《The Nerd who cried Bad Boy》twenty five

After having an awesome time with Trick at the restaurant, we left. It was past six, so that meant we had spent hours in the restaurant. The sun was going down and it was getting cold.
We got in the car and Trick drove us to a place he wouldn't tell me about. He wouldn't say where he was taking me, which kind of scared me because we were even passing a row of trees.
I almost felt I was in the movie Wrong Turn. Suddenly the radio was switched off and I got a fright. "Trick, can you please tell me where we are going and please tell me you didn't take the wrong turn."
Trick chuckled,"Don't worry, love. The only thing that is going to eat you... is me," he said with a smirk.
I glared at Trick, though my body started heating up. The car drove for extra minutes until it slowed down. My heart raced,"Trick, I'm going to kill you if you say that we're out of gas."
"No, love, calm down. We arrived," he said and I eyed him.
"Arrived the heck where?" I exclaimed, panicking.
"Calm down, Alyssa." Trick chuckled and got out the car. He shut the car door and walked over to my side to open the door. I quickly locked it and watched as he tried open it.
I pouted and shook my head. I went over to the driver's side and tried to start the car but the engine would just roar,"What the heck? Trick, are we out of gas?" I shouted.
"Oops," Trick said.
"No, I'm not getting out. I'm going to call someone," I said as I took out my phone. The first person I wanted to call was Marcus, but I remembered that we weren't talking as well as Sam and Kendall. I tried Aaliyah but she wouldn't pick up.
"Alyssa calm down, this is where I was supposed to stop anyway," he assured.
"Trick, there are cannibals walking through these woods..." I said.
"Oh my God."
"They are waiting for us..." I trailed off, almost speaking to myself.
"Alyssa," Trick said.
"They're watching us..." I whispered.
"Alyssa, stop acting crazy," Trick said with a slight chuckle.
"And they probably love eating cute girls who love wearing hoodies and the same colour sneakers," I whispered to myself.
Trick sighed and opened the door. He pecked my lips and my eyes widened, finally snapping into reality.
"Stop watching horror movies," he whispered, his breath hitting my lips. I shut my eyes and hopped out the car and shut the car door. When Trick started walking into the woods, I held his hand tightly.
I swear if he was the cannibal all along, I'm going to show him my black belt skills I learnt over YouTube.
I do watch too much horror movies.
I started humming, trying to ease the nerves. Trick started walking faster into the woods and I caught up with him, wrapping my arm around his waist. He kissed the top of my head and wrapped his arm around my neck.

I heard something move hit the branches of the trees,"Shit!" I jumped in Trick's arms and he caught me, holding me bridal style. "What was that?" I asked Trick.
"Nothing," he answered. "Hopefully."
He walked with me in his arms. I kept on looking over his shoulder and both sides to make sure that no one was following us. After two whole minutes --I was counting-- Trick stopped. I got off his arms and held his hand.
"Isn't this lake beautiful?" he asked. I turned around and saw what he was talking about. Now since the sun was down, the lake shimmered because of the moon and stars. Small yellow, pink and blue lights were attached to trees which looked very pretty.
"Yeah," I answered. "But did you have to bring me here at the evening?"
"So you could see the lights, and the lake shimmer like this," Trick answered.
"Oh," was all I said and sat at the edge of the wooden structure. My legs dangled, my sneakers almost made contact with the water of the lake.
"You know," Trick whispered next to my ear, sending shivers down my spine. "A couple came to this lake twenty years ago."
I turned my head to Trick, our faces were a few centimetres away from eachother. His eyes glimmered because of the lights.
"They had an argument and the man drowned the lady in the lake. No one found the body, not even on the depths of the lake. The next day, the man came to check and was pulled inside the lake by the lady," Trick whispered. "And it is said, anyone who touches the lake, will get pulled in by the lady," he concluded and my eyes widened. I crawled away from the lake and Trick laughed.
"That's it," I said, standing up. I glared at Trick and punched his arm. He still laughed when I had punched his arm.
"Quiet, you'll wake up the cannibals," I said and my hand went over his mouth. He ran his tongue on my palm and I squirmed, jerking away.
"What the heck, Trick?" I chuckled, and wiped my licked hand on Trick's cheek. He frowned and walked to the edge of the wooden structure and sat there. I followed him and sat next to him, swinging my legs again.
"Hey, why are you and Marcus fighting?" I asked Trick.
He sighed,"We were friends before, best friends. We used to be partners. When each of us were assigned jobs, we would go with eachother. It was that kind of friendship you know, the one that you would even take a bullet for your friend because they were that important. Until... he became gangleader, he felt so powerful, strong and that motherfucker was so arrogant and selfish. He was the gangleader of one of the strongest, deadliest gang. He formed alliances with other gangs and became more powerful. What had changed him though was when his father was shot by Ja--" he paused.
"Trick?"
"No it's okay," he said.
"No it's not, say who it is," I said, my hand went on his back and rubbed it gently.

