《The Life Not Worth Living (HaikyuuxReader)》𝙰𝚘𝚋𝚊 𝙹𝚘𝚑𝚜𝚊𝚒

Once Hinata was awake I followed him out of the bus, but I wish I didn't have to, I just wanna sleep. I'm so tired, all cause this 'smiling' is wearing me out, how does ginger have so much energy when he's always smiling. I just tiredly followed him, he's so fast, ugh but I'm drained how will I ever-
"(Y/N) are you okay?!"
Sugawara was right in front of me, he was clearly worried and his hand was on my forehead, I think he was checking my temperature. "Yeah, why?" I ask my usual dead tone coming back to me. "You look so tired, and weak maybe you should lie down." he suggests. This dude worries too much, just like Ojisan. "I'm okay just a little tired, but you should worry about your team." I said. Then he looked back to see Asahi, Yamaguchi and Hinata all looking kinda sick, what the heck they all looked fine earlier.
So Sugawara rushed to the aid of the three boys while I just walked inside the gym hoping to find a good seat.
At the stand I saw Aoba Johsai's side filled with supporters yelling out cheers as their team entered the gym. When Karasuno entered the gym their were a few claps, I kinda wanted to cheer for the little sunshine, but I felt so drained I couldn't. So I just clapped as they entered and started warming up.
SO WE ALL KNO- oops sorry about the caps lock, but I'll just keep it like that cause- sorry I'm off topic.
Anyways....
We Haikyu fans all know how this game turned out so I won't focus on the game really. :)
You were quite surprised with the skill level of Aoba Johsai. Their team was so polished, yet their moves were so predictable for you. Unlike Karasuno who relied on tricks, and were a little trickier when it came to predictions. But you and your amazing skill still managed to guess what they were gonna do.
Besides that Aoba Johsai didn't really interest you, well except their flat door- I mean setter and handsome ace. The ace was quite powerful and seemed to work well with all his teammates. While the setter seemed to have quite a good serve and amazing sets, he also read Karasuo quite well (but not as good as you.). 'I think Kageyama said this guy taught him all he knows.' you thought. You also thought he was kinda good looking and that's saying something, you know cause his lack of azz.

But you flushed that idea down the drain when you saw his hoard of fangirls cheering for him.
'Never mind he's a fu- fudgeboy, wait why am I censoring myself, this man is a FUCKBOY.'
Anyways you continued watching the game with some interest, but you also zoned out quite a lot because of all their predictable movements.
'So so so boring..'
'Their gonna do that quick quick attack.'
'Seijoh's gonna do a setter dump.'
'Hmm setter boy did another dump, didn't really expect that.'
You also didn't expect setter boy to lose his cool to the point he had to be switched out. It worried you since you've never seen Suga play. But you were quite pleased to see him bring the spirit of all his teammates up.
(In Spongebob Narrator Voice) Later
Last set, set point, this last play could bring Karasuno to another tie, or give Aoba Johsai the crown of victory. Every serve, receive, set, spike, and every block the key components of the game. Everyone had to be using these weapons at 110% if they wanted to keep the thought of victory in their minds.
Victory,
A Win...
Huh....well Karasuno didn't get to win this time.
The final spike.
Followed by the final block. (Kindichi's OnIoN HeAD AzZ over here bLOckiNg my sunshine boi)
The whistle blows, and it's all over.
No more playing, at least not in this tournament.
All of them were defeated, laying on the floor, trying not to cry their eyes out right then and there. You knew the feeling, having something you're so passionate about something you've been chasing for ages. Suddenly being blocked and taken out of your sight so easily, almost like child's play.
You wanted to go down.
To go and reassure them, help them feel better.
Yet the strain on your body was holding you back, the crushing feeling of knowing there's a pLatuYpuS coNtroLLing you (If You Know You Know). You couldn't move, you felt so tired, you wanted to drop down and sleep right there. But the floor was filthy and ain't nobody gonna deal with that shitz.
So you slowly got up and gathered your things, you walked down the stairs, meeting the team at the exit doors. All of them with broken and hurt faces even your little sunshine boi, (if you hadn't noticed we stan Hinata soo like...yeah deal with it). You quietly walked beside them, no one had the energy to speak, and no one even wanted to so it was alright.

