Ariana stood beside Elena, the pair of them working to paint their old guardians bedroom. Neither spoke to one another, the once blind girl feeling upmost devastation as she had only been able to see her one true loves face once before he met his untimely end... At the hands of her own sister in fact. Elena couldn't say sorry enough but secretly, deep down, she was glad that it had happened. Klaus had been nothing but a pain to them and she couldn't regret the decision to end him. Even if it had caused pain to her sister. It was the older twins opinion that inevitably, Ariana would feel more happiness than sorrow as a result of the events.

Unfortunately for the two twins, they still had a link and they would do until their guardian perished.

That was the reason that in the next moment, the two were laying side by side on the dust sheets, blood dripping from their noses like a faulty tap.

"Couch" Caroline ordered to Elena, temporarily ignoring the other twin as she had angrily remarked at her when the blonde tried to help her. They were now returning from the hospital after being admitted by their brother. Matt, Tyler and Jeremy all entered the Gilbert residence before Ariana and she couldn't find herself being anything but angry at them all as she slouched down into one of the old armchairs and snuggled into a thick blanket that resided there. In only a few short days, she had got everything she had ever wanted- her sight. And lost the thing she never thought to wish for... Klaus. Strangely, the feeling didn't come with her being over whelmed, she had been prepared for sight and now that she had it... She was over the moon.

The absence of one hybrid however was enough to dampen that good mood.

"I'm fine. I want something to eat first." Elena begged to the incessant blonde who half carried her along. Matt and Tyler looked like soldiers as they assessed the room with a penetrating gaze, as if Matt would be capable of doing anything to stop a supernatural creature... Ariana did however appreciate his efforts.

"We're on it" Tyler promised "As soon as we make sure no one's lurking in the closets."

"Alright couch. Now" Caroline urged again before looking over at Ariana with pity. For the first time, Ariana wished she was blind again, at least them she wouldn't have to see the pitying expressions on every single persons faces. It had taken her a while to understand the emotions on peoples faces, never having to do so before but she could still hear it in their voices.

"I told you, I'm fine" Elena grumbled again and even Ariana wished that Caroline would just leave the brunette alone... She could feel her sisters agitation.

"Doctor says rest, you rest" Caroline ordered once more, she was so good at nagging people to the point where they relented just to make her shut up. "Now what can I get you? Do you want some tea?" her gaze flickered to the other girl. "Maybe some vodka?... Both will help you sleep"

Ariana woke up, the air feeling tense around her and when her eyes finally peeled open, she was over the moon with who she saw. Never had she seen him before but she knew his aura. Elijah stood in the entrance of the Gilbert residence and his expression told that he was very unhappy about something. She only needed one guess to work out what. Vaguely, she was aware that Stefan had now joined them but she paid him no mind, being angry at him with no reason to forgive for now.

"Hello again" he greeted with a smile. He entered the kitchen quickly immediately getting down to business as Ariana joined them. "All we need to do is take that stake away from him. Once he's been disarmed, the weapon's in my possession, my family will scatter to the ends of the earth. " he promised, looking at the once blind girl slightly as he spoke, as though speaking to her over the others. He knew that she would listen to him. "And Alaric will follow us."

"And you'll just.. Run" Stefan questioned, sounding completely skeptical.

"We've done it before." Elijah informed.

"If you go" Ariana started, speaking for the first time throughout the entirety of the evening. "I'm coming with you" she looked him in the eyes and he smiled slightly, having expected her to say that exact statement. Stefan and Elena looked horrified.

"Ari!" Elena yelled. "You can't!"

"Elena, this is my decision to make and I have chosen. I would rather stick with a family that knows how to stand by one another, for a thousand years than one who stabs you in the back in less than twenty" she growled. She had made up her mind, it didn't matter if she was a human in a pack of original vampires, she chose them and that was her final word. They would show her the world and she knew it.

"That is fine by me, you somehow managed to thaw Niklaus' heart. That makes you family." he smiled softly and she returned it, ignoring the continued protests from her twin sisters. Blood was not the most important thing to them now. Loyalty was. "Klaus and Rebekah spent the better part of a thousand years evading my father. What's another half century while Elena's able to live out the rest of her natural life? And we show Ariana the world, like she has always desired."

"We finally stopped him Elijah" Elena informed, sounding exasperated and Ariana scoffed, rolling her eyes. Because after that whole entire conversation, that was all that mattered to Elena. Not her sister, not anybody... Just the defeating of Klaus. "After everything that he's done to us, I can't just let you bring him back."

"You can Elena" Ariana spoke, not even bothering to look at her 'twin'. "If I matter to you at all, if you really care about our family... Then you can... If you want any chance of forgiveness." she informed, looking over at her now. "Please Elena, I will only ask you once... And if then you still refuse... We're over... It's over..."

"Elena, I leave it to you to make the decision whether to trust me or not.. Whether to defy your sister again... Or not..." Elijah mused. "If you return Klaus' body to us" Ariana flinched and Elijah smiled sadly at her "Elena will come to no harm.... Do we have a deal?" Ariana was tense, holding her breath because she knew that the deal made in the next moment would decide her fate. Damon protested over the phone.

"Elena, it's up to you"

"Why do you want Klaus' body?" Elena wondered.

"He's my brother. We remain together." Ariana placed her hand on the originals shoulder and he held it softly there from where he sat as they waited. They knew now what side Ariana was on, she had finally decided.

"We have a deal" Elena informed, looking her sister in the eyes as she said it.
