i follow the railroad tracks overgrown with moss
balancing on its rusty rails,
hoping to find somewhere new
i've been following it since childhood
hoping for it to lead me somewhere new—
a place where the skies are never grey,
somewhere cliché like in fairytales
but i always end up back in my backyard
fenced off from the woods
no matter how long i travel
but i still try
even when i end up with cuts and bruises
from constantly falling in ruble
i guess i never learn

Beyond the Horizon's Eye
It is less than two weeks after the event known as the Flux Causality, and two days after the Grand Council has put forth the edict demanding the immediate retrieval and deletion of all Stringhoppers. Finding such Travelers, however, is proving more difficult than expected. A young boy and his sister find themselves violently taken from their world to another, and soon thereafter are forcibly separated. Now sold into slavery, the young man must find not only a reason to survive but a purpose to carry him home. The journey has just begun, and the hardest step is always the first one. ~ This is my attempt at both the Xianxia/Wuxia and Portal/Isekai genre of fiction that I love, and the means to provide a story set in such guidelines, while distancing myself from some of the more common tropes. After a battle between a civilized king and his father, Bolahulag was sent as hostage to learn the economy and military of the nation his father defeated. Derai knew nothing more than being an orphan, but when a merchant took her in, the world she thought impossible soon became a reality. Monghe, stuck in a school exemplifying strength for most of his life, began to understand what he needed to do in order to be strong instead of weak. Story is mostly about nothing. Fermboi does most of the nothing. Aventina does most of the military things. Bolahulag does a balance of economy and military. Derai focuses on economy. Monghe spitfires what it means to be a typical hero. Hopefully this is enough to give a general idea to people who don’t like going blind aside from the work being purportedly “good.” Who am I kidding, my writing is terrible. I hope it improves though.
