"Are you gonna let me out?," I said as I leaned against the door. Ever since he 'kidnapped' me, I've been locked in my bedroom like Rapunzel. "It's not funny!"

I hit the door with my hand.

No reply.

"It's been two days. I'm hungry and I want some chocolate! Open the fucking door!" I got up from my spot on the floor and paced back and forth. I don't do well with being locked up.

Flashback

"Please! Just let me go!," I yelled as my kidnapped tugged on my hair roughly. "I didn't do anything." Tears streamed down my cheeks as my kidnapper struck me across the face.

"Shut up!," he yelled, his spit flying and landing on my bruised face. "You're giving me a fucking headache." He pushed me into a room before slamming and locking the door.

The small room was dirty and had the faint metallic stench of blood. I scrunched my nose up in disgust when I saw the small bucket in the corner. I have a feeling that I'm going to have to pee in that. A small lumpy mattress that was probably covered in bugs was against the wall. I can't stay here.

The light bulb above me flickered. I silently hoped that it wouldn't explode or stop working.

I thought too soon.

The bulb went out.

The darkness greeted me as I felt around on the floor for the mattress. I really wish there was a window here.

End of Flashback

Suddenly, I blinked myself back to the present. I touched my cheek realising I was crying. I quickly felt my pockets and bed for my phone before remembering that he took it. I need to call my mom. I need her. I raced towards the door barely containing my tears as I banged against it. "Open up, please! Please! I need to call my mom! I need her. I need my phone!" No reply. I don't know why I was surprised by that. I should've known that he doesn't care about me.

I staggered over towards the bed, feeling light headed. I sat on it and clutched the comforter so tight that my knuckles turned white.

"Deep breath in, deep breath out," my wolf suddenly spoke up, feeling the need to help me. "You can do it. Calm down. Have happy thoughts. You're not in the past, you're in the present. That won't happen to you again. You're safe now."

Am I really safe? I was kept locked up there and the same is happening here. "No, it's not. It's different this time," my wolf spoke up making me let out a sigh of relief with tear stained cheeks. I thought she was angry at me or that she was still suffering the effects from whatever it was Grayson put on my face.

"How do you know?," I said to her softly.

"You're in a clean room for starters. We're not being beaten and we're getting fed. This is a completely different situation."

My eyes lingered at the plate that was left here by the cook. I have been given edible food but I haven't been eating it for some strange reason. The smoke that was once coming off of the plate was no longer there as the steaming hot food had cooled down.

"Good, you're calm now," my wolf said again as she noticed that my heart rate had slowed.

I looked at the windows before realising that I could open them. It's almost as if I had quickly returned back to the mental state I was in when I had been captured the first time. I almost ran towards it. I tried opening it but it was no use as the window wouldn't open very much. I would definitely not be able to squeeze through it. I could break the window but that seems too drastic. He can't leave me in here for weeks, right?

I was wrong. It's been two weeks. I laid by the door unable to move. I was too weak. And that's not because I haven't been fed when I have. I've been given warm meals everyday but I just can't seem to eat it. I can't bring the fucking food to my lips.

I think I was too weak because Grayson and I were too far from each other and it's worse for me since I'm still unmarked which means the mate bond at this stage is doing everything it possibly can to bring us closer together and to mate.

My whole body was aching and I'm pain as I laid sprawled out across the floor. At this point, my wolf had disappeared. I couldn't feel her and when I call out to her, I'm left with silence. I lightly banged on the door from my position on the floor, unable to speak due to my dry throat. I let out a shaky sigh as I thought about how those stupid windows wouldn't break. No matter what I threw at them, they were left standing.

Suddenly, the door burst open, almost hitting me. I didn't bother to look up. I've had a nightmare like this many times and it doesn't end well for me. I'm probably still dreaming. "Shit. Shit. Shit," I heard a familiar voice say repeatedly in a panic. I cracked an eye open to see Grayson. I'm surprised he's here. I thought he'd wait until I'm dead.

