It was Monday which meant Brielle only has two classes to attend. She's majoring in Biology with a minor in African American History. Her dream is to become a dermatologist, with high hopes of having her own practice. Yes, she has her jewelry business, but two sources of income has never hurt anybody.
The alarm sounded which caused Brielle to groan. She rolled over and tapped the 'stop' button. She pulled her arms up and stretched. You know the stretch that make you shake? Yes, that is the one.
Bri threw her legs over the bed and stood up. She stripped from her night clothes which only consisted of a sports bra and some shorts. She walked into her bathroom, started her shower, and began brushing her teeth. After brushing her teeth, she jumped in the shower and started washing her body.
She washed her body for about forty minutes before getting out. Brielle wrapped her towel around her and walked to the sink. She grabbed her face mask and started applying it. She let the mask sit for about three minutes before rinsing it off. After drying her whole body, she walked into her closet.
Brielle grabbed her preferred undergarments and put them on. She grabbed her favorite lotion, rubbed her body down and sprayed on her deodorant.
Since it was a Monday, Bri went for the usual. A windbreaker, and a pair of black biker shorts. She stepped into the shorts and pulled them over her plump behind and grabbed a windbreaker from a hanger before pulling it over her head. She sprayed her body with one of her favorites and grabbed a pair of red Nikes vapormax.
Brielle walked into the bathroom and took her bonnet off. She wet her curls and placed a diamond studded earring in each ear. She turned the light off and walked out. Picking up her sprayground bookbag, she placed her beats, biology book, MacBook, and chargers inside. She threw her bag on her back and grabbed her phone.
After doing a double take making sure she had everything she walked out and went to her jewelry room grabbing the post office bin. Brielle picked up all the wrapped packages and placed them inside.
Once she left out of the room, she picked her keys up off the counter and trotted towards the door walking out. As she was walking towards the elevator her phone started ringing. She ignored it and stepped onto the elevator. Brielle got off the elevator and made her way to the parking complex.

Coming up on her car, she pressed the lock button three times and the engine roared to life. Bri popped the truck and placed the bin inside. Sliding into the car, she placed her bookbag in the passenger seat and picked up her phone. She noticed she had missed a Group FaceTime call with her sisters. Bri slid the bar over and placed her phone on the dash. It rung for about three seconds.
"Good morning Bri." Kailani's voice blared the speaker of the car. Brielle put her seatbelt on and zoomed out of the parking lot. She made her way onto the interstate.
"Good morning Kai. Za'Keria why we can't see or hear you?" Bri briefly looked into the camera before switching lanes.
Keria appeared upon the screen with her toothbrush in her mouth. "I was peeing, and I didn't want y'all to hear." She turned the sink on and wet her toothbrush.
"Where are you going Bri?" Kailani was in the mirror fixing her hair.
"I'm on my way to class." Bri switched lanes and got off on her exit. "Where y'all going? It's Monday and if I'm correct y'all don't have class today."
Keria threw back the mouthwash and spit before speaking. "We're doing a job together. A new magazine company reached out to us both. They selected us out of three thousand. You know Kai is very versatile, so she is going to be bouncing around, but she is the main photographer. I'm doing makeup."
Bri pulled into the student parking and parked. "Oh my god! I am so proud of you guys! You both are going to be making six figures before y'all turn twenty-two."
Kai threw her hand up. "Says the twenty-year-old millionaire."
Brielle talked to her sister for about twenty more minutes before getting out of the car. She locked her doors and started her stride across campus. As she was walking across campus she was approached.
"Hey, Brielle owner of The Diamond Palace, right?"
Bri nodded. "Yes, that's me."
The girl nodded. "I'm Alexis president of the business club. We are having our annual pop-up shop and I wanted to know if you would like a booth? It's this Wednesday at noon. If your answer is yes, scan the QR code and register. Here's the flyer." Bri took the flyer and walked away.

"Good Morning Mr. Woods." Bri walked into her biology class early as usual and sat in her unassigned seat.
"Morning Ms. Jones."
Her classmates starting piling in one by one. The clock struck 9:30 and her professor shut the door. "Good Morning class. Who read the assigned chapter?"
Bri looked up from her MacBook and looked around. No one raised their hands, so she took upon herself to raise hers.
"Okay Ms. Jones, can you reflect on what you read?"
Bri nodded and stood up. She pulled her shorts down before speaking. "An amoeba can do an unusual trick. It multiplies by dividing. After it grows into a certain size, the single cell divides into two to produce two amoebas in a twenty-four period, the two amoebas grow to the point where they divide again into quadruples and the next day there are eight amoebas."
Mr. Woods look satisfied with her answer. He moved from behind the podium. "What did she just explain?"
He looked around the class and pointed to a girl sitting behind Bri.
"She explained how amoebas reproduce themselves."
Brielle was done with her last class around eleven o'clock. She packed her bookbag, placing her beats over her head and walked out of the class. She pressed the 'B' and Key Glock x Amen blared through the headphones.
She rapped along to the song as she walked across campus to the cafe. Unaware of her surroundings because of the music, Bri did not know that she was being watched. She made it to the cafe door and swiped her ID. The door opened allowing her to walk through.
Brielle walked towards the main line and was not impressed. Mystery Meat Monday never made a good impression. She shook her head and walked towards the salad bar. She settled on a chicken Caesar salad and a Powerade to drink. She looked around and spotted an empty booth in the back.
She slid in the booth setting her stuff on the table. Bri fixed up her salad and began eating. She pulled her iPad out and flipped it over. She began sketching new jewelry designs. She was so into her sketch she didn't see Treyvon slide into the booth. He reached up and pulled her beats off her head.
Her head shot up quick. "What the fuck!"
She snatched her beats from him. "Fuck is your problem?"
He looked in her face and licked his lips. "You must didn't see me text you?"
Bri shook her and laughed. "Yes, I seen your text."
He mugged her and sat back. "So why didn't you reply?"
Shrugging her shoulders. "Because I didn't want to. You are not about to talk to me when you want. You ghost me, and then pop back up when you want. You do not want me for real. You want me to chase you and this is not that. Right plan, wrong girl."
Bri placed her iPad and beats in her bookbag and slung it on her shoulder when she slid out of the booth.
"Have a blessed day." She grabbed her trash and walked away.
Nigga got me fucked up she thought. She tossed her trash and walked out of the cafe. She started her walk across campus to her car. Coming up on it, she pulled her keys out and tapped the lock button three times. She opened the door and slid in placing her bookbag in the passenger seat.
She pulled out of her parking spot and zoomed out of the lot. After being in traffic for about thirty minutes, she pulled into the post office parking lot. Killing the engine, she grabbed her wallet and stepped out. She popped the trunk and grabbed the bin, she closed the trunk and walked towards the entrance.
She pushed the door open and shivered. They must have the AC on blast. She shook her head and walked to the counter. "Hey Ms. Lucy!"
The lady behind the counter looked up and smiled. "Hey Suga." Bri heart smiled.
"Shipping out some packages or picking up?" Bri lifted the bin and placed it on the counter.
"I'm doing some shipping; I don't think my packages will be here until next week."
Bri finished up at the post office and headed home by her lonesome. Guess I will do more orders and homework she thought. She stopped and got her something to eat before heading home.
