She laid back on the couch and I kept staring at her, confused.

Why is she being like this? She hated sleeping on the couch, right? Then why suddenly she is behaving like this?

Whatever it is I should just ignore it.

What she did today, after that I can't trust her.

I laid back on the bed with hands resting on my temples. I don't know why but I was not able to sleep peacefully. I kept changing sides on the bed. In the end, I got up from the bed and went to check up on Ryan, to see if he is fine or not. Opening the door of his room, I saw my baby sleeping peacefully hugging his teddy.

I smiled to myself. I went inside the room and sat beside him.

Tracing my hand through his hair I said "Dad loves you baby. I will protect you with my life. I won't let that happen again, I am not like Brittany. Sorry, that I couldn't reach in time today and those boys bullied you, but from next time I promise I won't let anything like that happen to you."

I kissed his forehead.

I don't want him to go through any kind of pain again. He has gone through a lot, not anymore.

Making my way out of his room, I came back to my room just to see Bella sleeping on the couch, uncomfortably. She kept moving and once it looked like she would fall from the couch any moment. I went to her and picked her up in bridal style and placed her on the bed. As soon as I placed her on the bed she hugged the pillow.

I smiled.

I went to the other side and laid. When still I was unable to sleep. I pulled her close to me and wrapped my arm around her waist. Her head rested on my chest, I don't know what is it but when she sleeps like this it makes me feel happy. She smells so sweet.

I can sleep peacefully now.

The next morning I woke up and found the bed empty beside me. I looked around the room, but she was nowhere. I got up from the bed and went to the washroom, doing all my morning stuffs when I came out the room was still empty. Getting ready for office, I went downstairs.

There she was, feeding Ryan.

Isn't he big enough to eat the food on his own?

I sighed and went to them, taking a seat in front of Ryan I greeted him. "Morning."

"Good Morning Dad."

Maria served me the breakfast, I kept looking at Bella wishing that she would look at me at least once, but she didn't. I started eating my food, whenever my eyes went to Bella I saw her either nodding to what Maria was saying or feeding Ryan. She didn't spare me even a single glance the whole time.

Getting irritated by her behaviour I got up from my seat and picked my coat from the chair. I was about to leave when Maria called "Sir, breakfast."

Without turning around I said "Not hungry anymore." With that I left.

Driving my way to my company, I went in. I was fuming with anger all the time.

How does this girl always manage to piss me off?

I reached my office, taking my seat I started working. Chloe, my assistant came in after few minutes. Discussing with her about my whole day schedule, I told her to bring me a coffee. I really need a coffee right now.

Spending all my time thinking about Bella I felt guilty for what I said to her yesterday. She didn't do that purposely. But me being me, I lost my mind that time and scolded her.

Finally, when it was the time of a meeting I decided to take her out of my head and just focus in the meeting. But who was I kidding here, she doesn't want to get out of my head. The whole time I was in the meeting I was just thinking about her and my employees were looking at me with a surprised look as I have never been so lost during any meeting.

She's driving me crazy.

I cancelled all my other meetings. I was not in a condition to attend any other.

Okay fine, I'll apologise to her once I reach home. I'll say sorry to her, I am sick and tired of feeling so guilty. If a sorry can solve this, then be it like that.

After sometime, my phone rang. I looked at the caller id saw it was Bella. A stupid grin spread on my lips, I picked up the call.

"Yes." I said in a stern voice.

"Liam, this is me Bella." Finally, her voice. Since morning this is the first time I have heard her voice.

"Yeah, I know." I said in the same stern tone.

"Liam, actually I needed to go out to the store, I have somethings to buy. Can I go? I promise I won't take Ryan. He will stay at home with Maria."

Okay... so why is she asking me?

Ha! How can I forget, I myself made those stupid rules.

"Liam." I was snapped out of my thoughts when she called me.

Clearing my throat, I said "Yeah."

"Can I go?" she asked again.

A thought crossed my mind.

If I say 'no' then she'll try to convince me and I would love to hear that. All her complains about me and non-stop talkings when she wants something.

"No. You can't. You can send Maria." I said.

She didn't say anything for few minutes. I waited patiently for her to start talking and fighting me, with that silly grin on my face.

She finally said "Okay." With that she hung up.

"What?" I looked at my phone.

"Did she just hung up?"

I stared at my phone in disbelief.

"You got to be kidding me right now."

I stood up from my seat. I was beyond pissed this time. I threw everything that was on my table in frustration.

"You are really testing me Bella."

I went out of my office, I saw Chloe in her office. I went in and said "I am leaving. Get my office cleaned up."

She stood up from her seat and said "Sir at what time you'll return."

"Tomorrow." I said.

"But Sir where are you going, it's just lunchtime now." she said.

"I don't think I have to answer you that. I don't pay you to ask me questions."

She looked down and said "Sorry Sir."

I rolled my eyes and left.

Driving my way back home, I went in. Searching in the living room, kitchen, I found Bella nowhere. Not even Ryan. I kept my coat on the couch, opened the first two buttons of my shirt.

I saw Maria in the kitchen, I went to her. "Maria."

She turned around, she was shocked at first to see me. "Sir?"

"Where's Bella?" I asked.

"Sir she's in the playroom with Ryan."

I nodded and headed to Ryan's playroom. When I entered his playroom, I saw Ryan playing and Bella, sitting on a stool staring at her phone with a sad look.

"Dad." Ryan said, with a surprised look on his face. Listening to Ryan, Bella looked up from her phone and stood up instantly, with confusion all over her face.

I smiled at Ryan "I need to talk to Bella, she'll come back after few minutes."

Ryan looked at Bella with a suspicious look, Bella stood there frozen.

"Bella, I need to talk to you." I said again when she did not move from her place.

She nodded. I went out of the room and she followed me.

When we were finally out of the room I turned to face her "What is your problem Bella?"

She looked up at me in confusion. "I didn't do anything."

"And that's what is so irritating."

"What?"

I held both her arm, harshly pulling her closer to me "You wanted to go out right? You had somethings to buy."

She nodded, scared. "B-But when y-you said no, I didn't g-go."

"And you didn't try to convince me either."

"T-That was in t-the rules. If y-you s-said 'no' I'll have to agree t-to it."

I pulled her more close to me, our lips were just few inches away from each other "Fuck with the rules. Stop being annoying."

She looked in the eye and said "What do you want me to do Liam, you wanted me to follow your rules I am doing that, I am doing exactly whatever you told me to do, what more do you want from me. I am being what you wanted me to be like but st-"

I cut her off by placing my lips on hers. I pushed her against the wall, my hand that was on her arms, travelled down to her waist, my other hand cupped her cheek. She was shocked by my sudden actions, her eyes were wide open. I closed my eyes and kissed her, while she was trying to figure out my action.

I deepened the kiss, tilting my head slightly to one side. I sucked hard on her lower lip, she slowly tried to respond to the kiss. Her actions caused me to smile inwardly. She clutched onto my shirt tightly, closing her eyes. Our lips moved in sync, she was trying to copy me, by doing what I was doing. Not wanting to pull away but still we had to. I rested my forehead against her closing my eyes breathing heavily.

This kiss. Christ!

I have never in my life felt like this. Never in my whole life, has my heart beaten for someone. Never in my whole life I've kissed someone so passionately.

Why does kissing her feels so different?

"Jesus Bella! What are you doing to me?"

I opened my eyes to see her, her eyes were closed. I pulled away, she is beautiful.

Slowly she opened her eyes, she looked at me then bit her lips. My eyes were just on her following her each and every action. She then looked away from me, her eyes were roaming everywhere except me.

I moved away from her and she found an escape, she was about to leave, when I held her hand from behind.

She froze, without turning around I said "I'm sorry, for last night."

With that I left her hand and went to my room.
