"What do you want Tobio-Chan?" Oikawa groaned as he glared slightly at the younger boy, "How do I be a better setter!" Kageyama yelled.
As the two talked or more like argued (Y/N) sat on a nearby bench and Takeru came to join her "Hi." the kid said. "Hey there." (Y/N) plainly stated as she placed down her shopping bags and pulled out her phone.
"Do you like my uncle like all those others girls?" he questioned.
'Wow kids these days are so blunt'.
"Wait that guy is your uncle?" she asked while she pointed at Oikawa, "Yeah." Takeru replied, "Well if you really wanna knew, I hate your uncle." (Y/N) stated. "Really?", "Yup, he's a germ filled jerk with a bunch of annoying fan girls." the ravenette sighed.
"What's your name?" Takeru asked with sparkled in his eyes as he looked up at the girl. "It's (Y/N), what about you kids?" she replied. "I'm Takeru, it's nice to meet you (Y/N)-Nee!" the little boy beamed.
"Wait what did you call m-".
"Takeru hurry come take a picture of this!" Oikawa yelled and both those on the bench looked to see Kageyama bowing in front of Oikawa. So Takeru sighed as he jumped of the bench and grabbed his uncle's phone to take a stupid picture.
"Tch, so self-absorbed he doesn't even say please to his own nephew, talk about conceded." (Y/N) grumbled. "Huh, wait.......your voice sounds familiar when your not yelling." Oikawa muttered as he observed the girl more. He recognized her from the café, but he felt like he had seen her from somewhere else.
"Wait you're that girl from the tournament!".

After a quick talk with between Oikawa and (Y/N), then a pretty okay speech to Kageyama the two Oikawa's left the ravenettes. "You know everything he told you is basically what I told you last night." (Y/N) yawned as she punched Kageyama in the arm. "Hey what was that for!" he yelled, "That was for being a dumbass you dumbass." (Y/N) stated with a slight glare, "Anyways let's get going I wanna head home." she said and started walking ahead.

Along the way the two talked quite a lot, well it was mostly about how Kageyama needed to improve and such. Then before they knew it they were at Kageyama's house. "I didn't know my house was that close by." he groaned. "Why do you always sound so grumpy, lighten up." (Y/N) laughed and pushed Kageyama towards his house.
"Now get going I'll see you at practice tomorro-"
"Tobio where have you been! You said you'd be back by lunch!" a women yelled from the Kageyama residents. "Wait who's that behind the gate, is that one of your friends?!" she called out once more. "Ha your getting scolded by your mum." (Y/N) laughed then took a step forward so she was in eye range with the lady.
"Hi ma'am, my name is (Y/N), I'm a friend of Kageyama's!" (Y/N) called out with the sweetest smile she could muster. "Oh my goodness, you're so pretty! Tobio how dare you make such a sweet little girl walk home alone!" his mother frowned as she quickly approached the two teens. She opened the gate and motioned for them to both come in.
"Oh I shouldn't I wouldn't want to intrude." (Y/N) said politely "Oh it's no trouble dear, at least come in for a drink." Kageyama's mother said. "Ah well if you insist." (Y/N) replied then hesitantly entered the front yard. Followed by the younger Kageyeama who was being glared at by his mother.
As the small group entered they all took of their shoes and entered the neat home belonging to the Kageyama family. "Your house is beautiful ma'am, thank you for inviting me in." (Y/N) said, "Of course dear, I'm happy to invite any friend of Tobio's here." Ka- (I can't keep calling her Kageyama's mom I'm too lazy for that shitz, so now her name is Aiko).
"How about you sit down and tell me a little about yourself (Y/N)." Aiko smiled as she pulled out the kettle and tea cups. "I hope tea is okay with you." she said "Anything is fine ma'am, I'm not picky." (Y/N) smiled. "Well aren't you sweet, how did Tobio ever get a friend like you?" Aiko questioned.

