"Oh shit! You okay?" Cameron dropped his slice of pizza and started patting Bri on her back. She raised her hand and pointed towards the water. Cameron twisted the top off and passed it to her. She took a big gulp and placed it back on the table letting out a refreshing sigh.

"I'm sorry. This is embarrassing and quite dramatic I might add." Bri chuckled and wipe her mouth.

Cameron bit his lip. "It's okay as long as you're okay."

Brielle shook her head. "The question caught me off guard but yes I'll spend the night."

A big smile stretched across Cameron's face. He shook his head picking up his slice of pizza biting into it staring in Bri's face. She darted her eyes in another direction avoiding the eye contact. Bri put her focus back on tacos, making a mental note to not choke this time.

"Come on and let's get out of here." Cameron stood up and threw their trash away.

Bri didn't bother on grabbing any bags because she knew Cam would fuss. She shook her head standing making sure she had all of her belongings. Cameron returned and grabbed all the bags in one hand and latching onto Bri's hand with the other.

They walked hand in hand towards the front. Walking through the parking lot, Bri pulled her key out and popped her trunk. She looked up at Cam. "Are you going to get your stuff now or what?"

Cameron shook his head and placed everything in the trunk. "Just bring it when you come by tonight."

He shut the trunk and pulled Bri into him wrapping his arms around her waist. He looked down into her face and licked his lips.

"I'm glad you said yes, because if you didn't it would have ruined what I got planned."

Brielle smirked. "What if I would have said no?"

Cameron shrugged his shoulders. "I don't know." He rubbed his hand in circles before laying a hard smack to her backside.

"Amari!"

He laughed. "I'm sorry but Im fixing to let you go. Go ahead and pack that spenntanight bag."

Brielle laughed and shook her head. "Don't ever say that again."

"What? Ain't that how y'all say it?" Cameron said laughing again.

Bri opened her door and slid in. Pushing the start button, she pulled her seatbelt across her and looked up at Cam. "What time you want me to come by?"

"Come when you're ready, but don't keep me waiting too long." He kissed her forehead and shut the door tapping the top of the car—twice. Bri hit the horn twice pulling out of the lot. Stopping at a stop light, Bri attached her phone to the dash and called her sisters on FaceTime. It rung three times before it was answered. Bri pulled off from the light.

"Y'all guess what!" Briefly looking in the camera, Bri put her attention back on the road and switched lanes.

"What?"

"Bitch! Cameron asked me to spend the night." Bri flinched from the loud scream that came from her sisters. She turned the volume down.

"Well damn. Y'all more excited than me." She shook her head and turned down her street.

"Yes because it's about time. It's been two months."

"What keria said! Where you going now?"

Brielle pulled into her long driveway and parked. "I just made it home. I'm about to shower and pack."

"How long you staying?"

That question caused Bri to shrug her shoulders.

"I don't know." Bri pressed the stop button grabbing her phone and keys before stepping out.

"Go do what you gotta do. Give us the details later. We're about to go get food."

Bri nodded her head. "Y'all be careful."

She hung up and ran towards her front door. Punching in the code, the door opened. She pushed through and shut the door. Once she kicked her shoes off, she ran upstairs taking two steps at a time. Brielle walked into her room throwing her keys and stuff on the bed.

She walked into the closet and grabbed her coach duffle throwing it on the bed.

Bri pieced at least two outfits together. She folded them and placed them in the duffle along with undergarments. Grabbing some loungewear and the necessary essentials like her hygiene products, she threw them into the duffle.

After stripping from her clothes Bri threw everything in her hamper and pulled her shower cap onto her head. Going into her bathroom, Bri turned the shower on and grabbed a small towel before stepping inside.

After showering for like twenty minutes Bri stepped out and wrapped a big towel around her. She quickly dried off and rubbed her body down with her vanilla shea body butter from tree hut. Grabbing some boy shorts and a pair of Nike pro shorts. She slid them on and grabbed the Nike sports bra to match. Pulling a windbreaker over her head.

