《Raised by Heroes》Chapter 9

I was walking beside Chiron to explore a few parts of the place.
We then passed a volleyball pit, several of the campers were nudging each other. One pointed to me-or my bandages in both of my arms then another said, "That's her."
I ignored them and hid my hands on my jeans. Most of the campers were older than me, there were many satyrs too. Some were bigger than Grover, trotting around only with orange Camp Half-blood shirts.
I looked back at the house. It was a lot bigger than I'd realized-four stories tall, sky blue with white trims, like an upscale seaside resort. I was checking out a brass eagle weather vane on the top roof when something caught my eye, a shadow in the uppermost window of the attic gable. Something or Someone had moved the curtain, just for a second, and I glared as I got a distinct impression that I was being watched.
But I soon ignored it knowing a question for that might be ignored.
"So where am I staying? Mr. D didn't really answer my question about that." I asked Chiron, "Well since you came here by accident. You'll be staying in a guest room in the big house–it's the one we walked out of–for the time being...but since the campers think that you're a demigod like them, you'll have to stay here the whole summer. If it's alright with you, Akashi?" He asked me.
"I guess I'll be fine with that, they'll get worried if I suddenly disappeared without question. But I'll try my hardest to lay low, just tell me what to and not to do. Like before at school" I told him and he chuckled. "Just don't cause any trouble for the time being...and maybe you can participate in some activities too." He said and I nodded excitingly.
I froze on my track and saw a kid with a towel, sweat glistened on his forehead and he was still panting, a sword strapped on his waist.
"Chiron," Luke nodded at him.
"Ah, Luke," Chiron said and he smiled "Good timing, can you give Mika a tour?"
I turned to Chiron slowly and shook my head quickly, ignoring the look from Chiron. Luke turned to face me and he grinned a mischievous grin.
"Sure," Luke said and wiped his sweaty forehead and his hand on his towel before offering his hand to me "Hi, I'm Luke" I took his hand and shook it slowly, why does he look familiar...
I looked at Luke up and down trying to remember something. Oh...pfft!
I couldn't help but snort in amusement. "Aren't you the guy I beaten up a few years ago?"

As Luke's face turned bright red, I let out a bark of laughter. "I knew it! You and some others were after that same Drakon back at Vermont!" I grinned.
With a sigh, Luke nodded. "Yeah, that was me. We had to come home empty-handed because of you."
I rubbed the back of my neck sheepishly. "Ah, please forgive me. That Monster had been annoying, it kept hunting animals and kept some of my neighbours awake at night. I could give you its talon or fang that I kept if you want some compensation that time," I said which made Luke look a bit surprised, but he shook his head. "It is not necessary. You've beaten all three of us fair and square and killed the Drakon on your own. You keep what you kill and all that."
I then shrugged. Suit yourself then...
"So, how are you?" He asked casually "Last time I saw you, you were out cold, well...more like dying"
"I'm still fine" I answered and rubbed the back of my head "Follow me," Luke said and I sighed as I followed him. Luke explained the camp to me, he said that there are 12 cabins, all represent the gods of Olympus.
"So you'll be staying at-"
"Sorry, but Chiron told me that I'll be sleeping in the big house," I told him and he got confused while I shrugged. It's all that I can think of, unfortunately.
We continued walking as he showed me the dining hall, amphitheatre, the forest, the beach, the training ground, strawberry fields and a lot of things.
I soon stopped when I heard a girl's voice, and it sounded angry, and I can also hear Percy's voice as well which made me frown. I sighed and slapped my forehead, here we go again.
I turned around, ignoring Luke's cries of protests and headed to the source of the sound. A bulky-looking girl already had Percy's neck on her arm while Crystal and Annabeth just watched in horror.
"Please let him go," I said casually and looked at the girl dead in the eye.
She saw me and her scowl went deeper "What do you want punk?!" she sneered, judging by everything...daughter of Ares.
Annabeth shook her head at me, but I just grinned mischievously "I said. Let him go." The girl just shoved Percy aside and he landed on his face "Do you have some problem punk?" she hissed at me and her friends behind her. I crossed my arms and cocked my head to the side "Well, it's against five to one" I smiled "Ares will be ashamed if he saw you like this. As the god of war, I think he wouldn't allow it."