"Mom!".
"What Tobio I'm simply telling the truth, you have always had trouble making friends." Aiko sighed. "Oh well I help around with the volleyball club, so Kageyama and I just naturally became friends since we're in the same year." (Y/N) explained. "That's nice, I'm glad he met you, you seem like a very nice young lady." Aiko smiled.
"Thank you ma'am, but all the credit goes to my parents." (Y/N) smiled back, "Well they did excellent work raising you sweetheart." Aiko stated. "Yeah yeah (Y/N)'s great, but she should be heading home now." Kageyama growled in another glare from his mother.
"Tobio be nice, she's our guest and she hasn't even had any tea yet!" Aiko scolded her son once again. Kageyama just groaned as he sat back down at the table next to (Y/N), "It's alright ma'am I'm used to Kageyama already so I know he doesn't always mean everything he says." the ravenette reassured the mother.
After that Kageyama shut up and the three sat down while Aiko and (Y/N) talked to each other, Kageyama only entering the conversation once or twice. Aiko wanted to know everything about the girl and ended up learning everything. She even teared up when she learned about the fate of (Y/N)'s family.
"Oh dear it's so late, I should start dinner soon!" Aiko exclaimed as she looked at the time.
'Finally it's all over!'
"(Y/N) how about you stay over for dinner, it is already quite late." Aiko suggested, 'Why did you do this mom, just why.'. "I wouldn't want to impose ma'am!" (Y/N) smiled, "Oh no it would be no trouble at all, I'd love to have you over for dinner!" Aiko "Well if your having me over I should help." (Y/N) said as she stood up and grabbed a hair tie to tie up her hair.
"No your our guest I couldn't make you help, if anything that son of mine should be offering to help." Aiko growled slightly as she sent yet another piercing glare at Kageyama. "It's no trouble, and I can't just let you treat me all day, so please let me help." (Y/N) insisted.
"Oh alright.".
Then (Y/N) was in her element, cooking was a specialty of hers and Kageyama already knew this from the training camp.
Once dinner was all ready Kageyama's father returned and was introduced to (Y/N), who he also took an immediate liking to like Aiko.
-After Dinner Cause I Don't Wanna Write All That Out-
(Y/N) only lives a few blocks down so she insisted to walk home by herself, but Aiko said a pretty girl like her shouldn't walk home so late. So now Kageyama was walking back home after just dropping off (Y/N). "It was already awkward when she cam over, but mom just haaaas to bring out the baby album." Kageyama scoffed to himself.
The night was a fun one for his parents and (Y/N) but the poor guy was just embarrassed all night long. His parents kept telling (Y/N) everything about him, even all the embarrassing things he did as a kid. So now the girl that always made him feel weird when she was around knew a bunch of embarrassing things about him, now it was even weirder.
Anyways when the young Kageyama returned home his parents were smiling brigthly at him, "Uh what's going o-".
"I'm so happy Tobio!" Aiko shouted as she quickly hugged her son.
"Here I thought we'd never get grandkids from you." his father laughed.
"Wait what are yo-".
"Yes and he chose the most perfect girl! She's beautiful, smart, polite, sweet and her cooking is amazing!" Aiko gushed.
"Your mother's right Tobio, you better not mess this up." his father said quite seriously.
"What are you guys even talking about?!" Tobio questioned once his parents had gotten quite.
"Well about you getting (Y/N) to be your girlfriend, obviously." his mother smiled.
"WHAT?!?!".

Blood Demon's Retirement
Civil War had raged on the Al-Shan Archipelago for the past four decades, only recently coming to an end with the enthronement of the new Emperor. This is not his story. The Blood Demon, renowned general of said civil war, was tired of all the fighting and politicking that had described the last four decades of her existence. All she really wanted to do now is to go out into the world and see the many lands from her father's stories. Thus she retired, and went and did exactly what she wanted. This is the story of what happens when you toss a (retired) war machine with somewhat lacking common sense into an unsuspecting world at peace. Chapters will range from 1-2.5k words, scheduled for release every day from Monday to Friday. First time posting a story on Royal Road here, hoping you folks will enjoy. Expect: -slow going slice of life with occassional faster paced action -world building -detailed anecdotes on the world, its races, the magic system, and whatnot every now and then Do not expect: -romance, other than maybe some passing mentions -politics, again, barring passing mentions Any comments, reviews, and criticism will be much appreciated. And thank you for reading. ---------------------------- Disclaimer: This story is my original work and only posted on the Royal Road and Scribblehub websites. If you should find this story elsewhere or under another name, please let me know. Also please don't be too hard on me when I make occasional grammatical mistakes, English is my third language after all. XD Edit suggestions are very welcome though. Discord