He easily scooped me in his arms, causing the tingles to shook up and down wherever he touched, before racing towards the pack hospital. "Stay awake," he said to me, xrepeatedly, slightly panicked as he ran with me in his arms. We got there in under a minute and were immediately escorted to a room by one of the nurses. He put me down on the bed just as the doctor walked through the door. "This doesn't look good," the doctor muttered to himself before checking me. I was poked, prodded and stabbed with a needle for a while.

"I have the blood results back," he announced. "You're dehydrated and your blood sugar levels are dangerously low. You're going to have to stay in for a while so we can keep an eye on that." He left the room after that. I spotted a cup and a jug of water on the table next to me so without an issue I managed to get some water in the cup with no spillages.

"Get out," I said quietly once my throat was wet and not dry. I was in no mood to see or speak to him. He looked at me, shocked that I spoke to him.

"I didn't think you were going to talk to me," he said, completely ignoring my demand.

"I want you out," I said confidently. I didn't dare to look at his face. I didn't want to. "Get out!" He stood for a moment watching me before deciding to leave. The rest of the day and week I laid on the hospital bed facing the wall. I rarely ever moved. There was no need for me to move except for when I needed to pee or shower and eat.

"I have some great news," the doctor exclaimed as he walked in my room. "You're free to leave. Everything seems fine and normal." He left the room without another word. Just great. Please note the sarcasm. This means I have to go back to that house.

Within minutes, Olivia burst through the door with a bag in her hand. "Let me guess," I said. "Grayson sent you?"

"So what if he did," she shrugged. "I wanted to come anyway." She handed me the bag. "Go change." I rolled my eyes and walked towards the bathroom I had in here. I quickly changed into a jumper and a pair of jeans before walking back towards her.

"Now what?"

"Now, you're coming home with me," she exclaimed. What? I looked at her in confusion.

"What do yo-."

"I mean, you're staying with me. The Alpha actually came up with the idea and, of course, I agreed. I thought he would've backed out of it but he hasn't." I tugged on the boots she gave me to wear before we started our walk towards the Pack house.

"You know, I'm really glad I met you," I told her. "I have no idea what I would've done if I didn't have you here." She gave me a small smile.

"Guess what!," she suddenly exclaimed. I raised an eyebrow, silently urging her to continue. "Your family's visiting tomorrow."

"They are?," I breathed out in disbelief. She nodded her head and smiled brightly at me. I can't believe it. I've dreamed of seeing them again but now it's actually happening. You might think I'm over reacting a little bit but I'm really not. Things happened in my past that shaped me the way I am today.

Ten minutes later, we were in the pack house making our way to her apartment. In this pack house, people don't just have a bedroom. They have a whole apartment. They have three bedrooms and a kitchen as well as a den. Shocked? I was too. "Choose a bedroom," she ordered me before walking off. I chose the one furthest away from their bedroom. I didn't want to hear things at night. I also didn't want to be in their way.

"The Alpha already brought some of your clothes over," Olivia said as she popped her head in through the door. I stared at the suitcase she rolled over. Who gave him the right to touch my things? I hate him.

"Thanks," I said to her. "Do you think we could go shopping?"

She bit her lip as she thought about it. "I'm not sure. We'd have to ask the Alpha..."

"You really have to ask him when you go shopping?"

"Not normally. Just because-."

"Because you'd be taking me," I finished.

"Yeah. If anything happens to you, it'll be our fault. We'd be killed for jeopardising the safety of our Luna."

"I get it," I shrugged. "I just have to get used to...being important, I guess."

"The Beta's arriving today, too," Liv informed me. Last night, I came up with the nickname Oli for Olivia but she hated that one so I settled for Liv.

"Isn't he already here?," I asked.

"No, he went away overseas a couple of weeks ago. Remember when the Alpha came to your pack? He had a Beta then but that was a pack warrior. He was standing in for the actual Beta." I nodded my head in understanding.