Her eyes widened a bit "How did you know?"
"Violence act, big body, short temper, and most of all your strong" I deduced to her, "And Ares is pretty cool, aside from his short temper." I said again and slightly bowed with my hands together apologetically "But please forgive my friend, he has a tendency to bad mouth someone when he's in a mood."
"Tsk, fine," She said after a short pause, then turned around "And don't think I'll forget it," she told me and I then looked at her and smiled back saying "I'll make sure he'll behave the next time we meet."
When she was gone, Luke appeared beside me and panted hard.
He glared at me and scowled "What the Hades were you thinking?! Clarisse will beat the crap out of you!" I turned my head a bit so I can face him, so that's her name...It suits her. "She only use brute force and I just, let see...convince her to stop beat Percy" then I tapped my brain "I'm just using my brain here, strength isn't the strongest weapon, some time you just have to be clever"
When I looked at Annabeth, she looked at me in awe. I started to sweatdrop at this, I then walked to Percy and Crystal who grabbed his arm and pulled him up. "And you" I glared at him playfully "Have to learn to keep your thoughts to yourself"
Percy pushed me "Shut up! I can handle her you know!"
"Yeah right" Me and Crystal snorted. Percy growled and I heard something burst, and someone yelling from the toilet, my smile dropped.
"What was...!" Annabeth looked shocked.
"That was some pile of shit," I said casually and earned a glare from Crystal and Luke.

After that fiasco, I sat at the beach by myself and looked at the calm blue ocean and an almost evening sky.
Relaxing on the beach...all I need now was a Mango smoothie with a mini umbrella, some music, and it might as well be complete.
I closed my eyes and laid my back into the soft sand, enjoying the breeze.
This day feels absolutely perfect, and I wanted to enjoy it.
"Hey, you must be one of the new kids" I opened one of my eyes and found a beautiful girl with brown hair and blue eyes looking at me. She smiled and sat right next to me.
"My name is Silena Beauregard," she said and looked at the ocean.
"Mika Akashi," I said and smiled.
"I heard you 'smooth talk' Clarisse to not kill your friend" she spoke in a gentle tone "I'm impressed, it's almost impossible to prevent her to kick somebody"
I then sat up straight, "I just spoke the truth though..."
"Almost all the campers talked about you," she said again "They said you are smart, like the Athena camper's" I rubbed the back of my head "Really?" I laughed and blushed nervously while she giggled "You look so cute when you're blushing like that" she said and stood up, dusting her jeans and left me stunned, I touched my cheek.
It's weird that I'm still blushing...I guess that she's the daughter of Aphrodite.
I blinked a couple of times and shook my head sighing "So, much for staying low" I mumbled and laid on the sand again. I sighed in contempt as I closed my eyes, enjoying the quiet afternoon, the warm sun and the cool breeze against my skin. 'I guess Ishtar was right when she told me that I'm Pansexual...I think that was the word, at least.' I thought blushing a little, thinking about it.
"Hey Mika," I heard another voice and I opened my eyes again to see Crystal who beamed at me "Come on, there's something I want to show you! Annabeth showed it to me." I just nodded and followed her, knowing that another camper might talk to me on the beach again and ruin the peace.

"Sugoi!!" I said in amazement as we were at a wooden building with some bamboo fences on each side, and the top of the wooden arch was written in Kanji meaning 'Sauna&Hot Springs' and there were two entrances, on the left has blue curtains meaning for boys and another with a pink one for girls.
"Turns out there's a lot of demigods worldwide and this one demigoddess from the Athena cabin completed a quest and requested a sauna for a reward! She got help with people from the Hephaestus cabin and fortunately, it's separated into two so-" Crystal was explaining when I suddenly held both of her hands tightly which stunned her.
"Let's go there now! I haven't been to one in ages!!" I said with sparkles in my eyes and dragged her inside the pink-curtained entrance.
"We shall use the hot springs first!" "What do you mean by first!?"
