《daphne pink》Hello Stranger!

It all started with his assistant-slash-best friend's annoying persistence.

"It's called Omegle." Naruto informs him one day as he follows him to his private lounge.

"I heard you the first time. I just don't care." He deadpans, walking straight towards the leather couch.

Uchiha Sasuke or more famously known as 'Ryosuke' in public shut his eyes close, arm resting over his forehead, and pretends he doesn't hear the loud exasperated groan that fills the room. He wonders if he should be thankful that Naruto hasn't resigned yet, or be annoyed at the fact that he treats him like a regular person, and not his boss.

Living the life of a celebrity, is a path he hadn't intended to take. It strays away from the wishes of his father, away from his family's expectations who owns a part of the city's business empire. However, music has always been his passion since he was a child. Despite his father's immense pressure to take up his mantle, he only needed to hear his older brother's encouragement to pursue his dream.

His mother, ever the supportive one has quickly introduced him to people that has helped him jumpstart his music career. Up until now, they are still part of his crew. She also made sure that his management strictly separates his personal life from his celebrity persona. Hence his Uchiha lineage is a well-kept secret from public knowledge.

It was something he is often grateful for.

His succession steadily grows. His music topping the music charts, the never-ending invitations for various gigs, guestings and advertisements has led him to climb up on the public's attention quite easily and in just a year has made a name for himself, and a tour underway.

However, one problem still lies.

Crowds still mentally exhaust him and often force him to keep up a facade.

That's why his tours, despite a hundred percent sold out rate based on statistics, rarely offer meets and greets because of his stoic nature.

"Come on, teme! Just give it a try." The blond tries again, his cerulean eyes literally begging him.

"It's a waste of time." He responds without moving.

"It's a way to practice your fucking social skills."

Sasuke glares at him.

Naruto frantically waves his arms. "You chat with someone anonymously. There's nothing to lose."

But Sasuke slouches further into the sofa, praying to the gods he drops the subject because he had no intention of trying it. Ever.

"That way you know how to interact with people normally instead of grunting at them most of fucking time. I get tired doing PR shits for you when you can be doing it on your own." He continues his lectures, now standing in front of his friend. While Sasuke sometimes heeded their requests, Naruto was often left taking care of the audience who wished to see more glimpses of their beloved Ryosuke.

"Then resign." The raven-haired singer mutters.

"I need this job asshole." He hisses.

"Then don't."

Naruto pulls his hair in frustration. This guy is just impossible. And he can't believe he still has the patience to put up with his stubbornness.

"Good god teme, we can't always postpone your meet and greets just because you're feeling antisocial."

"Hn." He grunts. "Whatever."

Naruto howls in frustration. A curse is about to leave his mouth when he hears a beep from his walkie-talkie. It is the manager, who calls for his presence right away.

"Ugh. Kakashi's going to go nuts if this keeps happening." He murmurs then adds loudly, strutting towards the door. "Omegle, bastard. Try it and maybe a miracle would change your mood swings."

It's been weeks since Naruto suggested the online chat platform. He's heard of it before but never finds it interesting, and his lack of free time due to tight schedules has easily slipped it off his mind... until his break.

His tour has finally reached its last stop a month ago and while his team are still working for his future projects, albeit not as busy as they were before, he is fortunately given time to relax and spend the next few months on his own, supposedly to gain inspiration on his future album.

While he still keeps in touch with his friend and manager, along with his family who happens to be far away from him due to each of their own business trips, he finds himself curious about the said platform as he has nothing else to do. Much to his chagrin.

You chat with someone anonymously. There's nothing to lose! His voice echoes.

"Tch. Whatever."

Hence, in a matter of minutes he sits in front of his laptop and waits to be connected with a stranger, his expectation literally zero. He keeps repeating to himself that he was doing it out of curiosity and boredom, and not because Naruto suggested it.

It's her fifth try and Sakura Haruno seems to run out of luck because she hasn't met any sane person yet. Every single one of them are either bots or horny men asking her for some nudes. And it's frustrating. Since it gained a bit more popularity recently, people who are in it for genuine conversations became rare gems.

She only means to destress from her medical studies where she can rant and whine about her hardships, and sometimes learn from new cultures as well.

And Ino, as much as she wants to listen and be a good friend to her, has her own work to tend to. Their family's luxury flower shop has been slowly expanding thanks to her efforts and the two best friends barely have time to catch up anymore.

It was Ino's suggestion that she tries it.

Hello!

She types, enthusiastic and hopeful as ever. Then quickly adds.

And no, I won't send you nudes.

It takes a few seconds before she receives a reply.

She is surprised at the answer. The strangers often disconnect at this point and she couldn't hide the delight in her response.

Finally! You're the first normal person I ever encountered!

She tilts her head, amused.

Oh, are you new here?

.

I see. Well, I've been trying to connect for 5x now and I've yet to meet a real person who's not offering me dick pics or asking me for some nudes.

Oh so you're not the talkative type huh?

She giggles. It's funny how she can feel this stranger's annoyance.

Then why are you here? She types. You're supposed to talk a lot here.

She waits again, before he replies.

The girl laughs before sharing the same reason.

Funny, my best friend did the same. Although, I find it useful when I need someone to listen to my med school woes, that's why I keep coming back. It's fun too!

Sakura frowns. Whoever this stranger is surely went to the wrong platform. However, as long as he or she listens, she will keep it going. Plus the mysterious vibes he is giving off pokes her curiosity.

So why did you try it?

There was silence for awhile and she worries the stranger was about to disconnect when -

Sakura gasps that she chokes on her spit, almost dropping her laptop from the laughter that escapes from her throat. Omegle, to improve their social skills? It was absurd! Way too absurd.

I'm sorry, I laughed way too hard on that.

The silence convinces her that the stranger is annoyed.

Are you an introvert?

She scoffs then types up the obvious solution. Then don't be in a crowd.

His response takes a while.

This time she doesn't muffle her laugh and hits another reply.

Ironic huh? Hahahahaha I applaud you for staying in your job then.

That's probably short for - 'you're right but I won't tell you because I have a stick up my ass' :P

Your situation makes everything funny. I like you!

She admits honestly. Even though his replies were short and direct, she could tell he is, in the very least entertained. His next reply doesn't even bother her, instead it puts a wide smile on her face.

On that night, Sakura finds herself chatting the night away with a stranger that she fails to notice that it was close to morning when she catches a glimpse of her clock. Thanks to her eagerness, she is able to learn more about him despite his one-worded answers. A guy about her age, living two cities away from her and pursuing a business management career.

And while she still firmly believes that giving off personal information to strangers is a big no-no, she takes up the risk of telling him her personal number in hopes of continuing their conversation outside the platform. He sounded like he needed someone to talk to.

Sorry I had to cut this short but hey, if you're still up for it, you can reach me here.

I know I should be updating The Unexpected Visitor, but this prompt has been sitting for months and I've always wanted to flesh out the outline I made, hence. It's the usual trope but I focused on their development this time.

I swear this is a one-shot but I don't know what happened for it to reach 10k words so I'll be dividing it into smaller parts. Don't worry, it's finished but I'll upload one chapter a day because I feel like editing and rereading everything first before posting!

It's quite a different style from what I'm used to but I hope you enjoyed it!

Let me know what you guys think!