"James. James killed Marcus' father. He aimed to shoot Marcus' mother but Vincent had took the bullet for her," he said. "Ever since then, Marcus has done everything to ruin James' gang and it's working... James is losing money, girls, gangmembers and it's making him crazy." Trick looked at me,"Forget everything I just told you, don't tell anyone or we'll both pay."
I nodded, scared.
Trick took his phone out and dialed a number. He pressed call and waited a few seconds before saying,"Hey Percy, can you come to the Lockwood forest with gas. My car is out of gas... yeah... yeah thanks," he said and hung up, "He'll be here in twenty minutes."
I laid my head on Trick's shoulder.
"I wish you weren't likable, Alyssa," Trick whispered. "And now you've gotten yourself in this mess."
"Can't help being cute and likable." I pouted and Trick chuckled. We looked at eachother and smiled. Trick pecked the side of my lips and I shut my eyes, treasuring that small moment. He wrapped his arm around my neck and pulled me closer.
His other hand held my cheek and turned my face towards his and he planted his lips on mine. I was frozen for a few seconds and Trick quickly pulled away,"I'm sorry, I know you've got a boyfri--"
I slienced him with my lips and Trick's response was immediate. I pulled back to stare at his eyes sparkle,"I like you, Alyssa," he whispered.
I felt like my heart stop. A silent gasp escaped my mouth as I stared at Trick's eyes. He kissed me again, his kiss soft and gentle than last time. I cupped his cheek, my hand slowly making its way to the back of his neck.
I let out a sigh when we parted, Trick hugged me again and I buried my face in his chest,"I like you too," I admitted.
I really did.
I liked Trick. He was sweet and was there for me when I needed a friend, "Seriously?" his eyes widened in shock.
I nodded, smiling at him. Trick intertwined his hand and with mine and kissed the top of my head gently,"What about Marcus?" he asked.
I hesitantly shook my head,"He likes Bree, those two were meant for eachother anyway," I said, my heart ached when I had said that. I had no idea why. "I'm not even sure if he likes me or if he was just using me," I whispered.
Trick looked at me,"Do you like him?"
I reluctantly replied,"No, no." I swear if I was Pinocchio right now, my nose would be as long as the Eiffel Tower.
"What will happen to your relationship with him then?" Trick asked.
What relationship?
Oh, the one where I got repeatedly hurt by Marcus when he 'cheated' on me. Why did I get jealous anyway? I wasn't in love with the guy right?
I'm not hungry right?
"I guess... since we don't like eachother, there's really no need to be together. And I hate Bree prying around me and Marcus, she can take him back. I don't care," I said.
I do care. A lot.
I clenched my fist in the thought of Bree and Marcus together again. Months ago, when they were dating, I wasn't bothered then because I didn't like them both and I both thought they were jerks. Now I like one of them.
Obviously not Bree.
"So... are you gonna end it with Marcus?" he asked and looked at me.
I buried my face in his chest and I shut my eyes, feeling the warm tears I've been holding fall down my cheeks, I hugged Trick. Trick's phone vibrated and he took it from beside him. He placed it against his ear, "Percy... Okay... Yeah, thanks... Bye," he hung up and stood up.
He bent down again to tie his laces together,"Hey Alyssa, I dare you to touch the lake."
"No, you do it," I said.
"Uhm, I don't want to die so that's a pass." Trick smirked and I stood up. I playfully glared at Trick and he shrugged, smiling.
"I hate you." I chuckled, lightly punching his arm.
"No you don't." Trick smiled and wrapped his arm around my neck as we walked into the woods. "You like me, you said it yourself," Trick said smugly.
"I don't remember," I lied, smiling at Trick.
"You were like: I like you too, handsome, strong Trick and I want to become your girlfriend," he said in a kind of high-pitched voice.
I laughed and shook my head,"Is that how you sounded like before puberty hit you?"
Trick looked away and I laughed harder. "I didn't say anything," Trick defended.
"You didn't have to, love," I emphasised the last word, looking at Trick's reaction. He smiled, slightly blushing.
"Aww, you're adorable," I cooed, pinching his cheek.
"Ow," he chuckled and removed my hand away. We made it out of the woods and Trick's car was there. Percy was gone.
"He probably added the gas," Trick said and opened the door for me in the passenger seat. He shut the door before walking around the car and getting into the driver's side. He started the car and drove onto the road back home.
"What time is it?" I asked him.
"Eight past," he replied.
I nodded and stared out the window. I checked my phone and saw I had no messages from anyway.
Not even Marcus.
Which made me sad and upset. We just got into an argument, it's not like I expected him to apologise to me by sending 'I'm sorry, baby cheeks' texts to me at 2am in the morning. I wasn't going to forgive him anyway, him picking Bree over me really pushed me over the edge.
Marcus was right, I'm popular now, I have friends... although some people still didn't like me. I didn't care because I had people I cared about who were my friends. Staying in this relationship would bring nothing expect pain especially when the both partners liked other people.
I didn't need to be Marcus' fake girlfriend anymore...
So I guessed I should end the 'relationship' we had.
