It's been exactly a week and a half since the incident happened at Walmart. The boys lost their homecoming by a shy of five points. Kai came and took Bri's graduation picture. They did four scenes, with one being in front of the schools sign. She did at least three wardrobe changes. The first one was her in a all white pants suit, the second was school paraphernalia with all of her achievements that she received throughout her three years of being there and the last one she wore her scrubs and sat in front of the natural science building with all her books.
The photoshoot was fun and exciting for Bri because realization had finally set in. She's really graduating a semester and year early. Babygirl is about to HBCU degreed.
It was a little after three—Cam and Jabari were on their way to pick up Bri's car from the shop. Jabari looked from the road and glanced at Cam.
"You think K'Mya back for real?"
Cam slouched into the seat and pulled at his hair biting his lip. "Who else could it be? I only have one more ex and she left the country our junior year of highschool. It has to be K'Mya, because you know me man. I have never been a cheater so we can go ahead and rule that out. Bri is the whole package, I don't need nobody else. It gotta be her ass man."
Jabari smiled and shook his head. He was happy for his bestfriend. It has been a long time since Cameron has smiled the way he does now. He was in a very dark place two years ago. "Yo love struck ass, but is sis okay?"
Cam smacked his lips and looked at Jabari. "She was too calm for my liking and honestly it scared me. The ones that be calm be the craziest."
"Shiddd. Them the ones you have to watch."
"Tell me about it. Make a left right here and the shop should be on the right."
Jabari turned left and pulled to Bust Bro's Auto Bodyshop. He parked and Cam grabbed his bookbag before stepping out. Jabari rolled the window down and leaned over the armrest.
"You good? You don't need me to stay?"
Cam shook his head leaned slapping hands with Bari. "Nah you good. Go ahead and go to work."
"Bet! Be safe Bro." Jabari tapped his horn twice and sped off. Cam shook his head and threw his bookbag across his back and walked inside the building. He looked around before walking towards the front desk.
"Hi, I'm here for a pick up."
The receptionist looked up. "Name, ID and slip please."
"Cameron Hayes." Cameron reached into his back pocket and pulled out his wallet grabbing his ID along with the yellow slip. He slid the items over and waited.
"2019 Dodge Charger SRT-Hellcat, license plate 3216B?"
Cameron nodded his head. "Yes ma'am."
Standing, the receptionist slid his items back over and grabbed her walkie talkie. "You can have a seat in the waiting area. I'll be right back with your keys."
Cameron slid his ID back in his wallet and took a seat in the waiting area. He pulled his phone out and texted Bri.
have you ate?
💍no not yet, I was waiting on you.
it's a little early but let's go out.
I'll be there in a min. 😘
💍okay 🥺
Cameron shook his head and slid his phone back in his pocket. About a minute later, the receptionist returned and motioned for him to follow. Cam stood up doing so.

"Here are the keys. It would've been ready sooner, but we had to call around for the tent. Thank you for doing business with Bust Bro's."
Cam nodded his head pulling the door open. He slid in taking his bookbag off—throwing it in the passenger seat. He pushed the start button and pulled out. As Cam cruised down the road, he didn't know that he was being followed. Every turn and lane change—the person followed.
About twenty minutes late, Cam pulled up to a flower shop. He killed the engine and stepped out. Pulling up his pants, he looked around and made his way inside—sneezing. He shook his head. "Excuse me."
The owner shook her head and smiled. "You're a regular so it's okay. Did she say yes?"
Cam laughed and shook his head. "Yes ma'am."
"Good. I just love young black love. What can I get for you today Cam?"
"The light pink roses mean admiration, right?"
She nodded her head. "Yes, do you want a bouquet of those?"
Nodding his head. "Yes ma'am and can you send my mother a bouquet of sunflowers to her office?"
"I gotchu."
"Thank you Ms. Lucy." She turned and walked towards the back. About three minutes later, she was returning with a big bouquet of light pink roses.
"Here you go son. Be sure to use me for y'alls wedding."
Cameron threw his head back in laughter. "Yes ma'am. You take it easy Ms. Lucy!"
He turned around and walked towards the exit walking out. As he approached the car, he seen a lone figure leaning against it. "Excuse me, you're on my car."
