I sat on the couch while Irisviel baked some cookies, a glass of warm milk in front of me and life couldn't be more perfect. It was surprising that she stayed here throughout the school year, if she told me I could have visited her at Christmas.
"How's the school, Mika? Did you make any friends?" Irisviel asked.
"It was kinda Great, I did lots of pranks and made a few good friends," I grinned at her and she just chuckled.
"I saw your report card," she said again and appeared from the kitchen, with a tray of cookies on her hand, "It's good, right?" I looked at her as she put the tray in front of me. My auntie- I mean Irisviel, smiled at me as she patted my head "You did great. I'm proud of you." I smiled and took a cookie, nibbling it slowly, savoring the delicious treat. I wonder if this is how Illyasviel felt when she's with her.
"So when are we going to the cabin your friend invited you in?" she asked.
Oops, that almost slipped in my mind, "In two hours, I already have my bag ready!" I said excitingly making her smile again.
"So how's one of your friends, Percy. I think? I heard that your friends with him from his mother back at January" That almost made me choke. "Um...Maybe stressed?" I answered her and she cocked her head. Ah, my big mouth. "I mean, he has to go back to that hell-hole." I quickly said which resulted in her whacking my head, "Language young lady, though I met Sally myself in her work only a few times, I still couldn't believe when she told me that..." She scolded me while I rubbed my head "You mean, Gabe. He often abuses them, right?"
Irisviel frowned when she remembered it "I can't believe Sally will put up with that guy. Well, she must have a reason." and she patted me on the head again. Suddenly her cellphone rang and she went to pick it up.
"Hello? Irisviel speaking?" She said to it, I wonder who it is.
"Really?" She said almost shocked, the voice sounded familiar though...
Irisviel then looked at me and said: "You should move the glass away from you dear, I don't want to spill the carpet." I was confused when she said that and left somewhere in the apartment but when I did just what she said, the door burst open and Grover came in, I jumped from my seat and almost knocked the glass, fortunately, the milk didn't spill into the aforementioned carpet and my skirt.
"Grover! Did you realize you almost spilled the milk!?" I glared at him.
"Don't have time" he cut me off "Anyways, have you seen Percy? I lost him at the bus station"
I raised my eyebrows at it "Percy? Did you check his home?"
Grover shook his head "Was already there," and he wrinkled his nose in disgust "Didn't find him there, his stepfather refused to tell me where he is. Percy is in danger!" Grover said quickly "He-he...."
"He said to me that he's going to the beach in Montauk when I tutored him yesterday." I said which made him stop stuttering to look at me, "You know the cabin that he and his mom used to stay in summer? The cabin next to Crystal's?" I explained to him.

"Mika, you know where the beach is?" Grover asked, I looked to him and nodded "Yeah, Crystal invited me to join her there, why?"
"Mrs. Akashi," Grover said and suddenly grabbed my arm "Is it possible to borrow your daughter for the moment?"
"Whoa there Hasty, wait a minute" I pulled him and glared at him "Just, what is going on here?"
"I'll just go with you guys, the cars almost ready," Irisviel said, wait. Car?
I looked at her surprised as she held up a key, then a realization came to me, was my dad on the phone to tell her the future?!
"Trust me, okay?" She said to me and looked at me in the eye.
"I don't-" "Let's go, Grover! You said to make haste didn't you?" I said while shoving the protesting goat.
It was sunset already and the moon started to climb the sky. I took a glanced at Grover who also glanced at me too. Our eyes met and Grover quickly broke the eye contact. I snickered at this, I never knew that Grover is shy, this is perfect blackmail material. The sky grew darker every second and Grover began to chew his shirt which Irisviel scolded him not to.
"This is bad," he said "Really bad"
When the rain started to drop, Grover became edgier "Ma'am, can you please a bit quicker? This is important" Grover asked in a hurry. "It's Irisviel to you, Grover." She said to him "Both of you. Seatbelts. The beach is not too far from here."
I hurriedly did as she told and the car's speed was almost fast as a rollercoaster, which only made Grover scream in fear and gasp when we arrived at the destination.
Note to self, I want to experience it again.
Irisviel nodded at me and I grabbed Grover's arm and opened the door, I dragged him with Iri behind us. " I flinched when I heard something roar in the distance, while Grover started to whimper.
"Come on!" Irisviel said but Grover started to stumble to remove his pants. I knew he could run faster without jeans and shoes, but seriously, he removed his pants in front of me!
I saw a pair of goat leg and I looked at him skeptically
"Seriously?" I exclaimed, "So, goat legs. That's normal...I guess" Grover was a bit surprised. "You're not going to deny it?" Grover asked.
"Nah, I had a guess," I said casually "From the way you walk and run, and your obsession with enchiladas. I also heard you baa like an actual goat" I explained
"I'm a Satyr!" he yelled at me. "Are you two going to argue more? Because something is behind and getting closer as we speak" Irisviel said and I mumbled a sorry while Grover began to run, I rolled my eyes. I quickly follow him and tried to keep my pace. The wind getting stronger and the rain began to pour at the time we arrived at the cottage where Percy stayed. The growling became louder and louder, Grover wasted no time and he began to bang at the door.
"PERCY!" he yelled, "OPEN THE DOOR!"
While he did that, another roar was heard. My eyes suddenly went wide when I saw a glimpse of a huge monster. "Asterios..." Iridviel muttered it was the bull counterpart. Asterios' soul was separated in half when he died, one had most of its human parts which became the Servant, while the other took most of the bull parts and became what its other namesake is; the Minotaur.

