《The Nerd who cried Bad Boy》nineteen

Nervousness had completely taken over me during the car ride to Alyssa's house. Why was I nevrous? Oh, I was going to convince her mom that I'm not a bad guy and Alyssa and I shouldn't break up.
Alyssa and I weren't even really dating, Alyssa was already popular, she had friends and everyone had stopped bullying her. There was absolutely no reason for us to continue fake dating. But there was one reason.
I looked at Alyssa who was staring straight ahead at the road. She was thinking about something. Whatever she was thinking about, it made her cut her surroundings. Fuck, even looking at her made my heart race. Her eyes, her smile, her laugh made me feel something I have never felt before towards the other girls.
The first day I had met her, I was already attached. I had felt this unusual connection when we first met. She made me think about her all the time, during class, before I sleep, in my dreams and when I wake up. She was clearly doing something to me and I was letting her. The traffic light went from yellow to green but I still stared at it for a few seconds before driving.
See?
In those seconds I was thinking about holding her tightly in my arms, watching her smile and laugh. And those lips. Oh, those fucking lips that teased me everytime I looked at them. The urge for those lips to meet mine.
Alyssa sighed from beside me and yawned which sounded like a sexy moan.
"Fuck," I mumbled and squeezed the steering wheel in frustration. My thoughts of Alyssa in bed with me took over. Her hands roaming my body freely like she owned it. Her moaning my name.
Fuck.
Alyssa said something while I was distracted by the thoughts of her. "Mhmm," I answered, having no idea what she said.
"Marcus, are you even listening?" Alyssa said, finally snapping out of my thoughts. I looked at her. I could look at her all day, she was so beautiful.
"I'm busy talking to you while you are thinking about whatever you are thinking about since you couldn't even pay attention to what I was saying," she ranted and crossed her arms over her chest.
"I'm sorry, Baby cheeks. What were you saying?" I asked, now paying attention to her.
"I said, I couldn't sleep last night and I couldn't even focus in class. Can you believe that?" Alyssa said with a chuckle.
"Oh, why?" I said.
"'Cause of you, Marcus," she replied and my heart stopped. Am I the last thing she thinks about before she goes to sleep? Soon I'll be the last thing she sees before she goes to sleep.
Fuck, there you go again Marcus.
I smirked,"What? Did I keep you up all night?"
Alyssa shook her head,"Not like that. I meant when you texted me but I was just kidding."
"Why were you wearing inappropriately anyway, Baby cheeks? If I know you, you aren't a person who wears inappropriately especially with your oversized clothing." I said, eyeing her outfit. All she wore was a pink, oversized sweater that ended by her thighs and the same colour pink sneakers. Even with her simple outfit she looked breathtaking and so lip-smacking good.
"Bree and Veronica invited me to their house and gave me the clothes. I wore them and I knew that it was wrong, especially when those clothes were so close to looking like a bikini." Alyssa sighed and covered her face with her hand and looked up back at the road again. "I wore that while Bree and Veronica wore jeans and tee's. We went out and had a good time but when we came back, I thought we were at Bree's house but we were at mine. Mom saw me, scolded at me because of my outfit. Bree and Veronica lied to my mom about me wanting to go to a party at midnight and mom believed them. She said I looked like a slut then told me to break up with you because you were a dangerous person. I wasn't brave enough to do it face to face and I didn't want to break up with you yet so I just sent a text. I was also scared to see the look on your face if I told you the news."

"I'm sorry, Baby cheeks," I said and placed my hand on her thigh. I noticed her cheeks turning red and I smiled and looked at the road. We arrived at Alyssa's house and I parked on the driveway. I got out the car and walked around it, then opening the car door for Alyssa. She hopped out, holding my hand then quickly intertwining them. I was nevrous again.
Not only because I was about to meet her mom but everyone knows that I had done very bad things that even let me end up in jail so explaining why her good, innocent daughter should date a notorious, player should be very interesting.
Alyssa and I walked hand in hand until we got to the front door since Alyssa had let go of my hand and I gave her a questioning look. "Ready?" she asked me with a small smile that was forced. I nodded and kissed her cheek. Alyssa opened the door and walked in. The air was mouth-watering since it smelled like someone was baking chocolate.
Alyssa smiled and shook her head,"She's baking again. She sings when she bakes so... thought I would warn you."
I chuckled and Alyssa shut the door behind me. She held my hand again and lead me somewhere which was the kitchen. There revealed her mom bobbing her head to the beat of the song she was playing on her phone which was in her apron pocket. She sang along with the song while mixing a bowl of dough. Alyssa's sister, Alyson, was eating a slab of chocolate opening and breaking it into pieces then reaching up the counter to pour it in the mixing bowl but she couldn't reach. She jumped up repeatedly but she couldn't reach. Her mom wasn't paying attention since she was texting someone, facing away from Alyson.
Alyson frowned and tapped her mom's stomach and she turned around, accidentally knocking over the mixing bowl. With my quick reflexes and my love for cookies, I quickly stepped forward and caught the bowl with my hand. Alyson and her mom gasped. Alyson smiled and grabbed the bowl out of my hand, "Hey Marcus." she smiled at me and hugged me.
"Hey Alyson," I greeted her by hugging her back.
"Thanks for saving our cookie dough, I love cookies," Alyson said, grinning while mixing the cookie dough.
"Me too," I replied and moved my gaze from Alyson to Alyssa's mother. Her eyes were wide open in fear and she dropped her phone to the ground, backing away.
"Ma'am--"
"What are you doing here, Sawyer?" she asked me, still terrified. She backed away until she hit the counter. Her hand searched the counter and she randomly grabbed a wooden spoon.
"Mrs. Heart, please don't--"
"Why are you here? Get out of my house, Sawyer." she walked up to me and she was about to hit me with the spoon but Alyssa grabbed the spoon out her mom's hand and stood in front of me.
"Mom!" Alyssa said, putting the spoon on the table.
"No, no. I can't have a criminal in my house," she whispered. All the bad things I done, this was the first time I ever regret doing them. Because of Alyssa and her family.
"Mom, don't say that. He's not a criminal. He's a nice guy." Alyssa tried to assure her mom but she wouldn't listen. She was still staring at me like I was pointing a gun at her. Alyson was hugging my leg, scared.
"Look, even Alyson is comfortable with Marcus. He's not who you think he is. Please, let's talk."