The person turned around and it's like Cam saw a ghost.
"Your car? I thought it was Brielle's?"
"K'Mya. It was you." Cameron whispered and stepped back.
She smiled and walked around causing Cam to walk in front of the car.
"I'm back baby. You missed me? Did Miss Brielle enjoy her little note?"
Cam frowned his face up. "Hoe, why is you here?"
Folding her arms across her chest. She looked Cameron up and down licking her lips. "Damn you still look good but I'm here to finish what I started."
Shaking his head. Cam slowly moved in front of the drivers side door and pressed the button on the handle.
"I should've killed you when I had the chance, because if I can't have you no one can."
Cam pulled the door open quickly and slid in pushing the start button pulling off. He managed to pull his phone out and dialed Jabari's number.
"Jabari!" He was breathing hard—almost hyperventilating.
"Woah! What's wrong."
"It's her! She's back!"
"Wait! Slow down Cam. Breathe. Breathe. Where are you and who's back?"
"I'm leaving the flower shop and K'Mya! She did it."
Meanwhile Cam was driving down the road. K'Mya was standing on the sidewalk on the phone.
"Hello? Yea he should be coming down the road now. I can see from here. Do it." She hung up and looked up as she heard the crash. She smiled to herself and walked towards her car getting in—pulling off.
On the other side of Dallas, Bri was laying across her bed waiting on Cam. It has been about two hours since she has heard from him and it was odd. She pulled her phone from the charger and dialed Jabari's number since she knew he was with him last. It rung for a few.
"Brielle!"

Bri was now alert. She rose from the bed. "Jabari! Where's Cam?"
"His ex! She's back and she did that to your car. I think Cam was just in a accident. He called me as he was leaving the flower shop, I guess she approached him. He was on the brink of a panic attack and then I heard a loud crash. I keep trying his phone but I'm not getting nothing."
Bri shook her head and hopped off the bed going into her closet. "What's his ex's name?"
"K'Mya, K'Mya Mitchell."
Halting her movement. She shook her head in disbelief. Chuckling to herself. "Hold on Bari, I'm about to send you picture and I need you to identify this person."
Tapping out of the screen, Bri tapped the email icon and went to her file of applicants pulling up K'Mya's application. She screenshot'd the picture and started a message thread sending Bari the picture. "Is that her?"
"Bri.. How you know her?"
Bri shook her head and stripped from her jeans and pulled on some leggings. Picking up some old Nike's, she slipped her feet in.
"That's the same bitch that's renting my condo! Find whatever you can on Cam and call me back. I'm finna go to jail." Bri hung up and dialed her daddy's number.
"Wassup muffin."
"Put me on speaker." Bri pulled her installed into a high thigh ponytail and removed all her jewelry.
"Well shit. Who pissed you off?"
"Not right now daddy. Mommy you remember I told you Cam was in abusive relationship?"
"Yes."
"Well I didn't tell you everything because that's not my right but the key detail I left out was that she tried to kill him." Bri walked back into her closest and moved some clothes revealing her safe. She placed her palm on the scanner and entered her parents wedding date—making it pop open. Bri reached inside and grabbed ten thousand for bond money, just incase. She stood up and kick it closed.
"Where you going with this muff?"
Bri picked up Cam's keys and walked out the room jogging downstairs. "The bitch is back and she's the one that did the damage to my car. Not only that, it's the same hoe that I rented my condo to. I think she put a tracker on my car because as soon as Cam picked it up she approached him. I also think she was the cause of his accident. So I need y'all on the jet like now because I think I'm about to go to jail."
"Woah! Slow down! What you mean accident?" On the other end Dakari was in the closet packing his duffle while Ashley was on the phone with their lawyer and pilot.
"Cam texted me while he was at the shop picking up my car saying we was about to go out to eat. Two hours had passed by and I found that odd so I called his best friend and he was like Cameron ran into his ex. Jabari said he was leaving the flower shop and then he heard a crash." Bri grabbed her gun from the drawer and walked out of the garage door. She opened it and pulled the drivers side door open hopping—pushing the start button and backed out of the garage down the driveway. Hitting eighty down the road.
