Lisa woke up without her guard up for the first time in a while.

It was still dark and there was a stillness throughout the house. It was a surreal kind of experience for her, the last while had been so crazy, living in the city with someone constantly looking over her and now things were quiet and still out here and it was nice to finally have some room to breath.

She sat up in bed and took a proper look around the room. It was very definitely Achilles' room. The bedsheets smelled liked him and so did the rest of the room. However, there wasn't any indication further than that that it belonged to him though, no pictures or any kind or personalisation had went into this room.

Lisa pushed herself up and out of the bed. She had actually ended up forgetting her pajamas to sleep in so she had ended up just sleeping in one of Achilles' shirts. She was sure he wouldn't mind.

She walked out of the room, it was still very quiet, so she just assumed that he was probably still asleep on the sofa. She walked into the living room where there was a very asleep and a very naked Achilles. Averting her eyes from him, she softly called his name.

'Um..Achilles.'

While Lisa was staring awkwardly at the ceiling, his eyes flicked open and he yawned loudly.

'Good morning Lisa.' He sat up slightly and positioned his arms on the back of his head, which unfortunately made the view all that clearer.

'Is there any reason why you're staring at the ceiling?'

'Take a wild guess, and then put some clothes on please.'

He chuckled and then proceeded to sit up on the sofa. 'I hope my nakedness isn't scaring you too much Lisa - you could always give me the shirt you're wearing, I do believe it is mine.'

She blushed slightly at what he had said. 'Dream on.'

'Just because we're on each other's side doesn't mean I'm going to stop feeling attraction to you Lisa.' He gave a sultry laugh.

'I do like you Achilles, and I am attracted to you. I just don't know how to process those feelings with everything that's going on.' She said softly.

She did like him and she could definitely feel something developing, but she still didn't 100% know exactly how she felt about this guy. That being said, he wasn't even a guy, he was an incubus. Entering into a relationship with him would be a serious commitment.

'That's okay, I'm not protecting you under some sort of pretense that we need to be together.' He stood up and looked down at her from his height.

'Now maybe it's time for me to put some clothes on before you go into shock Lisa.'

She tried her best not to stare as he walked past.

'So I need to go out for a while, I'll be back before dark.' Achilles said to Lisa, leaning fully clothed against the counter.

'Where are you going?' Lisa asked him softly, surely he wasn't just going to leave her alone?

'I have some stuff that I need to do.' He said vaguely.

Lisa raised an eyebrow. 'Can't you tell me what it is? This is what started a problem last time.'

He sighed and looked at the ceiling. 'You're not coming Lisa, it's too dangerous.'

'At least tell me where you're going.'

'I'm going to Hire an Incubus.'

'Why in the hell would you go there?!' Lisa said, her voice shrill.

'They still have my details in the system somehow. I need to deal with that. Promptly.'

'Please, let me come, I could help.'

'No, absolutely not.'

'You can't make my decisions for me.' Lisa crossed her arms and stared defiantly up at him. She stood up from the table which she was sitting at and attempted to square up to him.

'Whatever.' He said in a strained voice.

'It could be a bonding experience.'

Lisa had to steady herself when they arrived on one of the side streets off Hire an Incubus. She still wasn't used to the weird teleportation thing that Achilles did.

'You're going to have to do that more often so I can get used to it.'

'Now why would I do that when watching you wobble around for a minute afterwards is so funny?' He laughed.

'Oh ha ha, now come on, let's do this thing!'

'We're going to have to get in through one of the back entrances. I never remember them being too pushed on security, plus the definitely won't be expecting us to show up here, this shouldn't be too difficult.'

Behind the huge skyscraper that Hire an Incubus was, there wasn't much except a huge staff parking lot. It was empty apart from the vehicles, there didn't seem to be anyone, human or else around.

'There's a door there, we can get in there.'

'Won't someone catch us?' Lisa asked.

'They don't really use a lot of the space they have, it's just empty offices, the whole big corporation building thing is really for show. Come on'

What they saw when they busted the lock on the door to get in wasn't what she had expected; it was just a dark, unused office space. It was eerie looking and it definitely didn't coincide with the lavishly built up offices and she had seen before.

'This is weird. It's too quiet here.' Lisa said softly as they walked in silence through the empty corridor.

'We need to get to a computer, I'll be able to get into the system from there.' He said in reply, seemingly disregarding her statement, it was like he had gone in to a completely different head space.

