《Raised by Heroes》Chapter 26

"So, let me see if I understand this all correctly," Annabeth said to Mika as she, Annabeth, Percy, and Grover walked.
"Alrighty then." Mika hummed, clearly interested in what she would ask her
"So as you were going home, this card flew down from the sky?"
"Yup"
"Was there any message? Was it from one of the gods?"
"There wasn't a message, I was just minding my own business while I was waiting for my guardian to arrive when I suddenly saw something fly down from the sky," Mika said.
"So you just decided to pick it up?"
"Yes, and I started to get dreams at night from these people, there...memories and names I guess?" She explained and Annabeth asked her about them, "Well...just like said, there were memories. One was a blue spearman from the Ulster cycle, I think there was an Indian, a Roman emperor...There was even a memory of a from the Trojan War, there was a guy who looked scary...I almost thought I'd die by a spear. What's worse was that he turned into Clarisse seeking revenge for that Flag game!" I said dramatically in the end which made everyone sweatdrop.
"So how did you change into...that?" Grover questioned asked and Mika raised her fist to the air, sparkles in her eyes, "I don't know. But it's just another day for a newly made magical girl!"
Cue Percy, Annabeth, and Grover anime sweat dropping again.
"Well, well." Ares, the war god said as the four arrived. "You didn't get yourselves killed."
"You knew it was a trap so you decided to make someone entertain instead, am I right?" Mika said with knowing the answer as she let her arms cross each other.
Ares gave her a wicked grin. "Bet that crippled black-smith was surprised when he netted a couple of stupid kids- too bad you weren't in it mortal. You would've looked good on TV, though it was cut short by a guy in white, who was that?" He said.
"Like we'll tell," Mika said as Percy shoved his shield at him. "You're a jerk," He said as if to finish his friend's sentence.
Annabeth and Grover caught their breath.
Ares grabbed the shield and spun it in the air like pizza dough. It changed form, melting into a bulletproof vest. He slung it across his back.
"See that truck over there?" He pointed to an eighteen-wheeler parked across the street from the diner. "That's your ride. Take you straight to L.A., with one stop in Vegas."
The eighteen-wheeler had a sign on the back, which I could read only because it was reverse-printed white on black, a good combination for dyslexia:
"You're kidding," Percy said then Ares snapped his fingers. The back door of the truck was unmatched automatically. "Freeride west, punk. Stop complaining. And here's a little something for doing the job."
He slung a blue nylon backpack off his handlebars and tossed it to Percy.
Mika looked inside with Percy, she saw fresh clothes, twenty bucks in cash, a pouch full of golden drachmas, and a bag of Double Stuff Oreos. 'What? No Drinks?' She thought, but she did feel something hiding inside the bag, like a small barrier or charm in it.
"I don't want your lousy—"
"Thank you, Lord Ares," Grover interrupted Percy, giving his best red-alert warning look to him. "Thanks a lot."
As Mika was about to speak, she heard someone whistling a high note. Recognizing it, she looked behind Ares and saw Altria with Jeanne beside her.

"Well, it's good joining you guys, see ya when you're still alive!" Mika smiled with a playful finger gun at Percy, Grover, and Annabeth and ran past Ares to go to the alter servants.
__
"Altria! Joan!" Mika said as she went to them, receiving a tight hug from the Jalter and a pat on the head from Altria. "Ack! You're wet! I knew I shouldn't have done that..." Joan groaned while secretly eyeing Ares like a target. She doesn't trust him, neither did Altria, as both were on guard even though they looked somewhat lax.
"Where's Gilga Ojitan?" Mika asked when he wasn't here.
"You are not nine Mika, so never call me that again."
Mika loosened her hug with Joan and turned to Gilgamesh who was walking to them.
"But I like doing it, and you can't stop me!" She said with a grin. She also noticed one of the waitresses and a few customers glaring at them from the diner's window. "Umm...did something happen while I was gone?"
"Well, these two decided to fight and break the table. We were kicked out and I had to pay for it. Even having to pay those mongrels when our food was spilled over them" Gilgamesh said with an irritant sigh.