"Oh god. Let me guess, you're on the way to the condo?"
"Damn skippy."
"Be careful Alaya. We'll be there in a hour."
Bri hung up the phone and dialed her sisters. They answered after the second ring. She sat the phone in her lap. "Y'all!"
"Wassup what's wrong?"
"Guess who fucked my car up?" Bri increased her speed and weaved in and out of lanes.
"Who?"
"Cameron's delusional ass ex. Cam was in a abusive relationship for about two years and once he tried to break it off, shorty tried to kill him. On some if I can't have you, then no one can type shit."
"Bri I know you fucking lying."
"You need us in the D?"
"Please."
"Wait why you crying?" Kai and Keria were now alert.
Bri chuckled not even realizing she was crying. "Y'all thats not even the half. His ex is the same hoe I rented my condo to and I think Cam was in a accident. With her being the cause.
"Oh we're on the way right now. Keria email our professors and say we got a family emergency. Where are you now Bri?"
"On my way to the condo and if this bitch was smart she wouldn't be there." Bri sped through oncoming traffic dodging the cars.
"Oh lord. You called daddy nem?"
Nodding her head. "Yes I called them first. They're getting on the jet. I just pulled up to the condo building. I'll see y'all in little."
"Be careful Bri. We're on the way." Bri hung up and threw the truck in park.
She opened the armrest placing the money inside before hopping out. Bri placed the gun in the waistband of her pants and hit the locks walking in the building heading straight for the stairs. Bri ran straight to the fifth floor. Four years of basketball and track and field paid off. Pushing the stairwell door open, she walked down the hall and placed her hand over the peephole and knocked.
"Who is it?" Bri shook her head. What a dumb bitch she thought.
"Maintenance." The door pulled open and Bri hit her straight in the face. She pushed her inside and kicked the door open with her foot.
"Who are yo—." Bri sent a right hook straight to her face not giving her chance to finish her sentence.
"Not so tough now, huh? Stupid bitch." Bri sent another hit to her face and Bri busted her nose.
"Wait! I'm not K'Mya! I'm her twin, K'Nya." She cried out holding her nose.
Bri stopped her fist in mid air. Looking her up and down shaking her head. "I swear if you're lying to me."
"I swear I'm not lying. I take it you're Brielle?"
"How you know that?" Bri stepped back mugging her.
"Because once she found out you were dating Cameron, that's all she talked about. She's been stalking you. My sister is bipolar schizophrenia."
"So where is she?"
K'Nya shrugged her shoulders. "I don't know. She said she was going to see a old friend and never returned."
"Well when she comes back, let her know y'all got three days to get the fuck outta my shit." Bri turned around and walked out of the door—slamming it in the process. She flexed her hand and put her ear up towards the door. Bri heard talking in a hushed tone and she shook her head.
"Bitch! Why you let her hit you? You so fucking dumb."
"I'm sorry! She barged in and starting throwing them."
"Shut the fuck up and go pack. We gotta get out of her. I did something bad."
"What the fuck did you do K'Mya?"
"I had somebody run Cameron off the road. So you need to hurry up."
Brielle backed away from the door and closed her eyes—counting to five. She raised her right foot and kicked the door. It didn't budge, so she did it again and it flew off the hinges. "I thought you said she was gone? I guess y'all take me for a joke. Run up K'Mya."
Bri got into her stance throwing her set up. K'Mya kicked her shoes of and stood in front of Bri causing her to chuckle. Her stance was too wide and her face was too open. This is finna be too easy Brielle thought.
"Hit me bitch. You wanna hit on niggas and shit. Hit me hoe." Brielle taunted walking in circles.
"Not so tough now, huh? Show me what you got."
K'Mya threw a punch and which resulted into Bri dodging it, throwing a left hook in the process. K'Mya stumbled back and Bri took that as a opportunity to go in on her face—throwing rapid punches. K'Mya dropped to the floor into a fatal position.
"Okay, I that think that's enough." K'Nya said as leaned down checking on her sister.
Bri frowned her face up.
"Girl fuck you. Y'all got two days to get the fuck outta my shit and I'll be back with the police in exactly two days." Bri kicked K'Nya in her face and stomped K'Mya in her stomach.