"No, Alyssa. What is Sawyer doing in my house?" she said.
I walked away from Alyssa and walked to her mom after Alyson let go of me. Their mom backed away then stopped when she realised there was no where to go,"Get away from--"
"Mrs. Heart, please listen to me. I'm not here to harm anyone in anyway, I'm just here to speak to you. I have no gun with me at the moment," I said, slightly smirking at her. She furrowed her eyebrows and slapped me.
I froze,"Yeah I deserved that." I nodded, rubbing my cheek.
"Mom, Marcus is here to introduce himself to you," Alyssa said and I nodded at her mom. She still stared at me, still frightened. Words struggled to escape her mouth. She slowly shook her head.
I pushed the guy who tried to beat me in the alley and he stumbled back and fell on the floor. "You fuck!" he shouted at me and I shut my mouth from replying to his comment. He was from the rival gang and he tried to send me a 'message' of their arrival. I was fucked. I took off my leather jacket and threw it on the floor. He grinned and clenched his fists. He swung his foot by my face but I ducked, swinging my foot to trip him. He fell to the floor and I was about to stomp on his stomach but he rolled over and stood up. I grabbed his shirt and threw him against the wall where there was a loud knock since his head hit the wall. He groaned and fell to the floor. I kicked his stomach and ribs several times.
I straddled him and started throwing punches at his face,"Tell your leader that I'm fucking ready for him." I said after punching him several times. My hand ached after blood started coming out his nose, mouth and cheek. He started begging for me to stop but I didn't. I wanted their leader to know that I wasn't scared and I was ready for whatever he's planning.
"Hey! Stop!" a woman shouted at me. "Stop!" she repeated and paused when she saw me. The guy underneath me didn't move, he was unconscious. I stood up and took a step back.
"Asshole," I said to him and watched as the woman took out her phone dialed a number. She walked over to the guy and crouched down beside him. She felt his pulse on his neck and sighed in relief. The way she was acting, I could tell she was a doctor.
"Yes hello, this is Sydney Heart. Yeah I'm in an alley next to The Purple Club. Yeah, can you please come with the ambulance? This man is badly injured. Okay hurry up please." she kept quiet and listened. "No, I just found him like this. He's drunk and got beat up here. Yeah. Bye." she hung up and stared at the badly injured guy.
She then looked at me, and that's when I saw the fear and anger in her eyes. I didn't say anything, I didn't apologise because I was not going to say sorry for beating a guy who was about to kill me.
Fuck no.
I looked at her then at the guy laying on the floor unconscious. Bruised and bloody face, a cut on his cheek.
"You're all the same. You and your parents are all dangerous criminals that should be put behind bars!" she spat.
"You should really get out of my house before I call the cops," she said, her eyes not shifting away from mine. "I want you out of the house now or I will call the fucking cops."
"Sydney!" Alyssa called her mom and she shot her a look.
"Alyssa, I told not to be near him and yet you brought him to our house," mom said, taking out her phone. She opened her phone with a pattern but Alyson grabbed the phone out of her mom's hand. Mrs. Heart just stared at her.
"Give me the phone, young la--"
"No," Alyson said simply and backed away.
"Alyson Marigold Heart, you are--"
"Mom stop, please let him talk at least. I mean, he's not come here to hurt us obviously. Marcus is a good guy. I know that he has done bad things but--" Alyssa said and paused and sighed. "He's really a sweet and funny guy."
"And handsome," Alyson whispered from the background. Alyssa frowned and her mom raised her eyebrow.
I smirked and shrugged. "I've been blessed with looks," I said smugly, running my fingers through my hair.
"And cocky," Alyson added and Alyssa snickered. "But he is very sweet if you get to know him. Please just speak to him, and if he still manages to annoy you with his cockiness you can call the cops. And we know Marcus so you might call the cops in a few seconds in to the conversation."
Mrs. Heart looked at her daughters then me. I gave her a small smile and she sighed a breath that she had been holding.
"Fine, go take a seat in the living room. I'll be with you in a moment," Mrs Heart said and Alyssa and I grinned.
"Thank you, Mrs. Heart," I said smiling at her and she nodded not looking at me.
"Don't worry, she'll like you." Alyssa assured and lead me to the living room.
"Of course, everyone loves me," I said and Alyssa chuckled. "Including you Alyssa."
"No I don't," she furrowed her eyebrows. "Maybe, as a friend."
"Boy is missing in that word 'friend'," I said meaning she had to say boyfriend. My eyes widened as I realised something,"Did you say 'maybe'?"
"Maybe for what?" Alyssa asked, confused.
"I said you are one of the people that love me, and you said 'maybe." I smiled.
Alyssa rolled her eyes, but I could see her cheeks get red because of shyness.
"No, if you listened properly, I said as a friend," she said, not looking at me.
"Oh, as a friend." I said with a slight grin to cover my disappointment.