Brielle removed her shower cap and pulled her tresses into a ponytail. Quickly rubbing her lips in vaseline, she checked her duffle and made sure she had everything she needed. Bri grabbed a fresh toothbrush and her cetaphil face wash. She zipped the duffle up and threw it on her shoulder. Bri slid her feet into a pair of all black Birkenstock's putting her yellow toes on display.

Since her bookbag was already in the car, she picked her biology book up along with her phone and macbook charger. Making sure everything was off and secure. She picked up her phone and keys before making her way downstairs. Once she tapped in the security code, she walked out of the door.

Unlocking her door, she slid in and placed her belongings in the passenger seat. Before pushing the start button she shook her head and looked into the imaginary camera. "Y'all I'm so nervous! I ain't never spent the night with nobody. And then he talking about he got some planned!?"

She pushed the start button and pulled the seatbelt across her body. She reversed out of her long driveway and drove in the direction of Cam's place. She knew the way like the back of her hand because over the last two months, if she wasn't at home or school she was at Cam's.

After a thirty minute ride, Bri was pulling into the parking lot of Cameron's apartment complex. She lucked up and found a park right besides Cam's range.

Backing in, she killed the engine sliding her keys and phone in the pocket of her windbreaker. She grabbed her bookbag and placed her bio book inside before throwing it across her back. Gripping her duffle, Bri stepped out and slung it across her. She shut her door and popped the trunk—grabbing the bags from the mall and shut the trunk with her elbow.

Looking into her imaginary camera. "Whew! It's now or never ladies. Wish me luck!" Bri held up her thumbs and walked towards the stairs. Climbing to the third floor, she was faced with the numbers three dash five in black paint. Bri brung her fist up and knocked on the door twice stepping back adjusting the bags in her hand.

"Who is it?"

"Brielle." She bit her lip as she heard the locks turn. The door was pulled open and she was met with Cam's best-friend, Jabari.

"Wassup Bri? Come on in." Jabari pulled the door open wider, allowing Bri to step through the threshold.

"Hey Jabari." Brielle kicked her shoes off and picked them holding them in her hand.

"Where's Cam?"

Jabari pointed towards the back. "He's in the shower. Gone to the back."

Nodding her head, she walked towards the back and pushed his room door open. She was hit with a fresh linen smell. Shaking her head, she knew he had cleaned up prior to her arrival. Bri placed her duffle by the dresser along with her shoes and slid her bookbag off her back.

She placed the bags on the dresser and separated her and Cam's stuff apart. Looking on the bed, a beautiful bouquet of yellow roses with red tips was laying on the bed.

Walking slow towards the bed. Bri picked up the note that was attached and opened it. It read , Bri's face balled up in confusion but she turned around anyway almost jumping out of her skin. She placed her hand over her chest.

"Amari!" She stomped her foot with a pout on her face. "You can't keep sneaking up on me like this."

Cameron was leaning against the threshold with his arms folded. He chuckled and licked his lips. "I'm sorry mama, but do you like the flowers?"

"Like? I love them. They're beautiful." Bri sniffed them and smiled.

Cameron smirked. "Do you know what that specific rose means?"

Shaking her head no. "Enlighten me."

"You're falling into love from friendship or a plain indication of falling in love with the person you presented the flowers to." Cameron licked his lips and stared Brielle in her eyes. He unfolded his arms and placed his hands inside the pockets of his sweatpants.

"Read my shirt mamas."

Brielle moved her eyes from his face and raked them across his shirt. Tears welled up in her eyes. "Cameron!" The shirt read.

"So what do you say? I know it's a little corny but I didn't wanna get you no jewelry or nothing so I did something different." He gnawed on his bottom lip.

Bri wiped her face and stood up. "Yes I'll be your girlfriend."

"Oo c'mere girl." He pulled Bri by her waist. He gripped her face in his hands and rubbed his thumb across her bottom lip. He leaned down and kissed her. They where going tit for tat until Bri pulled back sucking on his bottom lip. She let it go popping against his top lip.

