our hands intertwined

our feet move moving across the wooden floor

in my dining room

the record player playing that 60's song you love so much

you twirl me into your arms, a rosy tint appearing on the apples of my cheeks

the staticky audio comes to an end it you pay no mind as you still sway to the silence

neither of us daring to move

maybe one day you'll be gone, you'll lose the will to fight

but i'll always have this moment

of me in my pink dress my mother got me

and you in your work clothes from the couple hours before that day

as we dance in the dining room in a cold winter night