"Grover! Keep trying!" I yelled at him through the rain "I'll keep our guest busy," I muttered. "Stay safe Mika, I'll stay here and keep your friends and their parents safe for the time being," Irisviel said which comforted me, I then hugged her which surprised her.
"Please be careful too, Auntie," I said and she hugged back, "A beloved child should be sent on a journey, right?" She mumbled and let me go.
I then charged at the Minotaur right after that, ignoring Grover's cries of protest. I stopped right in front of the Minotaur as It roared and punched the ground.
I used to be mentored by Asterios occasionally so I wasn't bothered by anyone's height and looks, but I didn't expect that his other self would look like the ones from the movies.
The Minotaur had greyish skin, two huge horns, a pair of huge hands and big cow feet. He wore no clothes except for bright white Fruit of the Looms underwear, a sight that would've made me laugh at any other time. Coarse brown hair stared at midway down his stomach and got thicker as it moved up his body to his shoulders. His neck was a mass of muscle and fur leading to his enormous head, which was made up of a snout as long as my arm, snotty nostrils with a gleaming brass ring, cruel black eyes that can match a few Servants I know. The top of his head had massive black-white horns with points needle-thin.
I heard it roar and I quickly ducked as a big muscled arm swung just an inch from my head. I rolled to the side to go back on my feet and scanned the Minotaur, the only thing I need is speed, strength, and a very sharp weapon.
The Minotaur lowered its head and pointed its pointy horn at me. I quickly jumped to the side when it charged at me. I landed on the soft sand and quickly scrambled to my feet, the seawater touched my shoe and instantly soaked it until my toes.
I curled up against my toes, ignoring the cold and sticky sensation coming from it as I held on of my arms up to the side, a golden shimmer appeared near my hand as a dagger was summoned. It was equally similar to the one's Jack the ripper has.
With every step, the Minotaur shook the ground slightly.
I wonder, what will normal people see right now? A 12 years old kid played tag with a Rhino(the Spider-man character) wannabe?
I gripped my dagger tighter and closed my eyes, trying to relax every muscle on my body and breathe slowly.
Deep breathes, that's what they've taught you.
I don't need to kill it, I just have to buy some time so Grover and the others could escape.
I opened my eyes slowly to find the Minotaur charged at me, horns facing towards my face. I rushed to the charging Bull humanoid as a plan formed on my mind.
Using the sand, I bent one of my knees and slid below the Minotaur and slashed one of its legs making it roar. After I passed through its body, I pushed myself with my left arm to see the monster stopped and skid through the wet sand of the beach, and straight to the sea.
When it completely stopped, I ran towards the Minotaur who was busy trying to turn back, using my high speed, I jumped and flipped through the air. I flew past the minotaur and using my free hand, I grabbed one of its horns. Before it could react, I stabbed one of its eyes with my dagger and I pushed it deeper until the hilt rested on its eyes. The Minotaur roared in anger and pain, I let my hand go and plunged into the cold seawater. I barely dodged its feet and pushed my body upwards for more oxygen. I gasped when my head finally emerged from the seawater, but my luck had already ended right there.
The Minotaur somehow grabbed my body and lifted me from the seawater, It brought me close to its ugly face and snarled at me, before harshly throwing me into the sea. I whimpered when my back hit the water, it felt like one of Merlin's tricks when he zapped me in swordsmanship. Before I could recover, the Minotaur punched me on the stomach, sending me underwater as my back hit the sand below it.
I gagged in the water and quickly cursed myself as the water began to fill my lung. It hurts like hell and my brain started to go haywire. The Minotaur lifted me again, I coughed violently and threw some water up when the oxygen hit me again.
The Minotaur drew my dagger from his left eye and threw it behind me, it landed on the sand but I didn't know where I felt too weak to fight. The Minotaur raised his hand which had me in it, slammed me again into the ocean. The seawater rushed into my lungs again as it held me underwater. I desperately need fresh air, oxygen, I need to breathe.
The Minotaur lifted me again, and it was about to punch me, it stumbled back deeper into the ocean and another hand grabbed my shoulder which lifted me from the sea. I coughed out the salty seawater again and breathed heavily, my lungs burned and my brain is in pain. That mysterious person began to drag me to the shore and dropped me there, I narrowed my eyes at the one who saved me, all I saw was a grown-up version of Percy stood there.
"...Poseidon..." I said weakly as the sea god helped me up.
He didn't say anything and handed me my dagger back "I didn't help you. I just happened to pass by and the Minotaur 'accidentally' attacked me" He looked at me and smiled slightly "Besides, it disturbs my kingdom and I have the right to defend it."
After that he just disappeared–more like melt into the ocean, I mean.
I narrowed my eyes at the ocean and saw some big tentacle and a few cyclops held the Minotaur back, effectively by a lot of time. I un-summoned my dagger and slowly dropped on my back again from the pain, so I healed myself using magic slowly. It started to numb some of the pain, then I heard some voices say my name. I must be hallucinating...

The Loyal Ones [Dark Biopunk Fantasy]
TLDR; A slave monster survives horror, war and servitude, while trying to live with himself. Thralls are a race of monstrous slave soldiers, in a universe where biological magic takes the place of technology. Centuries ago, their ancestors were desperate humans, who volunteered to be transformed for the Poison War. Today their unfortunate descendants are still soldiers and laborers. In contract law they are 'corporate wards'; slaves owned largely by arms dealers. Dally Harper starts this story as a champion cage fighter. He is one of the 'lucky' ones. It's all downhill from there. Content Warning: Explicit violence and gore, slavery, implied sexual assault. None of these are framed as positive or glorified, however they do have a strong impact on the plot and main characters.

It isn't omnipotent and has definite origins which I'll explain later in the story. Another important aspect is world-building and crafting. I'll go into quite a lot of detail on both of them.