"It was her fault!" Both alter servants said and when Gilgamesh was about to start a full-on lecture, he stopped to look back at the diner, which had only a couple of customers now. Mika looked at the diner too and sees the waitress who'd served them dinner was watching nervously out the window at Ares and her friends. She dragged the fry cook from the kitchen to see and said something. The chef nodded, holding up a disposable camera, and snapped a picture of them. The waitress looked around at the window and said something inaudible.
Mika couldn't read what the Waitress' was saying but can guess what.
"They're looking for you. She must have seen you go out with them." Gilgamesh said while Mika was looking at Percy with Grover and Annabeth as Ares drove off with his motorcycle. "Well let's get you out of here," Mika then shot the king a confused look, "Aren't I going with you guys?" She asked and kept glancing to another view, seeing that her friends went in the truck after Percy who was waving at her goodbye before Annabeth smacked him upfront but also waved with Grover as they saw her look at them.
"No, you will go to Las Vegas with Saber. Those Argonauts won't look for themselves." Gilgamesh said, before Mika could do anything, she gasped, feeling a force going in and out of her, in a blink of an eye, she and Altria were in Las Vegas. Mika realized that Gilgamesh had sent them here via the Gates of Babylon, what confused her was that she remembered him lecturing both Fujimaru's that he was not a delivery service and he won't teleport someone to another place again. Oh, what a confusing king Gilgamesh can be...
They travelled along the streets of Las Vegas for a bit, wandering a little aimlessly. Passing pyramids that a certain Rider would either laugh or something, a ship that would make the pirate servants might want to play on, and a small replica of the Statue of Liberty.
They then found themselves at a dead-end, standing in front of a Hotel and Casino. The entrance was a huge neon flower, the petals lighting up and blinking. No one was going in or out, but the glittering chrome doors were open, spilling out air-conditioning that smelled like Lotus blossoms.

Mika looked up to see the huge neon sign that read 'Lotus Hotel and Casino.'
Mika slowly took a step towards the Building...only to freeze and back away immediately. 'It's a Bounded field...' She thought, 'This one's different from a normal one though.'
Furthermore, there was something...Off about the bounded field. Mika didn't know why, but it felt like if she went in, everything would feel distorted.
"Should we go in there?" Mika mumbled to Altria, who looked skeptical for a moment. "Unless you wanna cool down and investigate?" Altria commented and both decided to go in after thinking about the air conditioning(Mika).
-Mɪᴋᴀ's ᴘᴏᴠ.-
"Hello there." Said a doorman at the door, smiling at us. "Do you want to come in..? Cool off?"
I was a tad suspicious, but this guy seemed normal.
Then again... I met a War god, went into an abandoned park, changed into some sort of form similar to a certain Lancer, got slightly drenched, and almost risked myself to let out a secret.
Both Altria and I went in and found ourselves in a lobby that was like a giant game room. There was an indoor water slide snaking around the glass elevator. A climbing wall on the side of one wall and an indoor bungee-jumping bridge. There was virtual-reality gear. Hundreds of video games, each one the size of a widescreen TV. A few other kids were playing, but not that many. No waiting for any games. There were waiters and snack bars all around too.
"Hello there!" A receptionist said as she went up to us with a grin. She wore a white-and-yellow Hawaiian shirt with lotus designs, shorts, and flip-flops. "We've been expecting you!"
I frowned, obviously they had confused us with somebody else.
"We didn't make reservations here," Altria told her.
"Don't be ridiculous," Told the receptionist. "We were sure you'd cancel, but now that you're here, everything's fine. Here are the keys to your hotel rooms..." The woman gave us the numbered hotel room keys. "These are your Lotus Cash cards, good for every game at this hotel." She said as she handed us two green plastic hotel cards. "Have a great time!"
When the receptionist left, the two of us looked at each other. Incapable of telling what just happened.
We decided to just walk around, thinking how and why was there a bounded field in this casino. Maybe Jason and the others might be here, how strong is this bounded field anyway? Everyone looked normal as they played numerous games and ate small snacks that almost resembled flowers, there's even a guy arm wrestling another guy with grass hair and he seems to be-
Wait...Grass hair?
I turned my head back to the guy with green hair, yup. It's Achilles. Somehow with an entourage of people cheering for him...how long has he been here exactly?