"Oh my gosh, their car is pulling up in front," I squealed out as I looked out of the window. Without another word, I raced outside. I passed Grayson, without a word, who was stood by the front door, waiting to greet them. "Mom!," I almost cried out as I tackled her. Her arms instantly wrapped around me as I took in her familiar scent. A scent I almost forgot.

"I missed you," she sighed out.

"I missed you, too," my dad said. "But you know, your mom's way more important than me." He wiped a fake tear from under his eye. I playfully rolled my eyes at what he said.

"You're both important to me," I said as I left my moms side to hug him.

"Aren't I important to you?," my twin asked. "Of course I am. You can't live without me, can you?" He ruffled my hair before pulling me into a hug. "You don't understand how lonely it's been. I have no one to annoy."

"Really? What do you call what you've been doing to me?," a voice exclaimed as they exited the car.

"Isla!," I exclaimed before I jumped on her.

"Missed me?"

"Yeah," I cried. "I missed you all so so much." I pulled them all into a group hug. Suddenly, someone cleared their throat causing us to break away. I didn't need to see who it was. I could sense him already.

"Beta Reid," Grayson said, his face clear of any emotion as usual.

"Alpha Grayson," my dad said gruffly. It was pretty clear that there was some tension between the two.

"Let's go in," I said, clapping my hands. My mom, Liam and Isla started to follow me as I walked towards the door. "Dad?"

"He won't be long. We have some business to discuss, Alana," Grayson said, dismissing me. I let out a scoff.

"I'm pretty sure my dad came here to visit me and not for work," I said, crossing my arms.

"Alana," he hissed out, his voice dangerously low. "Not here." I rolled my eyes.

"Fu-."

"Alana, please. It'll only take a minute," my dad said cutting me off. I glared at Grayson for a moment. I hated how he shut me down. Begrudgingly, I nodded my head. I really didn't want to leave them alone. I want to hear what they're saying but I can't.

-

"This is where you'll be staying," I said as I showed them their apartment.

"All of us?," Liam asked, slowly. I nodded my head before opening the door.

"This is an apartment. There's three bedrooms, one bathroom, a kitchen and a den," I told them. I watched with an amused look on my face as I watched them look around in awe. They dropped their bags in their rooms before we decided to wait for my dad in the den.

"What's wrong?," I asked Isla as I noticed how strange she was looking around.

"Can you smell that?," she asked.

"Smell what?"

"Never mind," she sighed, waving it off. The front door opened. It wasn't my dad. I couldn't smell his scent. This scent was unfamiliar. Liv said that the Beta was arriving today so it must be him. A man with brown hair, green eyes and a shaven jaw walked into the den with a bag in his hand. Grayson stood by his side.

"Beta Zane," he introduced himself. "Sorry if I interrupted anything."

"You didn't. It's fine," I said as I watched Isla. "I'm Alana." His eyes widened in realisation.

"It's nice to meet you, Luna," he said.

"Likewise but please, just call me Alana," I said with a small smile. He nodded his head. I knew he wouldn't call me by my name but it wouldn't hurt to try. I hated having the title. I wasn't even worthy of it.

"You are?," he asked, turning to Isla with a smile.

"Isla," she breathed out as she looked at his eyes.

"Mate," they both said simultaneously. A smile instantly broke out on my face. This means she'll be staying here with me. I accidentally glanced towards Grayson to see him smiling for his friend. He caught me looking at him. I swiftly turned my gaze towards the new couple in front of me.

"Great, she's gone too," Liam groaned. "I'm gonna be alone."

"Don't worry, you'll find your mate soon," I said encouragingly. He gave me a blank look. "And when you do find her and you don't treat her right, I'll personally kill you because being an asshole is not it." Liam smirked at the dig I made referring to Grayson not treating me right.

"Congratulations," my parents said, happily. Isla was like another daughter to them.

"I can't wait until your mother knows," my mom said. "She'll be happy for you."

"Yeah, she will," Isla said as if she was trying to believe what she said herself. Zane wrapped an arm around her before offering to take her somewhere so they could talk. She agreed and they left.

I'm happy for her. She's always dreamed of finding her Prince Charming and now she finally has.