"Girl you just don't know how long I've been waiting to do that. Gimme another one."

Brielle laughed and kissed him again. He gripped her neck deepening the kiss. Pulling back, they place their foreheads against each other breathing hard.

"Hi girlfriend."

Bri let out a small laugh. "Hey boyfriend."

"Go ahead and get comfortable. I'm finna go cook us something to eat." He pecked her lips and walked out of the room.

Bri shook her head and smiled. She removed her windbreaker and grabbed her bookbag climbing in his bed. She looked over in her camera. "I'm a girlfriend guys!"

She laughed and shook her head. "I'm such a weirdo."

Brielle sat crisscross against his headboard and placed her MacBook in her lap. She pulled it open and logged into her school account going to her courses. She didn't have any homework for her other course but bio.

After doing her homework for about thirty minutes, she became restless. She moved her stuff to the side and climb out of the bed. Pulling some socks out her bag, she pulled them on her feet and grabbed her phone walking to the front.

Walking into the kitchen she came up on Cameron laughing at something that was showing on the tv. She pulled her phone out and took a picture—sending it to her sisters.

Brielle busted out laughing causing Cam to look her way. "What you laughing at?"

Bri locked her phone and looked up at Cameron shaking her head. "My sisters being foolish as usual. What you cooking?"

"Chicken fried rice, that's okay with you?

Nodding her head. "Yes, but I don't want no peas or carrots."

"I got you mama. I bought you some stuff. It's some pineapples, core water, and apple juice in the fridge. And I got you some purple skittles and sweet and spicy trail mix you be eating."

Bri starting pouting. "You so sweet. Where's Bari?"

"He went to work."

Nodding her head. Bri walked to the fridge and grabbed a water. "I'm about to finish my homework."

"Okay, I'll be in there soon."

Brielle returned to his room and reclaimed her spot against the headboard. She spent another thirty minutes doing her biology homework before submitting it. She checked her grades and was satisfied. Praying midterms don't hurt too bad in a few weeks. She checked her email personal and business before closing everything out.

"You ready to eat mama?" Bri looked towards the door and saw Cameron holding a tray with two bowls.

Nodded her head. "Yea, I was just putting my stuff up." She slid her MacBook along with her textbook into her bookbag and placed it on the side of the bed.

Cam's bed was big so he placed the tray in the middle and sat up against the headboard legs gapped open.

"Oo this smell good. Let me find out you know your way around the kitchen." Bri held the bowl up to her nose. She poured some duck and soy sauce on top—mixing it up, she spooned some and took a bite.

"Oh! You're about to be cooking more often."

Cameron laughed. "I got you mama." He picked up his bowl and started eating.

They ate in silence besides the occasional commentary. After they finished eating, Bri took upon herself to wash the dishes, despite Cam's request. She returned to the room and the light was off with a tucked Cameron. Only thing that could be seen was his hair from the tv's silhouette. Grabbing her bonnet from her bag, Bri quickly rapped her pony into a bun and placed her black satin bonnet on her head.

"Mama I know you don't like sleeping in clothes. You better not got in this bed with them shorts on. Don't be shy, I want you comfortable." Cameron spoke not taking his eyes off the tv.

Bri shook her head and slid her shorts off folding them and placed them on her bag.

"Oooo girl what you doing with all that!"

She bust out laughing and hid her face. "Stop Cameron."

"Come on and get in this bed. I got the air on sixty four just for you."

She shook her head and climbed in the bed. She laid on her side facing him. He grabbed her leg and pulled her into him. "Ahhh! I am not no rag doll boy."

"Oh hush." Cameron turned the tv off and now the room was pitch black dark. Bri couldn't see but she felt him staring at her. He scooted over and pulled her leg across his abdomen. He placed his hand on her backside and staring rubbing circles against it.

"Thank you for choosing me mama." He whispered.