"Altria, I found-" I was about to call the Saber but was interrupted by a waiter holding a tray full of lotus-like cookies.
"Try a lotus flower, It's our signature dish." He said, "Really? Signature?" Altria hummed as she took a bite on one of them. "Thanks, but do we have to pay for this?" I asked the waiter but he just shook his head and left. 'I guess we don't.' I thought and looked to Altria who had this dazed look, which was odd until I noticed the flower cookies, they all had real lotus petals stuck together with Icing.
Looking around, I noticed that everything had flower themes. All relating to the same Lotus flower. All the waitresses were serving the same edible flower cookie.
I recall there being a Greek legend about...
"Why didn't I notice sooner!" I muttered with a slap on my forehead for forgetting the small story, a barely noticeable one at that.
"Altria, wake up! We have to find the Argonauts!" I said to her, "I'm sure they could handle themselves...I'm just gonna go to that buffet though," She said as she walked away.
Plan B it is...gulp

I turned around and made a gasping noise, "Eh?! Is that Gudao-Nii with Joan!?" I exclaimed and saw Altria halt her steps and got in front of me in a flash, "Where?" She said and I started giggling with a sweat drop on my forehead.
I soon explained the circumstances to her, which she understood while muttering about food betrayal as we separated to find the missing Servants.

I finally snapped Achilles out of his Arm-wrestling spree, then explained how many days were they missing and what this place was. He understood and told me that he went here with Jason, Medea Lily (Heaven knows how she didn't find anything sus, I'm just confused), Cù Chulainn Lancer, Proto Cu, and Hector(Decided not to ask how they convinced him to go to this trip).
I wanted to ask more questions but decided not to since we might've been here for a day now (Even if it felt like minutes).
So here I am, searching for one of them.
Though there was one problem...

Percy.
Percy Fucking Jackson was right there, playing a sharpshooter arcade game.
I looked up annoyingly as if someone was watching this like a show, why do we keep meeting like this?
"Want a Lotus flower miss?" I looked to the side to see a waitress with a tray of flower cookies. I smiled and nodded as I took one, but as she left I threw it to the gate of Babylon and walked towards kelp for brains.
"Percy?" I coughed but he didn't notice, "Perce? Perseus? Ms. Jackson??" I kept calling, I will apologize a trillion times for this (Not). Getting annoyed, I Smack-ed him in the head making him look at me. "Apologies, but you should get out of here. It's a trap!" I said.
Percy tried his best to focus on me "Trap? Ugh..." I dug my nail into his shoulder and Percy flinched by the pain. His eyes started to focus on me and started to regain his consciousness. He blinked again and started to look around, trying to get his bearings.
"Uh, how are you here?" Percy asked me "In the Hotel I mean"
"I wandered here accidentally and found you a second later even though I've been here with who knows how many hours! I was sus so I asked the random Mongrels here and there and went to you! So I need to get you guys outta here fast"
Percy grabbed my arm "Mind to explain why?"
I groaned inwardly but then tapped a random kid by the shoulder, "Excuse me, but what year is it? Tryin' to make sense with my friend here" I asked with a short smile, "Sure dude, it's 1993" He said and left. I took my phone out and it showed the date which freaked me out since we've been here for two days already. The minute numbers looked like slow seconds which is giving me the White Rabbit vibes.
"See? He said it's still in 1993, and you know what year is it? Even my phone has the date different! So we need to find the others before it's too late to find the perpetrator of the bolt!" I said and looked back to Percy. "No, that's impossible. We only in here for minutes, not years" He gave me disbelieving looks. I sighed in frustration and shook his body again "I will make you unconscious and drag you like a sack of potatoes if you don't trust me right now!" Though it will be fun to see your face if I carried you like a bride.
Percy groaned when I shook his body hard "Okay, okay. I trust you so stop shaking me"
I stopped and told him to find Annabeth while I find Grover then left him.
I kept bumping into people and ignored their angry looks, they are not my main concern right now. I'm supposed to find Heroic Spirits, not Present-day Demigods and a Satyr. I hoped they still had time to finish the quest though.
