I blew smoke in the air as I stared at the group of girls chatting to themselves. I leaned against my car took another drag of the cigarette. The girls simultaneously looked at me and I just stared at them as I blew the smoke.

I heard a chuckle beside me,"Let me guess, the girl left with Marcus again," he said and I turned to glare at him.

Jason.

"What the fuck do you want here? Last time I checked, you dropped out of highschool," I sneered.

"And I don't regret it. Fucking girls and partying is better than being in school," he said and stood beside me.

I sighed,"What are you doing here, Jason?" I took a drag on the cigarette.

"I should be asking you that. James is not going to be happy when he finds out you don't have the girl," Jason said with a smirk.

"How can I if she's around Marcus 24/7. Literally, because I saw that Marcus sleeps at her house since her parents are gone," I said. I saw Spencer and Leo appear behind Jason and stand on either side of him.

"James wants to see you," Spencer stated and I rolled my eyes, though fear running through my body.

I had promised James that I would take Alyssa out and that's when he'd make his move but Alyssa was with Marcus so I had no chance. I looked at Spencer and nodded. I dropped the cigarette to the floor and crushed it with my shoe. I got in my car, Jason, Spencer and Leo got in as well. I started the car and drove to where James' temporary house was.

"So--"

"Shut the fuck up, Spencer. I don't need anybody talking right now," I said sternly.

Spencer obeyed and Leo narrowed his eyes at me,"Just because you didn't complete the boss' orders, doesn't mean you have to lash out on people."

I ignored him as I slowed the car to a stop after a quick drive to his house. I quickly got out of the car and walked to the huge gate guarded by four security guards. "I'm here to see James," I stated and the security guards looked at eachother before moving away and the gate slid open. Jason, Spencer, Leo and I walked in as we got stared at and entered the house.

James was talking to a group of guys wearing fancy suits. James turned to me and anger flashed in his eyes. A chill ran down my spine. He turned to the men in suits,"Thank you for coming, I'll see you tomorrow." James nodded at the men and they walked past me, eyeing me. I glared at them until they walked out the house, then I turned to James.

"Come here," he said, expressionless. He turned around and walked to a hidden door right beside the stairs. He opened it and walked in.

"We'll stay here," Leo said and I clenched my jaw and I nevrously followed James to the basement. I walked down the long stairs and finally reached the base.

The sight made my heart ache.

No Trick, they deserve this.

Angelo and Percy were each cuffed to poles. Both of them looked miserable: hair messy and damp, skin sweaty and bloody and looked tired. James kicked Percy and Percy opened his eyes and looked at James. "Oh..." he breathed. "You."

"And look who else paid a visit," James said and Percy furrowed his eyebrows and turned to me. His eyes widened and started trying to get out the cuffs that tied his hands together.

"You fucking jerk," Percy spat and realised he wouldn't break free so he slumped to the floor, weak. James chuckled and leaned against the wall, staring at them. Percy and Angelo were tied up for refusing to take Alyssa and give him to James. They threatened James that they were going to warn Marcus but they were knocked out by James' gang and tied down here. For almost a week.

Angelo stared at me in so much hatred then he laughed wearily,"You haven't got Alyssa don't you?" I stopped feeling sympathetic towards him and I stared at him coldly. "You're never going to get her," he said.

"Fuck you, Angelo." I sneered at him.

"Marcus is with her and he knows that you're in the fucking rival gang. He is not going to let you anywhere near her," Angelo finished, glaring at me. I looked back at James.

"About that. Why haven't you got Alyssa with you? I thought you said this was the day you bring Alyssa," James said.

I was silent for a few seconds before I answered,"She's with Marcus, and the twins." Sam and Kendall were the twins. I knew they weren't but they looked like it.

Percy chuckled.

"Where are they now?" he asked, stepping closer.

"I last saw them enter the boys' locker room," I replied and I slowly backed away.

"You fucking told me that she'd be out on a date with you. And then that's when my boys would make their move to take her," he said.

"I know, I know. The problem is that she doesn't like me in that way anymore..." I trailed off.

Percy and Angelo laughed,"Of course, who would like you?" Angelo quipped and James clenched his jaw, took out his gun and pointed at Angelo, still looking at me. Angelo's eyes widened as he stilled.

"I don't fucking care if she likes you or not. Just get her to go out with you and bring her here or I'm going to get Jason to do for me," he said sternly,"And I won't let you get away that easy. Understood?"

I stared at him as fear ran through my body. I slowly nodded,"Understood."

James lowered the gun and grinned,"Good."

"Focus..." I stared at the apple sitting on top of the bottle that was metres away from me. "Aim..." I slowly pointed my gun to it and I narrowed my eyes, closing one eye. "Fire." I pulled the trigger and the gun went off. I opened my eyes and looked at Marcus and he was smiling.

