameron's girlfriend." Dre pointed. "Sorry about him Bri, but this is Essence and Nerrick."

"Hi." Bri waved and turned to Sasha. "Ma, I'm going to go get Cam, I'll be back."

Brielle made a beeline for the stairs. She took two steps and a time. Finally making to the second floor. She retraced her steps and made her way back to the room that she'll be occupying for the weekend. She pushed the door open and shook her head once walking in. Cameron was laying down—eyes closed, with his free hand behind his head and his casted arm on his stomach. Bri pushed the door closed and made her way towards the bed. She kicked her slides off and eased her way into the bed because she didn't know wether he was sleep or not. She reached her hand up towards his face.

"Don't even even think about it." Cam spoke, popping his eyes open looking over at her.

Bri dropped her hand and smiled sheepishly. "I don't know what you're talking about."

"Yea yea, sure you don't."

"Your brother and sister are here. I told ma that I would come and get you, so come on." Brielle rolled out the bed and stood up walking towards her bag. She looked through her bag and grabbed some ankle socks—pulling them on her feet. She turned and looked at Cam, who was sitting on the side of the bed. She walked over and grabbed his boot—squatting in front of him. Placing his leg in the boot, she adjusted it and strapped the straps.

"Is it tight or too loose?" Bri looked up in his face.

"It's a little loose." Cameron moved his leg and she nodded—tighten up the straps. She stood back up grabbing his hand in the process and pulled him up.

"Let's go big man." Bri skipped out of the room and slipped from her socks. Cameron shook his head and pulled up his falling shorts. He adjusted his meat against his thigh and walked out of the room. He saw Bri waiting for him in the middle of the staircase. He made his way down and they walked into the kitchen since the living room was empty.

"There goes my baby." Sasha said as she walked around the island and pulled Cameron into a hug.
