Caroline suddenly vanished from Ariana's side with the harsh whipping sound of wind and grunts and groans followed. Eyes wide with their newly improving ability to see, she stumbled in the wake of the two blondes, gasping out and slinking back around the corner in shock when she saw them wrestling a tall man, of course she did not recognize him as she had never seen anybody before but from the sound of his groans and mumbles... She knew, this was Alaric, the Alaric which was currently supposed to be a rotting corpse at this same moment but was instead struggling behind the strength of both Caroline and Rebekah.
They forced the stake through into his stomach and retracted, walking slightly backwards in shock as he pulled it effortlessly from his chest, the movement only occupied by a slight groaning. Ariana was grabbed around the waist by Caroline and the two were instantly running, wind whipping all around them as their shoes clicked the hallways.
At her car, Caroline fumbled with her keys whilst Ariana protested, telling her that they should just run. They never got that opportunity however as the reflection of Alaric became visible within the window of the car.
Only one second later, Caroline's head was grabbed forcefully in his hands, yanked to the side as he smirked down at Ariana, his flesh sizzling under the bright glare of the summer day. As her eyes widened, she knew that she was in for trouble now.

Ariana struggled against the bounds of the ropes that pinned down her wrists, a gag in her mouth as she continued to attempt to break free, Caroline was certainly feeling worse than she, her skin sizzling from the vervain drenching the ropes and bounds that contained her.
As Ariana watched him, Alaric pulled out his phone, dialing a number though he never took his gaze off of her. She could see it all now, she was not certain if her sight was perfect as she had nothing to compare it to but she could see his form and his movements.

"Who else would it be?" he wondered in return to a question clearly asked by the person on the other end of the phone. "Listen closely" he paced "I'm at the school . I have Caroline and I have Ariana. And if you want to keep them alive, I need you to get into your car, and come down here right away." he continued and Ariana groaned and struggled, her head shaking as far as the bounds would allow. "If you tell anyone where you are going, I will kill them." he chuckled and the tone clicked as he hung up the phone on the straight haired doppelganger.
"Ariana" he mumbled, sitting on a desk directly in front so he could see her. "You are the worst of them all, you are in love with the king of all vampires, Klaus Mikaelson, the hybrid. I wonder what he would do to save you? Does he love you back?" Alaric wondered aloud, grabbing her chin so she had no choice but to stare at him whilst Caroline groaned in denial. "Maybe you are his plaything? I can see why he likes you, just like all the others. Even more similar now that your eyes work." he chuckled, smacking her across the cheek before pulling off the band around her mouth.
"If you kill me, Elena dies." Ariana informed. "We are still linked."
"I don't care." he retorted with raised eyebrows and Ariana frowned, hearing stress in his voice. That was when she realised, there was something going on undetected that was keeping him from killing the doppelgangers.
"Right on time." Alaric informed, turning around to face Elena as she entered, the brunette's eyes widening when they landed on the pencils pinning down the blonde vampires hands. The vampire was currently grunting and Groaning and Ariana continued in a bid to break free.

"Caroline" she mumbled before turning her gaze to Ariana who was relatively unharmed though tied up. "Ariana... Let them go, Alaric"
"Free them yourself" he shrugged and Elena ran straight to the one who was in the most pain at the current moment. Softly, the girl started to remove the pencil from Caroline's right hand but was halted when Alaric slammed it back in, causing the blonde girl to scream against the bound that held her from speaking.
"You said you would let her go!"
"How many times do I have to tell you, Elena? Stop trusting vampires!" he announced, causing Ariana to frown before the doppelganger was pushed down into a seat beside her sister.

"No! No more, please don't" Caroline trembled in an attempt and Ariana slammed her eyes closed, they burned slightly at the sudden light blaring into them from the surroundings, all the colours and shapes were surprising to her, seeing as though she had never seen them before, they were nothing like she expected them to be, but at the same time, they were everything she wanted them to be. She wondered how it was at all possible for her to experience happiness with her new sight during this situation.
"Alaric Stop!" Elena demanded but he pushed her back.
"Sit down!" he declared as he began to bind a newly updated vervain band around Caroline's mouth, making each breath in, agony. "This keeps the vervain in her system" he explained to them as easily as he had once told them about History. "It's like inhaling razor blades with every breath."
"Why are you doing this?" Elena wondered, working on untying Ariana which Alaric seemed to not mind her doing. The once blind Doppelganger was slowly freed and a plan was already forming in her head as she glanced around.
"To make it easier on you when you put her out of her misery." he smirked and the two brunettes gasped in return, eyes wide with horror.
"What? No!" Elena protested.
"I'll do it" Ariana informed, standing and the other two looked at her in shock.
"Now this is what we want!" Alaric cheered, grabbing her and dragging her toward Caroline, forcing a stake into her hand. "Now, you just have to push it into her heart, right through there." he whispered into her hair. As she swung to stab Caroline, her body arched toward Alaric, attempting to instead kill him with it. He grabbed her arm and glared at her.
"Now, that's what gets you people killed" he informed, grabbing harder but she merely smirked and a second later, he was being sizzled by vervain from the jar he had positioned on a desk, Elena making quick work to release Caroline from the table.
"Go!" Elena demanded and they all ran, Elena managing to not make it as Alaric grabbed her but as Ariana turned, her twin shot her a look to tell her to keep going and Ariana proceeded to run down the corridor, Caroline already gone.
Less than a second later, she felt a warm arm around her, holding onto her mouth to stop her from screaming and the sweet doppelganger whimpered.
"It's okay, it's okay" he promised her. "It's me, It's okay, you're safe" he rambled off softly as he released her and she turned with wide watery eyes.
"Nik" she whispered as his hands moved to her face.
That was the first time that Ariana Gilbert saw Niklaus Mikaelson and she was stunned.
