I grabbed the carton of eggs and meet Tyler outside.
“Hey,” I said.
“You brought the stuff?”
“Don’t be a dork,” I said as Chelsea walked outside.
“What are you doing here?” I asked.
“Who do you think thought of the idea?” she said taking the eggs.
“I’ll meet you guys there. Save some eggs for me,”
“Will do,” Tyler said walking away.
I hurried to catch up to him.
“Are we really doing this?”
“Do you want to turn back?” he asked.
“Not really,” I said walking next to him.
“Alright then,”
We walked in silence for a while before I thought of something.
“Why are you doing this?”
“Cheaters are scum,” he said. “And, I care about you Ryan, I got to know you a little and no one hurts you but me,”
I smiled. “So he does have a heart,” I joked.
Tyler pushed me jokingly as we finally reached Leo’s house.
Chelsea was already there.
“She’s our escape car,” he said taking out two eggs.
“Are his folks home?” he asked me eyeing the car in Leo’s driveway.
“Looks like his dad is. They are probably watching a game in the basement. They won’t hear a thing,” I said as Chelsea walked over to us.
“Ready?” she asked taking out two eggs.
“Mom can bail us out of jail right?” I asked.
Tyler rolled his eyes and threw the eggs at Leo’s house.
Chelsea joined them and I did too.
We finished the carton moment’s later and Leo’s house was covered in eggs.
“Let’s go!” Tyler said running to the car.
We all ran after him and Chelsea drove us home.
Once we were all inside my house we laughed and sat down in the living room.

“What a rush,” I said.
“I know, but now I have to buy eggs,” Chelsea said.
I laughed. “Sucks for you. Oh, I never got paid,”
“Oh yea,” Tyler said. “Tomorrow,”
“Deal,” I said shaking his hand.
“I’ll get you the tickets and the money tomorrow,”
“Thank you,” I said standing up.
“Who wants grape soda?” I asked.
“I’m good,” Chelsea said as Tyler nodded his head.
I grabbed two cans from the fridge and sat back down.
Tyler turned on the T.V and we watched Two and a Half Men together.
During the froth episode the phone rang.
Chelsea looked at the caller ID and handed me the phone.
“Hello?”
“Ryan?” Leo said on the other line.
“Yeah?”
“You will no believe what just happened to my house,”
“What?” I asked fighting my urge to laugh.
“Someone egged my house,”
“Karma,” I said.
“Huh?”
“It’s what you get for cheating on me Leo. Why did you call me anyway, what happened to Anna,”
“I didn’t want to talk to her, I wanted to talk to you. Listen, Ryan, I’m so sorry about what happened. I want you, I know that,”
I smiled a little. “Promise?”
“I love you,”
I smiled. “I love you more,”
Chelsea and Tyler looked at me in shock.
“I’ll text you later,” I said.
“Bye love,”
“Bye,” I said hanging up.
“Don’t judge me!”
“I should go,” Tyler said getting up.
“Bye,” Chelsea said.
“Text you later,”
“Yup,” she said as he left.
“What?” I asked.
“Tyler, doesn’t like cheaters. He hates them,”
“I know, but,”
“I don’t want to see you hurt,”
“I know,” I said.
“Night kid,” Chelsea said walking to her room.
I sighed and went to my room.
At least I have Leo back.

The Emperor's Chef
"Cook like your life depends on it, kid. Because it does." Charles had an enviable future lined up for him. Training from the age of five by some of the finest chefs in the world. Schooling at a top culinary academy in the capital. An honorable position as heir to House Boulier, a line of merchant-lords who have charmed the rich and powerful with their cooking for centuries. And in a single night, it all burned to ash. When the outbreak of war destroys his hometown, Charles is charged with escorting his family’s sacred treasure—a recipe book passed down for untold generations—out of harm's way. But his simple mission grows complicated when he’s captured by one of the most feared battalions in the world: the Spears of Mercy. Life as a prisoner in their war camp is brutal and uncertain. Charles has few allies and even fewer strengths to rely on. Only his skills in the culinary arts, honed over a lifetime in the kitchen, are deemed useful enough to keep him alive another day. But he’s not out of hope just yet. With a dash of wit, a pinch of luck, and some very creative cooking, he might just find a way to recover his family’s legacy and take back his freedom. This project is a food-themed fantasy that centers on cooking and chefs. The setting spans a wide world featuring ingredients/recipes both real and inspired by traditional fantasy. I'll eventually be publishing it as a full-length novel (or series of novels depending on length). These are the first draft chapters. I'll likely be re-writing more than once, then editing before publishing, so impressions and feedback are quite welcome. If you like the story so far and you're interested in being an early reviewer for the final product, feel free to message me. I'm looking for an artist to make some concept art and a cover (the cover shown here is just a temporary placeholder). A stand-alone novel for now, but it may turn into a series down the road.

8 2003 Hearts
With three hearts in one body, in a world that is inhabited by beings that are trying to kill me. How did I Civitas end up like this, although I was born completely normal... or was I? [NOTE: Ok since I am not able to bring my depressed ass to writing regularly, chapters come when they come. I can't guarantee anything, but I'll try to make chapters more frequent. Btw. In my opinion, my writing gets better after like chapter 6, so I recommend reading at least this far.]
