"Come on, we might be late." Crystal said while dragging a sad Mika, they were informed by a naiad that dinner was about to start but Mika still wanted to enjoy the hot springs, she complied later though when she thought of the food.

In the distance, a conch horn blew which made Crystal drag Mika harder as they almost ran. "Cris, we could trip if you keep doing that," Mika said and she was right when Crystal tripped from a tree's root, luckily Mika grabbed her arm before she did and both of them just continued to walk fast instead.

Luckily, both of them made it as they walked up the hill to the dining pavilion.

Seconds later, Satyrs joined them from the meadow, Naiads emerged from the lake and a few dryads walked out of the woods. By the time people had stopped trickling in, there were about a hundred campers, a few dozen satyrs and a dozen of Wood Nymphs and Naiads in all.

"I think I can see Percy, let's go." Crystal said to Mika who scanned the area.

At the pavilion, torches blazed around the marble columns. A central fire burned in a bronze brazier the size of a bathtub. Each cabin had its own table, covered in white cloth and trimmed in purple.

Four of the tables were empty, but cabin eleven was beyond overcrowded. Mika opted for standing rather than hanging off the table. So instead she leaned against the pillar just behind the cabin eleven tables even if Crystal and Percy insisted for her to sit with the others. Even if Hermes' Acceptance Policy accepts her to the table as well.

She could see Grover sitting at the twelfth table with Dionysus, a few other satyrs and a couple of blond twins who looked just like the wine god. They all stood just to the side with Chiron, the table being far too small for the Centaur.

She saw Annabeth sitting at a table with a bunch of serious-looking athletic kids, all with her gray eyes and golden blond hair.

She glanced at Clarisse, the girl she had met earlier in the day, she was laughing and belching right alongside her friends- or was it, cousins? Kin?

Mika then looked at the Hermes cabin members and walked to them and said. "Okay, listen up. I'm aware that Hermes is also the god of thieves. So if you take anything from Percy or Crystal without them or I specifically giving it to you. Well...let's just say, I'll be that one nightmare you hate to come true! Beware of leeches, frogs and lots of mud suddenly appearing in your sleep!" She said happily but had that dangerous aura hanging around her, some gulped and the others sweat drop because it was their thing to be mischievous.

Mika laughed but stopped as she heard Chiron stomp his hoof against the marble that made up the floor of the pavilion making everyone fall silent. He raised his goblet. "To the gods!" he cried.

Everyone echoed him, though Mika only whispered it as she raised her head at the moon. She then saw Wood nymphs coming with platters of food which were fruits, cheeses, freshly baked bread, and barbecue. The last one made her mouth water. Mika smiled as one of the nymphs handed her a plate of meat and thanked her.

Though when she was confused when her goblet was empty, but Luke said from his seat at Cabin Eleven's table, "Speak to it. Whatever you want – nonalcoholic, of course."

Mika nodded and looked at her cup, she thought of having a soda but instead tried an experiment. "Peach on the beach smoothie." The goblet was instantly filled with a fruit smoothie. Mika took a sip, pleasantly surprised that it was cold as ice and tasted exactly what it was supposed to taste like. Perfect.

She raised her cup and silently made a toast to her friends, and to her new and old family. Missing them like nothing else and thought of visiting Irisviel if she was still in Percy's cabin.

She went to take a bite of her barbecue but stopped when she noticed that campers were getting up with their still full plates and headed towards the fire in the centre of the pavilion. When she was confused, one of the Hermes campers led me to the same destination as the others. She then saw everyone was taking a portion of their meat and dropping it into the fire. Kyle–the person who led her there murmured in her ear. "Offerings for the gods, they apparently like the smell. Just smell the smoke." He said to her and approached the fire after Luke, bowing his head, and tossing in a slice of butter roll and said "Hermes." He then looked at her saying it is her turn.

Mika scraped a huge slice of her meat, "To Artemis, Stheno and her sisters, Ishtar and..." she whispered with a few other names, she then tossed the slice of meat into the flames and was surprised when the smoke smelled a hundred good things that shouldn't have gone well together but did.

She then proceeded back to the column then took a bowl of strawberries and started eating her meal. Once everybody had sat down and everyone had finished their meal, Chiron pounded his hoof once more, causing everyone to look up from their food.

Dionysus got up with a huge sigh.

"Yes, I suppose I'd better say hello to all you brats. Well, hello. Our activities director, Chiron, says that the next capture the flag is Friday. Cabin Five currently holds the laurels."

A bunch of cheers erupted from the Ares kids.

"Personally," Mr. D continued. "I couldn't care less but congratulations. Also, I should tell you that we have some new campers today. Peter Johnson, Christal Steamback and Mica Akechi." Chiron then murmured something to him.

"Er, Percy Jackson, Crystal Steinback and Mika Akashi," Mr.D corrected. "That's right. Hurrah, and all that. Now run along to your silly campfire. Go on."

Everyone cheered. We all headed down to the amphitheatre, and the Apollo Cabin led the sing-along.

Not everyone listened to them though

The music slightly bored Mika even if it wasn't all about the gods. She couldn't handle it and snuck away after making one s'more and nabbed a guitar as she went.

Before long, she was sitting down by the beach, licking her fingers from her small desert, and started strumming the cords of one familiar tune. She didn't care that it wasn't about the gods, it was one of the songs she loved. She began to sing to herself.

Mika's voice carried back to the amphitheatre, where the campers were roasting marshmallows. At first, they didn't realize it was her except for Percy, Crystal and Grover. Who knew the person's voice the longest. Everyone except them didn't know, not until they started quietly filing down to the waterfront.

The campers exchanged glances as they listened to Mika's music. Some were starting to bob their heads to the tune. Several Apollo kids carefully started beating on some drums and playing other guitars

All the campers were now listening to the girl's elegant voice echo over the water.

But some were still surprised that she could sing the song in two languages.

Everyone started clapping as the music picked up, Mika was chanting the word "" and was too invested in her song to notice the crowd forming, even when the Apollo kids started playing their instruments and singing right next to her.

Everyone was stomping their feet and dancing to the beat. Even the Ares kids were in on it, despite some not liking the newcomer at all from that morning.

Chiron was curious what were the Japanese lyrics while Mika was chanting the word "" over again but with the others this time which made him smile as everyone was getting along with each other.

The song came to a stop with slowly fading cords, and it was only then that Mika noticed her audience. She turned to the campers and went bright red as they started cheering, the Apollo kids clapping her on the back good-naturedly. She rubbed the back of her head in embarrassment. The only people she had ever played for were her friends in school, her family or in some cases, lessons. Several of the campers asked if she was a child of Apollo, but she shot the idea down, saying she isn't blonde like them, but seeing as she wasn't a natural at singing or if she knows archery. That seemed to satiate curiosity for now.

Percy, Crystal and Grover teased her for that, Mika sighed knowing that that'll take a while.

"This will be your room for now Mika," Chiron said as they walked back to the Big house after the campfire ended. So Chiron showed Mika where she'll be staying in.

"Thanks, Chiron," Mika said to him and as he was about to close the door he said to her "Breakfast in the pavilion will start at eight in the morning." Mika nodded at him and soon she was alone in her new bedroom.

The walls were painted Beige and the floor was wood so it was cold when she took off her sneakers, the room consisted of a bed with a lamp on a nightstand, it had one window which was covered by dark brown curtains, there was also a study desk at a corner, a closet with some clothes–most of them being orange camp shirts, and finally, a bathroom.

Mika decided to just take a little bath, change to her sleeping wear and went to sleep knowing she had to wake up early.

The first day of Camp was pretty interesting.