I looked back at the apple and walked closer to it to see that there's a hole in the middle of the apple. I grinned, "Oh fuck yes!" I screamed in joy and I turned to the boys. "I finally did it!" After almost a million tries to shoot the apple, I did it. And it was almost dark out.

I rushed to Marcus, Sam and Kendall who stood next to eachother. I wrapped my arms around them, pulling them into a group hug, "Thank you guys."

"No problem," they said simultaneously.

I let go and rushed to the house, "Come on, I want to show the guys," I said and I entered the house and saw the some of the guys playing cards at the coffee table.

"Guys, I learnt how to gun," I happily said.

"Oh." Chase forced a smile and looked back at his cards.

"That's great." Erik forced a smile too and looked down, carrying on to play.

I frowned and pointed the gun upwards and shot the ceiling. Sam and Kendall chuckled while Marcus shook his head, smiling. The boys didn't look fazed, they just looked at me with a blank expression. I had expected them to get a fright and maybe... start clapping for me but they were gangmemebers.

"Seriously?" Ian quirked his eyebrow, "We have to get Cameron to fix that."

"You're out of your fucking mind," Cameron mumbled.

I sighed and sat on the coffee table, purposely messing up their cards by sitting on them and moving around. Erik groaned and slumped back onto the couch,"Great, just when I was about to win."

I chuckled and my phone vibrated. I took out my hoodie pocket and checked was calling me.

I looked at Marcus who was staring at me. I stood up and when I passed Marcus, he held my wrist. "Sit here and answer it," he told me sternly. I hesitantly nodded and sat on the coffee table and pressed answered the call and put it on speaker.

"Hey Trick," I said and everyone in the room paused and looked at me.

"Hey love," Trick said and Marcus chuckled to himself as he clenched his fists.

"How are you?" I asked and nevrously tapped my fingers on the edge of the coffee table. I wasn't comfortable with everyone staring at me while I had a conversation with someone on the phone. Especially when my boyfriend hated that person and all the men staring at me looked like models.

"I'm good, you?" Trick said but to be honest, he didn't sound that good.

"I'm great," I replied, staring at Marcus. He stared back at me, his jaw clenched and a look of anger in his eyes.

I knew he didn't like me talking to Trick. At all.

"Say... are you with Marcus?" Trick asked and my heart pounded harder and faster as my breath hitched. Marcus slowly shook his head and I nodded, understanding.

"No. I left him after practice," I replied.

"Okay, well I wanted to take you somewhere," he said and the boys looked at me again.

"Trick, it's almost eight. Where would you take me this late?" I asked.

"You know... movies. Then we can go to the woods. The place where we kissed and you told me you liked me," Trick said and I knew he was smiling.

I turned to Marcus and I saw him glare at me, his eyes showed that he was hurt. I shook my head, wanting to drop the phone and tell him that it was from long time ago where I thought he liked Bree. I held Marcus' hand and intertwined it, hoping that he wouldn't leave because I had a feeling he wanted to.

"Yes," I said softly. "But that was when I thought Marcus liked Bree. I really did like you, Trick, but... it was my mind speaking not my heart. Right now, my heart has someone else," I said into the phone but it was also directed to Marcus since we were staring at eachother while I spoke. My heart fluttered when I saw his lips slowly tug up to a smile that reached his eyes.

"Oh, Marcus," Trick said with no emotion and Marcus smiled wider and I nodded.

"Yes, Marcus." I answered.

"Are you going able to go with me? I already bought the tickets and all... I really don't want them to go to waste. And if you're worried this will turn into a date or something, it won't. Aaliyah, Angelo and Percy are here," he said.

"Really? Angelo and Percy are with you? I miss them," I smiled and looked away from Marcus.

"Yeah," Trick said. "So come on, the movie starts in fifteen minutes."

I glanced at Marcus who shook his head at me,"No," he mouthed.

"I'll be there," I replied into the phone.

"Great! We'll be waiting," Trick said and hung up. I awkwardly smiled at Marcus.

"Marcus. Aaliyah, Angelo and Percy are there. It's been a while since I've seen them," I said.

Marcus sighed,"I don't care about them. Trick is the guy I am worried about. You're not safe around him, Alyssa, trust me." he held my hand.

"What about him is so dangerous that I shouldn't be around him?" I asked, getting annoyed. "He's my friend. You're my boyfriend," I said. "I would never leave you for him. Trust me."

Marcus smiled,"I know. But that's not what I'm worried about." he sighed and looked at the guys before looking back at me.

"Since you know about the house, the gang and those whole rivalry thing... I think you also should know about this," Marcus said, staring at me. He held both my hands tightly,"The reason why Trick and I hate eachother is because... he is working with the man who shot my father."

I furrowed my eyebrows. "James?"

Marcus nodded.

"You mean..." I trailed off, knowing what he meant.

"Yes, Trick is part of the rival gang."
