《✔️| Gilbert (K.M. Love Story)》~••♪1♪••~

The sun shone down on the most depressing of days, illuminating the small town of mystic falls despite the occupants aversion to the brightness, the town had lost one of its most compassionate members and the Gilbert siblings were left shattered.
Elena Gilbert walked beside her younger sibling through the graveyard, heading toward the grave of their guardian, the women who'd devoted the last year of her life to making the siblings feel happy again.
The dull stone, despite bearing her name, could never show a true representation of Jenna Sommers, her compassion to any being was enough to fill a thousand oceans and more, the sunlight of the day was the reflection of her spirit.
As Elena placed the rose upon her guardians grave, her mind couldn't help wonder to the day where her and her siblings had done the same thing for their parents though on that day, one more occupied the crowd.
Ariana Evangeline Gilbert had been the light of the family and the only thing holding them together though eventually even the toughest break, Aria had left mystic falls to pursue her musical dreams and Elena was proud to say that her twin sister had been accepted to Juilliard.
And so on that most depressing of days, Elena Gilbert was most defiantly surprised to glance up to see her identical twin sister after a year of separation.
"Aria?" Elena understandably needed reassurance of her presence though the females dazed eyes and glistening smile solidified her assumption.
"Lena?" The Gilbert girls wasted no time in rushing into one another's arms, surprisingly the blind Gilbert managed to find her way to her sister without tripping and that was a miracle alone.
"Where is Jeremy?" She queried, not being able to see him due to her blindness though her sense of hearing had always been more extreme.

"I'm right here Ari" she felt arms around her and the peppermint smell allowed her to instantly feel at home, now knowing it was Jeremy.
"I've missed you!" Ariana cheered, she truly was the definition of happiness despite her situation.
"We missed you to" Jeremy smiled, her joy was infectious despite the fact that they were at a funeral.
"Who else is here?"
"Bonnie and Caroline" Jeremy smiled when he saw her beam, she held her hand out, palm facing upwards, it was something she always did as a greeting to make sure they were there.
"Ari!" They both greeted and gripped her hands, she smiled and they all greeted each other in an unusual happiness, eventually they got back to the matter at hand and every person placed a single rose upon the graves of John and Jenna.
"Ariana, do you want to meet my boyfriend?" Elena asked hesitantly as they all headed to the exit of the graveyard, as a way of answering; Ariana nodded and offered her hand to Elena, usually Ari had her stick with her but today she did not.
"Stefan, Damon, this is my sister; Ariana" Elena greeted and Ari looked up slightly, the darkness she saw lightened only a sliver as the sun reflected in her eyes.
"It is very nice to meet you" Ari smiled and put her hand out in front if her, she hoped that it was in their general direction though neither had spoken so she was uncertain of their location.
"It is nice to meet you, Elena speaks very highly of you" a voice greeted and she felt a hand press to her own, following her to shake it. "I'm Stefan" she focused on his voice, memorizing it.
"I'm Damon" a more sarcastic and gruff voice introduced and a larger hand shook her own, now knowing she'd greeted them both, she allowed her hand to drop.

"Come on Ari, we're going home now" Elena's voice floated through her ear and she nodded, placing her hand in Elena's and allowing her sister to guide her through the headstones to the parking lot.
~••♥Time skip♥••~
A few days had passed since the funeral of Jenna Sommers and a new horror hit the town, Damon Salvatore lay on his deathbed, unable to talk let alone move due to his pain. Since that happened, Stefan Salvatore gave himself over to the original hybrid; Niklaus Mikaelson in exchange for a cure to heal Damon.
Ariana was left with whiplash from the events, she had forever knew of the supernatural existence, Elena told her everything but being in the middle of it was far worse than anticipated, not a day went by that everyone was happy.
"Ari?" She recognized the voice of her new guardian; Alaric Saltzman, he had moved in with the Gilbert siblings and for that, Ariana was grateful.
"Yes Alaric?"
"Your sister wants you"
"Where is she?"
"Kitchen" when Ari had first gotten home, Alaric had attempted to aid her as much as possible though eventually he found that she could do things for herself, in fact she did not need any help.
"Elena?" Ariana called out when she entered the kitchen, she knew where in the house she was by the texture of the wall under her fingertips. People often pitied her, considered her disabled though she never understood the pity, she had never known anything different so she could not miss sight.
"Aria" Elena's voice cheered and from that, she could identify where her sister was, Ariana turned to her older twin sister, aware that her eyes were probably not facing in the correct direction.
"I'm going to go over to the Salvatore house to check on Damon, do you want to come?"
"Of course" Ari smiled and made her way back down the corridor, her hand reaching out for her sunglasses on the table by the door, she knew where everything was and that is why it saddened her when things got moved.
"Why do you wear glasses?" Alaric asked, he did not want to seem rude but he noticed she always wore glasses over her eyes, despite not being able to see.
"It distracts from my eyes, I don't always know what I'm looking at, I don't want people to think I'm staring at them." She explained gently.
"I'm sorry" the history teacher apologized sincerely.
"Do not feel sorry for something you have no control over, you were curious, I cannot blame you for that."

I hope you enjoy reading my book as I enjoy writing it! It’s a side project of mine and I can currently only write in my free time, which is not a lot unfortunately. I do not know how many chapters a week I will be able to produce, however, the word count will be around 6000-7000 per week. If you like the story you can support me on patreon and read chapters ahead of current release. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Disclaimer: The story might not be for the faint hearted or for those seeking an over-powerd plot guarded golden cow of a mc. The story will start out slowly and will pick up a bit of pace later on on, however, the character/s will walk a long and full of despair road. No sugar-coating in this story. Another thing to have in mind is that I currently do not have a proofreader nor an editor, so some mistakes might slip through my fingers, if you notice any such, please do leave a comment so I can fix them for future readers. Do please enjoy the story and feel free to leave reviews and or comments, I am usually pretty open and would love to answer some of your questions!

Tabula Rasa : An Unbound Adventure
It starts as many things do: a clean slate, an empty page. What once was set in stone and wholly writ is gone, and all that's left is the vague notion of absence, a fullness lacking. The feeling of being tetherless, pathless, without direction or responsibility is something many would find terrifying. Others might find it freeing - an opportunity to strike out on new adventures and explore the unknown.Either way, first they have to figure out where they are and how they leave. ====== My first novel on this platform! An avid GameLit/LitRPG fan, I decided to start writing this when I seemed to exhaust all of my options for well reviewed content on the site! Inspiration for the world/general feeling is a mix of Azarinth Healer, Abyssal Road Trip, Winterborn, and the Power of Ten series, with a strong reliance on 3.5 and PF1 frameworks as a scaffold for the world. I see Arc 1 as a Robinson Crusoe style coming to terms scenario, lots of exploration of the System, the MC's options, the island and encounters with the denizens and visitors of the Timeless Isle, with a non-zero amount of introspection around their long term goals. I'll publish as frequently as I'm able but don't have a regular cadence planned at the moment.
