i look at you
like you look at the sunsets
those pinks mix with the bright oranges
like the rosy tint on your cheeks
mixes with your pale skin
and the tiny appearance of stars
like the freckles on your face
i long for you
like you long for the sunsets
to last longer than they do
because they second you look away
they've slipped from your grasp
and the pretty pink haze
is replace with a dark sky
