I woke up with a pain in my shoulder. I jolted up and grabbed my shoulder.
"Woah! Easy, Easy!" Scott said as I winced.
"How long havr I beren out and what happened?" I asked.
"You have been out for about a day, we went to a hotel and slept last night and now we're in Utah" Grover said.
"And...what do you remember?" Percy asked.
It was me, Scott, And Percy were in the back.
"We were in a trance, I made-out with lydia about 3 times...Wait! I was shot!" I said.
"Wait, you made out with Lydia?" Scott asked but I ignored him.
"Did I die?! Am I dead?!" I yelled flailing my hands but then wincing because my shoulder hurt. Scott tried to take away my pain but I pushed him away with my good arm.
"Your okay, Annabeth got the bullet that was still in your shoulder, then we gave you a pain killer and you fell asleep." Percy said.
"Speaking of pain-killer let's give you the normal ones." Annabeth said.
"Normal ones?" I asked.
"The ones I gave you on the night you got shot, I gave you stronger ones, these will not make you loopy or tired" she said as she gave me a pill.
I looked around. "Do I have too?" I said.
"Do you want to be in pain?" Lydia asked sarcastically and I took the pill.
"Good boy" Scott said.
"Bad doggy" I said and Scott laughed and growled at me.
"Hey, is Derek ever gonna come help us?" I asked.
"I actually don't know? He prolly is dealing with God knows what in beacon hills." He said and I laughed.
"Where are we going?" I asked.
"It's our last stop, and it's called resurrection valley? But, if that's the last stop, 2 pearls a stop, that's not enough. Maybe we get 3? We will be there in about 5 minutes" Grover said.

The 5 minutes went by quickly, we grabbed our weapons and walked out. All we saw was a rock.
"Okay, no matter what happens, keep an eye on Stiles, don't want his shoulder stitches to break open." Annabeth said and everyone nodded as we approached the rock.
It was greek.
"We don't know Greek." Grover, Lydia, And Scott said looking at Me, Annabeth, and Percy. Percy and Annabeth looked at me. I sighed and walked up there.
It translated into "The most pained is the one to fight" I said.
"The most pained is the one to fight? Who has felt the most pain, emotionally and physically?" Percy asked i felt everyone's eyes flicker to me, but I ignored it.
Scott tried to walk through, but it didn't work he couldn't go past.
"Mountain ash?" He asked and Percy went to walk through but the same happened.
"The most pained is the only one that can go through?" Percy said.
All of us stood in a line and walked forward. Everyone was stopped besides me. Crap. I went to go back through the barrier, but I couldn't. I was stuck, no weapon, no friends to help, and a hurt shoulder. Great.
"I-I can't get through!?" I said.
"Shit! Okay. Okay! We got this...just-ummm...don't Do anything, just stand there" Scott said.
"Look, I'm fine. It's okay..." I said but I was really kinda scared.
"Maybe, I don't need a weapon...nothing is coming..." I said.
That's when I heard crying. Shit.
I turned around to see something appearing. Once the figure was clear I was who it was and me and Scott gasped at the sight.
It was my mom...
"Mom?!" I asked as I walked forward.
"No! You get away from me! Your trying to kill me!" She yelled and I stepped back with tears in my eyes.
"Not again" I whispered.
"You did this! I'm dead because of you! Because your were to stupid to save me! It's all your fault Stiles!" She screamed at me.