"That's for Cameron bitch."
Bri walked out of the condo took the backstairs and walked out of the the side door. Once she made it to the truck, she pulled the door open and hopped in. She hissed and looked down at her hands. Her knuckles were bloody and busted. Shaking her head. She pulled out her phone and noticed all the missed calls and messages. Tapping on Jabari's name.
"Brielle! Come to Dallas Regional, it's Cam." Bri hung up and threw phone in the passenger seat. She pushed the start button and busted a u-turn in the middle of the road speeding off.
Bri was pulling into the hospital parking about 10 minutes later. She threw the truck in park and removed her gun from the waist band of her pants and placed it in the glove compartment. She grabbed her phone and keys before stepping out. She sent her current location to her family and walked towards the entrance. The automated doors slid open and she walked through. Looking around the waiting room, she spotted Jabari sitting in the corner. Bri walked over to him.
"Bari."
He jumped and looked up. "Why you bloody?"
"I beat K'Mya and her sister's ass."
Jabari threw his head back in confusion. "Sister?"
"Bitch has a twin. Have you got in touch with Cam's parents?"
He nodded his head and stood up. "Yes, they should be here soon."
They walked towards the nurses station. "Excuse me. My sister needs some help."
A nurse looked up and her eyes widen. "Come on miss."
Brielle followed behind the nurse and sat on the bed once she made it into the room.
"I can ask why you're bloody?" The nurse grabbed one of Bri's hand flushed her knuckles with saline and repeated the same step for the other hand.
Bri laughed and nodded her head. "I got into a fight."
"Oh wow. Is the other person ok?"
"Yes ma'am, it was just a scuffle."
"Ok good, what really brings you here tonight?" The nurse wrapped Bri's hands and made sure the wraps were secure yet tight.
"My boyfriend was in a accident."
"Oh honey. Let's get back out here, what's his name and I'll have some one update you."
Bri jumped down from the bed and followed the nurse out of the door. "Cameron, Cameron Amari Hayes."
The nurse nodded and walked away. Bri walked back towards the waiting area and sat by Jabari laying her head on his shoulder.
"Girl not both of your hands wrapped. How much damage did you do?"
Bri chuckled and shook her head. "Enough."
After sitting in the waiting room for about thirty minutes. A doctor walked out with a clipboard and looked around. "Family of Cameron Hayes?"
Jabari and Brielle jumped out of their seats rushing to the nurse.
"Relation to the patient?"
"Im his fiancé and that's his brother." Bri spoke not in the mood for hospital protocol. Hospitals be on bullshit and she doesn't have the time nor patience to deal with it right now.
"Hi, I'm Dr. Davis. Mr. Hayes was very blessed to survive. The surgery went well. He suffered a broken leg, broken wrist, bruised ribs and some minor cuts and bruises. Because he wasn't wearing his seatbelt, the impact threw his body over. He will be immobile for a month or two and will need physical therapy after he recovers. Any questions?"
Bri shook her head feeling sad. "Can you explain his leg injury?"
"Yes, follow me please."
Jabari wrapped his arm around Bri's shoulder and they followed behind the doctor approaching a white board. Dr. Davis placed Cam's X-ray sheets onto the board.
"Mr. Hayes suffered a complete and displaced fracture which is very rare."
Bri shook her head. "Meaning the bone is broken in two or more parts and the bone fragments of each side aren't aligned."
"Yes ma'am and what we did was maneuver the pieces of the bone into the correct position. We call that reduction. We placed a cast on his leg. He's awake and he's asking for a Brielle. I take it that's you?"
Bri nodded her head. "Yes ma'am, that's me. What will his recovery process be like?"
"Absolutely no stairs. Minor walking, he will be on on crutches for six weeks."
"Um, we're roommates and our apartment is on the third floor." Jabari spoke up for the first time tonight.
"He doesn't have anybody else to stay with?"
"He can stay with me."
Jabari looked over at Bri. "How? All your rooms are upstairs."
"My basement is fully furnished with a bathroom and kitchen. Instead of walking downstairs from the inside, we can use the outside side door."
"Are you guys ready to see him?"
"Yes ma'am."