I was trying to see if I could spot Grover, when someone caught me of the guard, almost bowling me over. I turned my head to see who the human projectile was.
A small kid had run straight into me. He peeked up at me from behind his dark, curly bangs.
"You okay, kid?" I asked, apologetic.
"Yes, I'm so sorry!" the boy babbled, accepting my hand up. "My sister always told me I should be more careful, but someone said they're betting a Hades figurine in a Mytho-Magic game, and I was excited!"
Mytho-magic, this child's been here since the 1930s. Probably 70 years old now, poor child
"Nico!"
I turned to see a girl in a milkmaid braid updo. She grabbed her brother, dusting him off like a mother hen- something I'm very familiar with- before turning back to me.
"I'm sorry about my brother. He tends to run around. Oh! I'm sorry, I've been rude," she exclaimed. "I'm Bianca Di Angelo, this is my little brother, Nico."
"No worries, it's fine" I smiled back politely. "I need to get going to my friends anyway, bye," I said and quickly turned around and ran to the other side, my eyes kept darting around as I found Grover there.
"Grover!" I called him.
He didn't bother to turn as he kept his focus on the game. I growled and reached for his shoulder. "The quest!" I yelled at him and shook his body "Percy! The bolt?!" But Grover just turned around to pointed his gun at my face "Die, filthy human!"
My hand twitched at this, I slapped the gun away and grabbed his T-shirt collar "Down Goat boy" I pulled him hard until he let go of the gun, and dragged him away from the game.
Grover wailed like an elephant with a stomachache, some of the guards even approached me. I gritted my teeth as I kept dragged Grover to the front door. When I reached the front door, I saw Percy rubbed his left cheek, and I swore I saw a handprint on there. Annabeth on the other hand still glaring at Percy and she looked pissed.
"Guys!" I yelled. I swear they should just kiss and make up already...
Percy and Annabeth's heads snapped towards my direction "Mika! I thought you got lost in there" Percy said and sighed in relief.
"Out now!" I urged, dragging Grover faster "The guards are starting to chase us, I bet they won't follow us if we are on the outside! Now!"
Annabeth and Percy nodded as they quickly pushed the door opened, I shoved Grover to the outside and he landed on the sidewalk face first.
I flinched when I heard Grover whined.
I'll get enchiladas after this, I-I promise!
But before I could reach the door, another hand grabbed mine and dragged me inside.
"Shit!" I cursed and turned my head.
The hotel guards managed to catch me and he gave me this creepy grin "Where do you think you are going, ma'am?"
"Out from here!" I spat at him "I'm not stupid enough to believe you and this stupid Hotel!" The guard's grip got tighter on my arm "Ah, so you realize"
"No shit!" I hissed and kicked him hard "Let me go or you will regret it!"
Before I could do anything, a gray case was smacked on his head making him faint. I blinked at that and looked at a blonde guy with green eyes who held the case.
"Jason!" I said and he grinned.
Behind him were the rest of the servants which made me sigh in relief. They were all in modern clothes, some even holding the same cases, it's money, isn't it?
Wait...since Altria did all of the work finding them while I was finding Percy and the others, maybe I should ask Gudao-nii to take her on a date?
I broke my train of thought when I felt a hand patting my head, it was Medea Lily who was nudging me to get out of the hotel with them, she also asked if I were alright which I nodded at with a smile.
Soon as I did I saw Percy and Annabeth treating Grover who was on the floor, "A satyr in the city? That's new" I heard Hector mutter since when I threw Grover, it accidentally made one of his fake human legs loosened and revealed his hoof, whoops.
"Wanna explain why your friends are two Demigods and a Satyr, Meeks?" Achilles was the one who asked, "W-well I want to ask that myself as well, it happens I guess???" I said sheepishly, and I thought everyone was over at calling me, Meeks... "W-wait! How do you know their demigods in the first place?" I asked and he pointed at Altria with his thumb, that makes sense.
"Are they your family Mika?' I turned to hear Percy say, "Yup, we decided to go vacay here but you know what happened." I said and introduced them as my cousins (Cu Lancer and Proto and Jason), older sister(Medea lily), and uncles(Hector and Achilles).
Only, not by their names though. I mean:
