Ariana ran comfortably behind Caroline through the Forbes house, a new glistening daylight ring positioned on her finger and despite being on edge, she felt better than ever. It was perhaps the worst possible time for them to be tracked by the police, the local's hell-bent on destroying the vampires when Ariana had only just recently become one. Recent being an hour ago. And that was the exact reason that Caroline grasped her wrist tightly now, they would go on the road together and find a safer place. When they were there, Ariana could become comfortable with her new life. But only when they were safe.

As if on queue with their arrival at the doorstep, thankfully Ariana had been invited in by the Sherrif, Caroline's phone rang. She answered it at a quick pace.

"Mom! Hey"

"Caroline, where are you? And tell me it's far away" she was on edge, that much was clear.

"Where am I? Good question" Ariana had grown good and understanding the emotions in peoples voices from her years of being incapable of seeing it on their faces, that was why she knew that Caroline was tense and her mother was worried. "Uh, Just a whole lot of boring highways. Why? Is everything okay?" they left the house together, Ariana squinting under the glare of the light, not quite used to it just yet.

So much was new to the Gilbert girl now, not only did she now have the capability of seeing, Ariana Gilbert was now a vampire, a blood-sucking creature of the night but she could find no pain in the knowledge because, despite the absence of Nik, she had hope, a hope that for some reason, it wasn't quite over just yet, there was no finality to the grief she felt. Ariana had no time to comprehend what was happening when a needle was plunged into her neck.

Before that first dosage, the Gilbert girl never could've imagined the true effect of Vervain on the vampire body, it spread through her like a wildfire on dry ground and she was left weak, her home of darkness filling her vision in a pool before she could even get a look at her attacker's face. Weak to the effects of Vervain, Ariana was out in a second. All she could hope was that her slightly older vampire counterpart was more immune than she.

Ariana Gilbert was not having a good time. So far as a vampire, she had abandoned her twin sister and was now abducted by the local town council, chained to a bench opposite two blonde vampires in a moving car, the sound of sirens cutting through her head as she sighed weakly. Caroline looked at her neighbour with a look of complete distaste, Rebakah was only now coming around as Ariana glared at her. The sweet younger doppelganger had never been one to hold a grudge, perhaps that was her greatest flaw but her heart was filled with discontent as she looked at the girl who was supposed to be her friend sat uncomfortably, coming around from her enforced slumber with a groan.

Rebekah Mikaelson had murdered her and she wasn't sure if that was something that could be so easily forgiven. The original struggled against the bonds that held her, just as the other two had previously, assessing her situation. Rebekah seemed to be horrified at the sight of her brother's girlfriend relaxing opposite her, as a Vampire, vervain hissing against her skin.

The blonde girl knew that Nik would haunt her for the rest of her existence for this but why shouldn't the Salvatores feel the pain that she did? Her brother was dead because of them. Ariana hadn't been a part of the plan, only unfortunate collateral damage. But here she was, alive and breathing with a pissed-off expression.

"Vervain ropes" Caroline spoke to the original as though she was stupid, her words slow and drawn out and it was clear that all three of them would rather be anywhere else in that moment. "Looks like Alaric outed us all to the council."

"What the bloody hell is she doing here?" her head gestured to the upset newborn.

"They vervained her, the men that took us didn't know who she was so they shoved a needle in her and it worked. So she's going down with the rest of us" Ariana huffed at her friend's words, so far a group of human officers had managed to take down three immortal vampires in just an hour. Things were not going in their favour.

"The council... What exactly do they think they can do to me?" Her question was never answered however because like everything on that day, their situation ended in chaos. The van they were in crashed and flipped, raining glass splinters around them as they were all thrown dramatically around the vehicle, shaken as though in a tumble-dryer and then left uncomfortably coughing against the shards that swamped them. They'd crashed and Ariana was currently suspended looking down upon her friends, blood dripping from a wound on her forehead, falling softly onto the metal with a tinkering sound. The crash was collocal and they were lest groaning from the impact.

"What the hell happened?!" Rebekah sounded pissed yet the bonds continued to restrain them, Ariana wriggling uncomfortably from where she was partially hanging. The doors were next ripped off and Ariana sighed in audible relief as Tyler came into view. He was a face that they were all shocked to see but they had no time to discuss it. Initially looking at Caroline, his face morphed into one of grief and horror as he saw the little doppelganger struggling where she hangs. The way he stared at her caused a little dent to form on her brow in confusion, it was an emotion she couldn't place.

"Tyler?" Caroline was shocked, her voice made it clear as he released her from her hold.

"I'm Harder to kill than you think" he informed before turning his gaze upwards once more."Hanging in there Little one?" he wondered and she couldn't help the giggle that escaped her lips as he tore the ropes away, allowing her release. Tyler quickly caught her body when it fell into his arms, holding her gently as he placed her to the ground-much to her relief. The sound of sirens was quickly approaching and Tyler pointed to the forest on the right, ushering for Ariana to leave as he helped Caroline from the debris. Ariana followed orders in an instant, waiting beyond the treeline for them. They were quick to follow.

Ariana was surprisingly joyous to see that he had left Rebekah behind as he approached her in the trees, grabbing her around the shoulders somewhat gently and dragging her further away from the wreck. Things were changing in Mystic Falls, that much was clear. Yet she was not yet sure what the result would be.