I shook my head back and forth trying to get rid of the tears that were coming.
"That's exactly it. You died, almost l-like 10 years ago, this isn't real." I said.
"Can't tell what's real and pnot real? Sounds like what I had. Doesn't it Stiles! But I'm not really sure that was it! Do your remember the night on the roof?" She said and I looked back at everyone's confused faces. I had a tear stream down my face.
I nodded my head.
"Do you remember what I said? The look of a murderer...you still have that same look in your eye." She said looking at my face.
"You killed dozens of people! Donavan. Allison. Aiden. ME. YOU LET ME DIE!" She yelled and I felt tears stream my face.
"Stiles! It's the dementia talking! Don't listen to her!" Scott yelled.
"Was it? Or did my own son do it?" My mom yelled in Scotts direction.
I looked at my mom with sad eyes. She looked at me and I saw a flash of blue in her brown eyes.
"That's not your mom" Percy yelled and threw my sword across the barrier. I ran to go get it, I grabbed it as my mom lunged at me with a sword of her own.
I fought her off. Barly, but I did.
"You have to kill her!" Annabeth yelled.
"Don't kill me! Please! Don't kill your own mom!" My mom said as she slightly lowered her sword.
"Don't do it! Please!" She cried.
"Stiles, I know it's hard, but you have to do it, once you put your sword down she will stab you!" I heard Lydia yell.
"M-mom I'm sorry" I said.
"Stiles, you will live with this for the rest of your life if you do this! Stiles! It's me!" She said and I stabbed her. I grabbed her neckless which had a pearl on it. I dropped my sword and stepped back. Tears went down my face. My mom turned into a black demon and died .
"I-I-I...killed my mom!" I yelled.
"That was a demon! No, Stiles you didn't but you have another thing coming...who else died that meant something to you?" Scott said.
"No one really?" I said as I wiped my tears away and turned back to see a bandaged man in front of me.
"He isn't real! He can't do anything in your head. What ever happens it's not real!" Grover and everyone began to yell. I was still panicing.
"Hello Stiles" the nogistune said.
I took a step back as the nogistune stepped forward.
"This demon is stronger. He will be harder to kill!" Annabeth yelled.
The nogistune grabbed my neck and pushed me against the barrier. I couldn't breath. I struggled but was able to get him to let go. I kicked him and ran to grab my sword.
The nogistune laughed and raised his hand. I flinched as pain seized through my head. I closed my eyes and grabbed my head.
"Stiles! Watch out!" Someone yelled. Even though my head was exploring with pain I looked up to see the nogistune right above me with a sword. I quickly moved making my shoulder ring with pain. I winced.
"The one you love who died. The one your most afraid of. And the one you feel mostly guilty for." He said.
"I'm not afraid of you!?" I said.
"Yes you are! Your afraid of the pain and nightmares. But those will all end when I kill you, once and for all" he said as he bring the sword down. I tumbled and stabbed him in the side, then in the heart.
Dead.

The Eternal Vigil
The year is 2220, a time when governments and nation-states are slowly becoming a thing of the past. Instead, all prominent parts of human society are now organizing around the commands of three great Artificial Intelligences, owned and operated by the world's largest corporation. World peace has been achieved, and the very word 'politics' has disappeared from people's lips. Religion has largely disappeared, replaced in some parts by worshipping of the great AIs, but mostly substituted by a devotion to material goods and faith in the market. There is now a general consensus that the best form of government has been found. No, it is not democracy, nor is it autocracy or oligarchy. Instead, it is technocracy - rule by the learned, the intelligent, and the skilled. And who are more learned, intelligent, and skilled than the great AIs? Exactly, no one. The AIs will correct some market failures once in a while, but shall otherwise let the market be free. After all, the freer the market, the freer the people. Some may question how society advanced to this stage, but that is all they will do - question. Because they will not find answers, for history is no longer taught anywhere. After all, it is not a practical subject. One cannot get a decently paying job with a history degree. Society doesn't have any time for people to idly ponder about the past. No, this is a practical society of practical people: engineers, doctors, lawyers, developers, managers, bankers, soldiers, and the such. My name is Aiden Scivit and I used to be one such practical man: minding my own business, doing my job, with the faith that hard work will always be rewarded by the market...and that politics and philosophy were things thought of by idly people who leech off society. But this all changed, and here is my story, my history. Just because the stories of ages long past have been erased, does not mean that a brand new beginning cannot be created. The story is already finished but I still need to do some editing so a chapter should be released each day for a month. It is a bit political, as you can probably tell by the introduction, so there is that (it will low-key read like a philosophy dump 10% of the time, so really it's like Atlas Shrugged but liberal and worse lol). Also, I actually wrote this in grade 10 as part of my MYP Personal Project, and recently touched up on it for online publication. Finally, if you find the writing style passable and are interested in my other works, check out the one in the link below. It is a fantasy set in the Ancient Greek world, and is completed and uploaded in full: https://www.royalroad.com/fiction/35099/the-oresteia-modernized

Impossible Devices
Twenty years after the start of the new millenium, the world was largely at peace. Crime was at an all-time low in most nations. No large scale conflicts between countries currently existed, and the people of Earth had even begun to see hope for the future. In the year 2020, all of that changed. The first occurrences of the interdimensional reality altering zones occurred. Named 'Dungeons' these supernatural and alien existences unleashed monsters and mayhem upon the world. Only after considerable loss of life and adaptation to the new world order did people begin to rally back. The discovery of a strange artificact item in one of the dungeons allowed humanity to develop powers far beyond their wildest imagination. This device worked on principles considered to be impossible. It was not the only one. Items of super-science and magic were discovered inside the dungeons of the world that could not possibly work according to the known laws of physics. Yet, they did. A special school was built to train young people so that they could specialize in dungeon exploration, in the defeat of monsters and the acquisition of the Impossible Devices. Warning: Tagged as [18+] for mature content that includes Adult Situations, Sexual Situations, Graphic Violence, and offensive language. Further: This story is a work of comedy and parody. It is not designed to be a gloriously realistic story, even though there are a few deep themes and other mature concepts involved.