Back on the bus you fell asleep instantly, right next to a hurt Hinata, your head leaning on his little shoulder (Yer out their living the ✨dREaM✨). You wanted to stay up and talk to him, but your eyes shut without your permission. You got stuck in a deep slumber that you desperately wanted to escape yet you couldn't cAuSE ThErE'S a PlaTYPus cONTRolliNg ME anD he'S UNDerNeaTh tHe TAbLE. (I- I was gonna say I'm sorry, but I'm not❤)
In Le Dream
You were living that day over, first you saw the cheering of the crowd, that huge gymnasium all celebrating your win. You had spiked the ball straight through the blockers and won your team yet another ticket to Nationals. You left with your team holding the trophies and medals, still cheering about your win. Then you were outside waiting for your father and brothers to come pick you up. As you stared at the streets you recognized your little car. With your smiling father in the front seat eager to go see and congratulate you.
You were waving at the car swinging the trophy your teammates told you to keep around in the air. Then when your father sent you a small wave....
A giant truck was on the wrong side of the rode, and it crashed right into your car. The car that still had your entire family in it.
Glass was everywhere.
A few screams were heard from people, while others were yelling to call an ambulance.
All you did was stand there, the smile on your face disappearing, and tears staring to stream down your face. Before you knew it your legs were moving on their own, your emotions taking over your entire body. You ran through the street desperate to get to the car, passing all the people trying to help. All the people who were yelling at you to stop, but all of their words were blocked out.
You were desperately trying to save them, throwing rubble from the car out of the way. Ignoring all the cuts on your hands and arms from the glass and other scattered materials littering the road. Even when a piece of glass flew your way and cut at your eye, you felt nothing from it. You just ignored all the pain and focused on them, their faces still having smiles on them, them telling you how much they loved you. And how proud of you they were, for all your achievements and for growing up to be so strong, even thought they were at the brink of death.
The little cries of pain they tried desperately to subdue for your sake, that just motivated you to try harder to help, and you did try harder, you used all your strength.
But it was never enough
All you could do, was watch them die.
End of Le Dream
You woke up, tears in your eyes looking to see the faces of the team. All wondering why you were crying and mumbling in your sleep. "(Y/N) thank goodness you're awake." Sugawara gushed and quickly hugged you. But you didn't have time to worry about the hug, you were still confused, "Why were you crying again?" Hinata quickly asked.
"O-Oh uhh, just a bad dream, no worries." you replied, now let's review, you just made two mistakes. One you stuttered THE (L/N) (Y/N) never stutters unless she's lying, caught off guard or nervous and trust me the last two options never really happen. The second mistake was the letting your accent slip, it wasn't that bad, but it was still hard for anyone to fully understand you.
And of course Takeda took note of both these mistakes, and planned on calling you out.
"Ukai, take the team to start eating, (Y/N) and I are gonna stay here and have a quick chat.".

The Infinite Labyrinth
(Story complete - Book 1 "Shanghaied", 2 "Shortcuts", 3 "Secrets" and 4 "Sanctions") It is the 19th century, and war smoulders between England and France. Any hope for a quick end to Napoleon's rampage across Europe ended when the Great Gates opened in 1800. For a fortunate few, the strange world of the Infinite Labyrinth offers opportunities, strange descriptors popping in their minds, informing them of growth, and status beyond that of a mere mortal. The materials and power crystal they bring back foster a new age, both military and civilian. Aether-powered Skyships prowl the skies, as all the great nations blessed by the Gates try to turn the blessings of the Labyrinth into immediate advantages. But for Jonas, an apprentice leatherworker, his friend Ira, and so many Londoners, the fabled ones that walk the Labyrinth are distant heroes, seen from afar. They fell short when their Potential was measured, and they fill their mundane lives with distant dreams. One man wants to break the stalemate. The Tyrant of the Dominion of France, Napoleon Bonaparte, has a plan. Eighteen years after the world changed, he will force it to change again. And when civilians are caught in the fallout, the unthinkable happens. Six people, unqualified, forbidden to ever enter the Labyrinth, find themselves stranded in a distant zone, forcefully turned into Professionals. They know little of what that means, but they have to figure out the rules that are now their lot, for they have little hope to escape their predicament otherwise. They need to understand what the descriptors in their minds mean, what each of the strange piece of gear waiting in treasure chests behind terrible guardians can bring them. They have to become Professionals on their own and rejoin the Empire. They will figure out their new lives one way or another. But will there be an Empire waiting for them when the Gates re-open? Caught in a clash of empires and high tiers, they will do what little they can. They will step up and do their best. One way or another. The Infinite Labyrinth is a slice-of-life litRPG adventure set in a real historical setting. It's a hard, crunchy litrpg. Expect blue boxes everywhere, and the system itself is very mathy. It started life as a serial. I prepared some proper worldbuilding, with enough details and background for lots of different potential story arcs, but as I wrote, I realized the main story needs to have a definitive end. So, there are four books in total, for a bit under 1500 pages, plus additional side stories, and even maybe a sequel one day. The Gore tag was added as a precaution because there are a few scenes with some light gore.