It wasn't until they walked up a set of stairs that they were plunged into light. Another corridor, with offices along it.

'Most incubi work at night so we shouldn't have a problem, we should try one of these rooms, by looks of it this is mostly administration offices.'

Then one of the doors opened.

It was a small blonde woman. Her eyes widened in shock as she took in the sight of Achilles standing there and opened her mouth to scream.

'You're....You're Ach-' She began to scream, but as if she had been taken up by some kind of trance, she stopped suddenly.

Lisa stared, at her, her pupils had dilated to the max and there was a vacant expression on her face. It wasn't until she looked up at Achilles, whose now red eyes were burning in to her with the scariest focus she had ever seen on her face. His voice dropped an octave as he spoke.

'Don't scream, don't make any noise actually, don't even speak. Do you understand?'

The woman nodded softly.

'Achilles what are you doing to her?' Lisa asked, getting increasingly uncomfortable with what was happening.

He didn't reply to her and kept on speaking in that strange voice. 'Now, open that door and get access to that computer okay?'

The woman slowly turned around and opened the door to the office, she turned on the computer and Achilles closed and locked the door behind them.

He then let out a tired sigh and the woman reanimated again.

'What the hell are you doing in my office, what the hell do you want with me?!' She jumped up and rushed for the door, and scrambled for the lock, but she wasn't fast enough and Achilles positioned himself between her and the door.

He locked eyes with her again and then she froze in the spot where she was, still clearly very distressed. 'Hell help me, I will kill you if you don't shut up and listen to me right now.'

'Achilles please.' Lisa whispered, she was starting to feel the woman's fear herself.

'Lisa, be quiet please.' He said, still not breaking eye contact with the woman.

'Now, I need you to sit down on that computer of yours and get rid of any trace of me and my friend here, Lisa Farrow and you know what my name is.' He strained a smile.

'Okay.' She said, her voice shaking. 'If I do this, will you leave me alone?'

'Of course. It's all that I ask.' He said, his voice lighter.

Lisa looked on as she frantically typed on the computer. After a few tense minutes of silence, she breathed out and said; 'Okay, it's done.'

Achilles' face softened. 'Lovely, what's your name?'

'Sarah.' The lady said softly.

'Well Sarah, now I know who I'll be coming back for if someone tries to harm either of us.' He laughed slightly and Sarah winced.

Before Lisa could say anything, to protest how unnecessarily menacing he was being, he took her arm and in a blur they were back in the hallway of his house.

Lisa teared herself away from him. 'What the hell was that about?!' She screamed at him. 'You can't treat people like that Achilles!'

She stared angrily into those red eyes of his. 'You need to explain right now what happens to you when you get like that, when you eyes change colour!'

He just exhaled sharply. 'Lisa, what I did I did for the both of us. You can't expect me to excuse what I am. I've been doing things a certain way for a while now, if you didn't want to see that you shouldn't have come.'

'No! People can change the way they do things, it's part of being human!'

He laughed slightly. 'You seem to forget that I'm not human Lisa, maybe if you used that brain of yours you'd realise that.'

Lisa glared at him and tried to resist the urge to punch him in the face. 'God stop being such an ass!'

When he just laughed the urge became too much she slapped him across the face. 'God what is your problem?!'

'What's my problem? What's my problem? You just hit me!' He moved closer to her, she could feel heat radiating off him.

Her back was pressing into the wall. 'I'm sorry! I shouldn't have done that.' She wasn't sure how she was feeling, she couldn't tell whether to feel fear or whatever that feeling was that was building in the pit of her stomach from being so close to him.

'It's okay sweetie, I probably deserved that, I was being a dick, I'm sorry.'

'It's okay.' she stuttered.

'Let me make it up to you.' He said, his hands moved to her waist. She was sure now, it definitely was a positive feeling she was feeling.

She felt one of his hands twist into her hair as his lips met hers. There was a hunger to the kiss, but also something else, longing maybe?

She was breathless as he lifted her, her legs looping around his waist. He carried them into his room and he set her down gently on bed. They continued to kiss, she deepened it and her hands got caught up in his hair. She moaned into his mouth and then started to pull her shirt over her head. Was this what she was expecting? No, but was she ready? Oh yes.

As she pulled her shirtoff she felt him stiffen and suddenly move away. She could see his now once again grey eyes full of something, not fear, something deeper and a lot more sad.

'Lisa, I'm sorry, I can't'.

He got up and left with out another word.
