I roll out of bed and look out of the window but I don't see anyone or anything. So I walk away before I hear the noise again and I walk over and open the window before seeing nobody. I hear the noise again so I open it one last time and I see someone standing there. It's to dark out to see them so I shake my head and begin to close it again before they start to talk.

"Hey Lils"

You: Oh my god Rodriguez you scared me

Benny: can I come in?

You: Benny it's 1:00 in the morning

Benny: well your not asleep

You: fine hurry up.

I open the window more and Benny hops in and closes it. I walk to my bed before realizing I barely have any clothes on and the idea of that would usually make me self conscious but when I'm around Benny I don't feel that way. I grab my blanket and lay under it when Benny walks over and sits on my bed so I sit up.

You: why'd you come so late

Benny: what I can't come and see my best friend?

You: you do you man

Benny: and I knew you would be awake anyways, why are you always awake?

You: my mind likes to wander

Benny: about what?

You: I don't know usually baseball, or my dad

Benny: what's your dads name?

You; I don't remember every time I ask my mom she ignored me like she can't say it or talk about him. Sometimes I wish she could just get over it and talk about him. Everyday I feel like I loose him more and more. The only thing I remember of my own god damn father is that he liked baseball. What kind of daughter is that.

I start to feel tears prick my eyes and I look down realizing I just spilt all my emotions to him. But then I feel arms wrap around my waist and I put my head on his shoulder.

Benny: Lilly it's not your fault your dad is probably so proud of you. I mean damn your one the best baseball players I've ever seen.

You: thanks Benny

Benny: lay down you need some sleep

I nod my head and let go of Benny before laying down. I feel him get off the bed and the blankets thrown off of me before feeling the bed dip and arms around me.

You: Benny?

Benny: shh

I smile and turn around placing my head on his chest and falling asleep to the sound of his heartbeats.

I felt so bad after Lilly said all I that I mean I know how it feels but she knows nothing about her father not even his name. Before I realized I pulled her to me and I hear a couple sniffles before telling that her dads probably very proud of her. I tell her to lay down which she does and I debate on staying or leaving. But in the end I stay and I wrap my arm around her waist before she smiles and puts her head on my chest. I look down at her as she falls asleep and I think to my self how much I like this girl, I honestly like her more than baseball. Plus all my mom talks about is how she loves Lilly and her mom so It wouldn't be a bad thing. And it's not like she wouldn't take me away from baseball or family. But there's one thing in the way of all that I know she doesn't like be back and she probably won't she could have any guy in the Valley she would never choose me. I sigh and fall asleep with Lilly in my arms.

I woke up in the morning after having one of the best sleeps i've had in nearly a year. I completely forgot that Benny was here before sitting and feeling him pull me back down onto the bed.

Benny: we still have 20 minutes

He says it in his raspy morning voice that was oddly attractive. I sigh before laying back down on my bed and his grip tightens on my waist.

20 minutes pass and I remove Bennys arm before standing up.

Benny: Lilly I was comfortable

You: Benny I have to get dressed we're going to the sandlot in 15 minutes.

Benny: ok bossy pants

I roll my eyes and grab a pair of Jean shorts and a tuck in a loose black T-shirt and I change in my bathroom. I walk back into my room and tie my hair back with a bandana before turning around and looking at Benny still laying in my bed.

You: Benny get up

Benny: your beds comfortable

You: we have to go to Sandlot

Benny: fineeeee

He stands up and walks over to me before I remember the event that took place the night before. So I walk over to him and hug him expectantly and I feel his hands wrap around my waist.

You: I didn't properly thank you for last night, so thank you.

Benny: anytime Anderson

I pull away from his grasp and pick up my glove from the floor.

You: know cmon I know you don't like being late

Benny: it's a exception when I'm with you

I blush at his comment, Oh my god is he flirting. No no no Benny only cares about Baseball.

You: let's goooooo

I grab his hand and pull him out of my house before my mom could notice he was here already. He runs to his house and grabs his stuff before the both of us run to the Sandlot.

Benny and I pass the ball around for a little bit before all of the boys arrive. We play baseball for a few hours taking small breaks in between. This is pretty much what we do everyday for the next 9 days.
